      Honestly I'm willing to bet it's just so niche that the algorithm and I are having a hard time getting it to the right audience; it's probably just a matter of time and refining until the stars align!

    I think your van looks bad ass. Aaand the shifting thing is sick. I hope you shred your record at the drag strip

      I will say, the tune is definitely coming to life, so it should definitely be able to beat it!

    The rough shifting might be fixed by using PWM to apply less force to the solenoids... but that's just a guess... well done.

      @@tnast I have a 2012 type SH6 speed automatic and I’m trying to figure out how to make my own shift box so that it’s not codependent on the ECU for tuning and I want to up my line pressure most of the time because it’ll actually save the transmission by shifting faster and harder without allowing any slip what’s your thoughts I don’t think there would be any difference between your set up and mine except one extra gear what would you charge to make another one of those

    • @tnast

      I'm hoping to be able to market the controller and make it configurable for different vehicles. I'm not entirely certain how they set up the 6 speeds, but as long as there's not too many solenoids it should be compatible with the right settings.

      @@tnast id sign a contract to take full responsibility for any damage and test it for u, and if it works I’ll purchase it.
      I have a boosted j35s1 mated to my 6 speed automatic, and the internet said using that saturn vue engine wouldn’t be able to work, jokes on them. They need to wrench more and type less

    • @tnast
      @tnast  2 года назад

      That would be excellent! I'm currently working on a V2 of the controller that'll be a much more polished device, and I'm hoping to get a couple sent out to some people for testing. I should have a video "introducing" it fairly soon!

    You should hook up a sequential shifter they us on simulators

    • @tnast
      @tnast  2 года назад +1

      I actually considered doing something like that! The 3D printed shifter is definitely just temporary until I get something like that. Or maybe I'll get a custom billet shifter?

  • @Drunken_Hamster

    Do you know if there's any way to make the reaction time faster? I really want to be able to get a torque converter auto to shift like a dual-clutch. As soon as I click the shifter, BOOM, it's there. Lag between user input and transmission reaction is my main issue, even if shift time and accuracy is more accurate and you have to coordinate less, I want my decision to change gears matter WHEN I make it, y'know?

    • @tnast
      @tnast  2 года назад

      If you haven't watched later videos on the transmission I won't spoil anything for you, but it definitely does improve. The main thing you're seeing here is early stages of testing research and development!

      @@tnast Nice! I’ve been considering the same thing. I bought a few yards of OEM tan fabric and OEM tan vinyl to cover it but haven’t made any effort yet. Do you have any good video of your console?

    • @tnast
      @tnast  2 года назад

      I don't have a video of it, but I can try and get some photos together from when I was building it.
      It's actually pretty easy to make, the challenging parts are really just getting the original "console" (if you could even call it that, lol) out and getting your measurements and dimensions right.
