I ran my Honda Odyssey on Watkins Glen, here's how it went
Просмотров 707Год назад
It's been a little bit since I've published here, and I'm looking to get back into things. This footage was taken in the Spring of 2023, and I edited it a month or so ago, and didn't get around around to uploading until just now. It was pretty much just some parade laps around the Watkins Glen track for the 2023 season opening weekend. This is more of just a relaxing clip featuring some real ni...
What happens when you put an Odyssey on a dyno?
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.Год назад
After a whole spring and summer of street tuning, I finally put my Honda Odyssey on the dyno! How much power did it make, and how much could I find on the dyno? These J series motors are known for being pretty dyno happy! The dyno guy is super knowledgeable on dynos, and said that compared to the DynoJets you'll find everywhere else on RUclips, his reads a good bit lower. He definitely made the...
What does my unique V6 Honda Odyssey exhaust sound like?
Просмотров 8 тыс.2 года назад
What does a 2004 Honda Odyssey with a J35a4 v6 sound like with a totally custom exhaust? It's got stainless steel headers, a stainless custom unequal length "J Pipe", 3" high flow catalytic converter, 2.25x12" Vibrant resonator, and a 2.25" Thrush glasspack muffler. Personally, I think this is one of the most unique sounding minivans you'll ever find. BUY A STICKER nast.studio/product/nonsense-...

At $135, are these eBay bi-led H4 retrofit projector headlights any good? I took the chance so you don't need to! Is this the cheapest digital dashboard?
Просмотров 4852 года назад
Don't have all the gauges you need or want? Real digital cluster too expensive? Pod gauges also too much? THIS very well may be the cheapest way to add gauges to your dashboard! It'll work with the AEM Series 2 ECU, and probably any other standalone ECU that provides live data to a connected computer. You could even potentially accomplish this without a standalone ECU using a Bluetooth OBD diag...

I manually controlled an automatic. Can it drive?
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.2 года назад
I designed and built a transmission controller to manually control the automatic transmission in my Honda Odyssey- will it destroy my transmission? FINALLY Testing My Odyssey's DIY Transmission Controller

Yup, I finally tested the transmission controller on my Honda Odyssey's BYBA transmission! Granted it's only on jack stands and not the road, which was so that if it broke immediately, I'd already have it in the garage. If you're curious, this is probably the best way to run an automatic transmission on a J series with a standalone ECU! Obviously a proper manual is preferable, but that's anothe...

Hey bro, I’m trying to do the same thing with an Arduino controller I have certain solenoids that I have to power in a combination one through six up-and-down with two separate buttons gear up button and gear down, but of course you know how to do all that what I need is the code and maybe a wiring schematic. I’m very new to coding but I have a pretty good idea of how to wear this thing up and how it’s gonna work and what needs to be put into the code. I just don’t know how to say it.😂 get back to me🏎️🏎️💨🧪🧪🧪

I realise this is an old video but just going to have a yarn for shits and giggles. I did similar (but not) to an old Nissan safari 4wd. I removed the factory controller and simply wired a bunch of relays into the solenoids and inhibitor switch. Basically the trans became fully manual and you would shift by moving through 1st, 2nd, D and then by pushing the OD button while in D to get 4th. It worked extremely well. The factory controller would provide a signal to the line pressure solenoid to drop pressure during shifts - I just left that completely u powered so I had 100 % line pressure all the time. Shit it worked flawlessly! But absolutely no safety mechanisms so you could go far too easily to 1st gear at any speed 😂😂. I now have a 3.5l v6 corolla (Toyota blade) with a shit trans so thinking about using an arduino to do it moving forward.....just so much more complex with the CAN system

Sounds much better than it did without the resonator. One thing I will suggest, and I don't mean this to be critical, but the color temperature of your headlights is too high. I would go with a 5000k bulb (I like 3000k for fogs for that nice yellowish color). Too many people drive around with blue headlights, and it makes no sense because it's actually much harder to identify objects at night when you're shining blue light on them. It wrecks the contrast created by the light beam (the best lighting for night visibility are actually the amber-ish sodium street lights, which unfortunately are being replaced by much higher-temp LED street lights in many areas). By going with a 5000k bulb, you'll get better visibility and more of a pure white-looking illumination which I personally think looks WAY better than the blue bulbs that most people put on their cars. It's also less obnoxious to look at for other drivers.
