@@TogetherForTreasure I'm in HB. Just got a Nox 800 for my 60th birthday. Took it out today at the end of the Newport Peninsula for 2 hours in the bay. Found a silver bracelet, about $2.00 in old quarters, a bunch of fishing weights of all sizes. I upgraded from a White's MXT Tracker e-series that served me well for about 6 years. There's no comparison. I'd love to get put there with you guys sometime. I'm looking forward to the airshow this weekend.
The beach we stay at in Florida has like a sand curb on the edge where the water meets the beach. Lots of broken shells gather there. It sounds like that would be a place of interest for me? This January will be my first beach detecting. Your videos are wonderful. So instructive. Thank you!
Yes I have to agree that you two are awesome for this hobby, you make watching your videos worth watching with your tips and advice and help to anyone at this hobby. Two questions for you though, have you ever submerged your noxs, and two, do you seal your coil protectors to your coils to keep the mineralised sand getting in and giving false signals, just your thoughts on them. Keep up the good work and making more awesome videos from Paraic in the West of Ireland.
Thanks for the awesome comment Paraic sloyan Sloyan! Irene and I have both submerged our Nox's and have not had any water intrusion yet. I do inspect our gear if we plan to get it wet and have a tube of superglue and 5min 2 part epoxy for any thing that looks like a crack. We dont seal our coil protectors permanently but we do clean them after our hunts and sometimes during our hunt if we feel we are getting falsing.

Great tips. I call that line of targets the "heavy line". I think it's created as the wave pulls back, it loses energy and anything heavy falls out. Once I find the heavy line, that's narrow band I start gridding.
Irene is doing great! Baby is healthy and growing fast. I have finally been moved into a senior position at my work so she can stay home full time and metal detect. I just want her to be a happy spoiled mommy and she is.

Hi Greg! You must be psychic. Irene and I started hunting with Rosemary and she loves it. We were able to meet up with Jim and Monique to get some Detectin' in. We scored a 14k Gold, 2 Silver and a Stainless Ring. A few Lbs. of fishing weights and a sunburn later we are back at it!
Keith! Turns out the sucker may be a ROLEX signet ring. We got a tip that some of the jewelers that make these are super high end like Versace. Don't think this on is Versace but 16 grams of 18k gold is a ton to be tossing into a ring.
Hey Queensbridge HipHop! We always keep iron on and we turn its volume up in the settings. The main reasons for this are 1. Deep Gold sounds like iron on the Nox. 2. Iron is heavy. If we find heavy iron objects other heavy objects may be near. 3. This hunt was a perfect example, most of our targets did not sound normal or clear. We were digging repeating Iron signals mostly. And out would pop a quarter. It all comes down to soil and minerals where your digging. Hunting with iron on is the best for us.
Good Targets that are falsing iron is when you can hear all the other Iron "Grunts" some will stand out and sound super solid. Most of the dimes in this hunt sounded like a solid iron tone. The iron sands don't. The ones that are just the soil and etc minerals really do sound inconsistent, choppy or won't repeat. The best way to describe it is that, It's like hunting with your sensitivity all the way up. You get a lot of beeps and chirps and skips but you will still hear a Quarter and know ok there is something, it gives a solid report and I can get the signal to repeat under the coil.

This was one of the biggest hunts we've ever had. I almost had to stop recording because we had so many targets. Recording just slowed us down HaHa.
