  • Hello and welcome to another model railway exhibition report video. In this video we will be taking a look at most of the layouts that are on display at the 2024 Diamond Creek Easter Model Train Exhibition. This exhibition is put on by the Yarra Valley Model Railway Club and as usual this is an excellent exhibition and is one of the best in Melbourne. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you for showing the Melton layout. I was behind the stall running trains.

No worries at all. Look forward to seeing it at another exhibition.

The first layout was actually built by former Sunbury Model Railway Club members, John Hill, Roy Hill, Kevin Schultz and ? (Can't remember his name) it was inspired by the Settle and Carlisle Line and Dent Station in England, and was exhibited back in the early 1990's - it was donated to the SMRC a few years ago and modified somewhat. Often, the original builders are forgotten......

Great, thank you for sharing so quickly. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it this year.

Too much Thomas. Cinamon Port is very nice.

At least the Sodorese trains had some light weathering and realistic loads in the wagons. Not all straight out of the box trains with only 2 or 3 wagons as is usually the case. ;-)
