- Hello and welcome back to another layout renovation series video. In this video I'll be focusing on the level crossing scene in the countryside section of the layout. This one is a much better one then the previous level crossing I had on the layout. This video is also quite long in fact its my longest video to date so get something to eat and something to drink and enjoy.

Good idea with the pencils and foam.
Thanks. It's a good way to mark out where you want to put your road and also have it a consistent size.
Great.
Boomer's Diorama has some good vids on level crossings too.
I believe I have seen his videos on level crossings. He has done some amazing builds.

Thanks John. I'm super pleased with how this scene has turned out. It is one that I'll be getting a lot of shots at when doing running sessions.
Looks great. Not you just need some flashing crossing lights.
Thanks mate. Yes I do plan to wire up the level crossing lights. Just need to get a level crossing flasher unit then I'll be able to wire them up.
Circuitron makes a great detector and flashing circuit. I’ve posted a couple videos on how to install them. Easy install. Let me know if you want a link to the video. Cheers!
@@HartfordWhaler cheers. Yes please a link to a video on how to install them would be appreciated.
What's the saw thing you used to get rid of the excess from the insides of the track to let the train through?
The tool I used is called a Dremel also known as a rotary tool. Hope that answers your question.
@@NicholassTrainChannel Thanks I already purchased one and got it a few days ago.
