    Sir i am designing a flyback with 600 V input and 48 V output. There is very small ringing in drain to source voltage of MOSFET. I am getting rinnging in the drain current. Why is that so?

    How about the active clamping? Would you like to share some Knowledge on that.

      @@hobby_plus I am talking about active clamping circuit,the circuit you are using that is passive clamping

    Why voltage is doubled to 620 V at point 2

    • @hobby_plus
      @hobby_plus  3 месяца назад

      220 volt AC is = (220 X 1.4142) DC = 311 Volt Approx. It is constantly present in the circuit. But when transformer is in ON mode (Mosfet in active mode) electromagnetic field increased. When Mosfet is in OFF mode electromagnetic field convert to voltage and it is 311 volt. respect to ground you can get 622 volt in Point2. Because 311 volt (DC power) still present on the transformer transformer. So 311V + 311V = 622V. That is 311V DC power sources in series.

      @@hobby_plus Thank you but still not clear, at pt 2 do the voltage doubles ehen MOSEFET is On or Off, and why it should double
