Anxiety disorder(& social anxiety is a disorder) thought pattern can't be interrupted for longer than a few seconds if you really are mental ill. Everything else shouldn't be called anxiety. It's fear our being nervous. This tip only helps if you are at a good point with a anxiety. October-November this would have done nothing for me. But good tip for nervous people :)
Erin Henry I totally understand and it can also help with anxiety disorder, if it isn't in the worst phase. Just the "social anxiety" aspect of it confused me, because it's a part of thr disorder :)

I was going to suggest deep breathing also! Another great way to change your state is by slowing down your heart rate. x take a deep inhale for 5, hold for 3 and exhale for 5 xx
