Now that's how to make a RUclips instructional video - No inane chitchat, no annoying music, no kids running around and screaming in the background. Professional and to the point. I learned so much in such a short period of time! Definitely going to try some of these :)
Hi Linda, yes there are two vids that you need, they are both on the channel under the chocolate playlist (look for the one with a picture of chocolate lolly pop and the other that has a picture of grated chocolate )
These are really good techniques to do easy chocolate work without using acetate paper. One thing to note is whenever you're doing chocolate (or even sugar) work on foil, spray the foil with a bit of cooking spray so that the garnishes come off of the foil with minimal breakage.
Hi Charlotte Berl, If I have time to temper I use cadbury block chocolate because I like the taste. If short on time I use nestle chocolate melts which do not contain cocoa butter so do not need tempering.
You are so creative! Your tutorials are concise and shows us that we do not need the fancy equipment that the other tutorials have. I am a novice baker and have to admit that I have spent quite a bit of money on equipment. I just started working with fondant and the cutters, veiners and petal dust are expensive. So happy I found your videos !
Hi Linette, yes you need to temper your chocolate or it will melt at room temp - there is a link at the end of this video or in the description under this video to the temper video that explains how to do that. Or you can use 'fake' chocolate like candy melts.
Hi Midnightlove404 usually I use either nestle dark and white chocolate melts or cadbury block chocolate. Melts are generally easier to work with as they seem easier to keep in temper.
Hi Ambriz57, You do not need to temper candy melts as they contain a different type of fat. Chocolate is made from cocoa butter and candy melts are made with vegetable fat. But you can still use them for chocolate decorations - if you like the taste.
Hi 01nadiaaa you will need lollipop sticks - put them on your baking paper and then pipe a swirl of chocolate over the top half of the stick. Then before it sets sprinkle with sprinkles for kids or chopped pistachio nuts and dried fruits for adults or popping sugar.
Hi kurtismg, I find dark easier to keep in temper. Please click on 'show more' just under the description beneath the video and then on 'chocolate tutorials' and it will take you to the chocolate videos playlist. There is a video on what chocolate to use and another on how to keep chocolate in temper.
Hi Alyssa Beaman, It depends on the chocolate you are using but usually it only takes a few minutes to firm up in the fridge or about 10 minutes if left at room temp.
Hi Archana, If you are after the template for piping it is free on the blog just follow the link in teh description below the video and you will find it on that page. If you are after the plastic patterned mats there is a link in the description below the video to a store that sells the rubbings book that these all come at the back of.
I don't understand much english but the chocolate circle I'll use it in a tiramisu as a desert to my family for this christmas, thanks you for teach this
I truly love how every time I read your title with chocolate written I hear the lovely way you say it that makes me smile! Huge fan of all your content!
Hi pokergalpoker, if you are using real chocoalte containing cocoa butter let them set on the bench, if compund or fake chocolate that contains vegtable oil then in the freezer for about 5 minutes. I havent seen wax paper here so you'd have to try it and see if the chocolate sticks to it when set or not.
They have been tempered properly which means it has been melted to a specific temperature so it is runny enough to work with but not to the point where the cocoa butter crystals melt and not set firm at room temp.
Hi Seyed, please watch the video on what chocolate to use for decorations, click on how to cook that to go to the channel and you'll find it there under chocoalte. Hersheys is real chcooalte so will need tempering for it to set at room temp, there is a vid there on tempering too.
hi Jenni Yr, no you need to use tempered chocolate which is just normal chocolate melted in a special way so that it sets firm. Click on How To Cook That to go to the channel and you'll find a video on tempering there.

Hi Ale, yes if you click on How To Cook THat to go to the channel and then go to the chocolate playlist there is a video there on tempering chocolate that shows you how to melt the chocolate,
