The Doomsday device's hull was composed of solid neutronium, the only way to take it out is massive explosion inside it.
Iike the one of the engines overloaded of an constitution class starship (R.I.P U.S.S. Constellation)
@@sirjanin exactly 💯
You were right it was made of "Solid Neutronium" according to Spock. Spock said there was no known way to blast through it. It was cool to see you two-three shot the Atraiu's when you were in the Doomsday Machine.
Yes, I don’t think the simulation was entirely canon. Still it’s always fun taking down the planet destroyer 🖖
An anti-proton weapon would be great against unshielded targets as the APs would annhilate the matter of the hull acting as a perfect cutting beam that also releases massive amounts of energy into the ship as it cuts. Against shields however it's no better than a proton weapon and wouldn't be all that effective.
I remember a ST book that said this was a prototype released early to maybe fight the Borg. An alien woman connected to PIcard back track this one's path and found another like 4 times this ones size. On the the other side of the Galactic Barrier.
1:06 ⚠️ RED ALERT ⚠️ throwing excessive amounts of Neelix's cooking into the doomsday machine will cause a chain reaction that will destroy the entire quadrant! 🙀
Regurgitate! Regurgitate! Regurgitaaateee! ~ Dalek suffering from food poisoning
Lol! Starfleet thought an Omega explosion was bad, wait till they see a Neelix Food one. Seems like we need a new directive? 🤔🖖
Phasers againt Neutromium-Hull. Funny game, indeed
"Shame we can't tractor Neelix' shuttle...." you made me spit gin on my keyboard I lol'd so hard!!! :)
I now have the song from the movie Neverending story stuck in my head.
I wanna see you drop a warp core into the opening see if it would kill it
I don't think the Intrepid was designed to be an anti-borg ship, it was a long range science / explorer vessel. The Nova wasn't an anti-borg ship either, that was designed as a short range science ship. Perhaps you were thinking of the Defiant, that was the other anti-borg ship along with the Saber, Akira and Steamrunner.
THE Doomsday machine was indeed made of Nutronium you are correct sir......great as all ways RB 👏
Thanks Buddy 🖖
😂oh gosh I had the same Idea.. lol.. well done Captain.. the ship is tough.. and yes the A.I. was '' adapting', lol. I do like the Atraiu.. funny how the computer ships fired on the outside and not inside. but still made damage.. hmm.. and other way around. hmm where did the crew sit.. just saying.. lol. at least we know the ship was made for this. just like you said for the other ships, made for fighting the Borgies.. great battle Captain.!!!😊🖖
Thanks Steve! Yes, I don’t think it was Canon. Just a bit of fun. I really like how its core burned out at the end, like in the TOS episode 🖖
Neutronium, the stuff neutron stars are made of,
Ahh! But have they tried launching a kitchenload of Neelix’s cooking towards the centre orifice? Im sure its the super weapon they’ve been looking for that not even the Doomsday machine could withstand!
😂🖖
😂😂
It would be great to have the odyssey class starship with the saucer separation, you know. The multi vector assault mode. Can launch the aquarius class, something like the enterprise G but less powerful than it.
Yeah, the AI doesn't like this model very much it has a very hard time controlling it, let alone firing. One on one, maybe, but all these? Nah. It's a cake walk. :D Great video!
That was a seriously amazing video
Spock did say theyd need multiple starships in order to outright destroy it
It was made out of Pure Solid Neutronium.
The Battle - Video is good! 🌟🌟🌟🌟❤️💙👍🖖.
Jeeze I almost felt bad for the doomsday machine in the first battle.
So awesome!!!!
What if you took the Defiant against it the Doomsday Machine? Best way to test your theory about the pulse phasers being effective against the neutronium hull
The villans are the unsung stars of sci fi if created right!
Doomsday- VS- Borg cube !!
Yes the doomsday machine hull is neutonium
Oh the Doomsday machine actually did something good! One less Crossfield is always a bonus for the galaxy!
The SPACE BLUNT❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
The bigger the ship - the harder is it to turn.
Alas, poor Doomy. I knew him, Ho-retro-ratio. 💀😛
Ummm just throw a warp core down the hatch or just place it in front of it. It's like after you kill one " oh so that's how you do it"
With how innovative the Federation is and how much they fully invested themselves into scientific research and technology, it's always annoying to see how far behind they lag whenever there is a threat, especially when it's the collective knowledge of over a thousands species against a single species.
Doomsday vs 8472 would be interesting
fun fact: in DS( they very clearly state that even quantum torpedoes won;t damage Nutronium alloy so these ships SHOULD have been utterly useless firing anywhere but the mouth.
I believe it's neutronium as well.
"solid neutronium" xD
Of course, Neelix will be tied and gagged on board his shuttle when you throw it down the throat of that machine. The Doctor would try to be too humane by giving him a sedative instead.
Badger, I have a few ideas for you.
1) Excelsior v Galor
2) Constitution Refit v Gorn Battleship
3) D-7 (K’t’inga) v Andorian “Kumari”
4) Daedalus v Xindi Reptilian
Thanks, I'll add those to the list 🖖
Just came up with another… Terran Empire dimension, a Ferengi D’Kora stumbles into restricted space patrolled by 6 M5 original Constitutions hoping for an easy raid.
ramming speed
Have u ever watched Star Trek Continues? the fan series based after TOS S3? could you do a fleet of TOS ships VS a fleet of Doomsday machines?
Pit the Atriu fleet against a Borg cube .
Someone needs to make one of the doomsday machines which has been taken over by Starfleet. Name, you ask? U.S.S. Stogie or perhaps U.S.S. Havana... Any other ideas?
Haha! Uss Romeo Julieta 🖖
Fire the hargh'peng torpedoes!
During the TOS era, Starfleet only had 12 Constitution class ships. There is no way they could or would commission 8 of these. Maybe 2 or 3 at most. That would be a more realistic test.
Or 13. Kirk's ambiguous line in "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" is, "There are only twelve like it in the fleet". Kirk and Cpt Christopher are discussing the Enterprise at the time which would indicate a total of 13 Constitution class starships. But it is possible Kirk shifted to talking about the fleet in general in which case 12 ships is the total. Either way I agree you are correct to point out that a lot of ships this much further advanced than the Constitution would be a struggle for Starfleet to field at that time. They appear to be superior to the Excelsior which would not arrive for many years after the Doomsday machine was encountered!
In Discovery starfleet was stated to have 11,000+ ships before the klingon war though. Admittedly the fact that these are highly advanced ships would limit their numbers but they seem quite capable of constructing lots of ships.
@@keyboardt8276 Key words, "In Discovery." Everything you might say after that should be automatically dismissed. I was talking about REAL Trek, (hense my TOS reference), not KURTZMAN Trek.
@@E1SerpienteAgreed!
Kurtzman Trek is consistently faulty enough that I am careful as to what I accept. That said I could see that Starflleet could have 11,000 ships on it's books but I would expect that to include a wide range of classes including shjps in various supporting roles and also older craft, not just front line state of the art capital ships
Would the USS Voyager with future Janeway's modifications destroy the Doomsday Machine?
The creature?
