I heard this model has a factory fault in form of crappy fans that have ti be replaced for making noise - a creaky rattling sound - grinding on the housing etc. And it has a really bad high gloss screen reflecting all during day...
Bought mine, an i7 for about 1000 USD. Holy shit this laptop is awesome! Reinstalled os using media creator, before that though i logged in to ms office so i also get the license for the office. I am more than happy to get such a powerful laptop for about 1/3 of the price of a mac

@@anupalsharma i just bought it, it is great,k but intel stopped support for the cpu with XTU, so you can no longer tweak the voltage or TDP.

Anirban Chakraborty Thanks. Yes I still using it as my daily driver and my main 4K video editing machine. In fact every video after this one that I upload on my channel is edited on this notebook. I got only one issue to report in all this time and that's is GPU cooling fan. few months ago GPU fan starts making rattling noise so I order replacement fan on Aliexpress and I change It myself. It was easy. Same procedure as for Extra HDD install just few more extra screws. Other than that no other isuses. Works like charm.

Damien Thanks mate! I still have mine and it's still my daily driver and it works great! Every single video after this review on my channel is edited and encoded in 4K on this Notebook. The best investment ever, It completely replaced my desktop PC. I also added one more SSD to secondary slot.

You can delete all the system partition, windows key will survive anyway. I checked on my own example. But still I have issue with windows office so I recommend logging in to your windows account before reinstalling the system.

The feature that I love most in this laptop is that it has an extra slot for storage, so I don’t have to throw away the old m.2 ssd.

Hi, Nexi Tech... can you do a video or explain how you solve the problem with the SSD drive speed, please? I have the sam problem you had. Is necessary to put the drivers? I have tried with some of them, but windows 10 even have installed more updated controllers than I find in the MI webpage. Thanks in advance.
First try to do measurement first with newest Crystal disk mark to confirm speed, then check it with Samsung magical even if drive is not supported. Then check you version of BIOS. Mine is XMAKB5R0P0502.
8 days to get the notebook? It takes about 8 days for a package to arrive here in Brazil and another 30-45 days until we can put the hands on it :(

very nice review, covering all the important aspects of the notebook. I'm really considering buying it, if only Xiaomi would've put in a 1050 or 1050 ti. the low gaming performance is the only thing holding me back, I love everything else about this notebook.
The thing is, the vast majority of laptops at this price point don't even include a dedicated GPU. Asking for more than the mx 150, which already plays game like counter strike and overwatch on high settings, at 1080p at frame rates exceeding 100 is asking too much.
If you want a better GPU you HAVE to pay more for a better laptop.
Is there any 1to version ??

I don't think thats possible, The ram memory is integrated in the motherboard like on the macbooks and most modern thin notebooks.
