They changed it to pink for the films because each member of the trio had a different colour scheme. Dan was blue. Rupert was Red and Hermione was Pink

Blue is accurate for the books. Personally I think the pink colour suits Emma Watson better. In the end of the day she is the personification of Hermonie so it needs to be what works best with and more importantly for her. I don't know if Emma had a say in the pink dress or not but it works very well for her in my opinion.

I'd prefer blue as well but visually the change in the movie made sense. Otherwise it would have blended with the ice surroundings and it wouldn't stick out that much.
Sooooo pretty but I like pink in the movies because she wears pink when she isnt wearing the uniform and the whole yule ball theme was blue so this helped her stand out and make her feel special
