If you look at it from an aerial view, you will see that it is a star fort and not a castle.

Just so sad that the walls in the courtyard were painted that ugly yellow.🙈
Its not a castle, its a star fort. And I think they dug it out of the mud. These star forts are to be found globally, there's one in Angola, but I only know of these 2 in Africa. I think they were dug out of the mud and claimed to have built them. Table Mountain's history is not what we think.
