This attraction always holds a special place in my heart. Though it no longer exists, the memories of seeing Barney in person remain constant. I remember seeing this for the first time at two years old. I couldn't keep my eyes off Barney and barely moved an inch. I also remembered how my parents persuaded me to go dance with the dinos but was too nervous! I was even baffled by the playground sets next door, it was like I was living in a world made just for me. I'm so glad I was able to experience my time with Barney at Universal for all these years!! ❤
That was amazing. I had no idea that a promotional video for a day at the park with Barney exists And it is really cool of some of the interviews like Barney's creator Sheryl Leach and Dennis DeShazer It is a pity that it was shut down into the pandemic but man, if it was around like a couple of years, I would've got the chance to see Barney myself.
I saw this show back in 1996, but I was like 1-2 years old so I have 0 memory of it lmao. I do still have a couple photos though, there was a pic of the character at 4:47 and I had no idea what they were from until now lol. I believe they tore down The Bates Motel to build this attraction.
I really miss this attraction ❤️ whenever I went to universal, a day in the park with barney was always the very first attraction I went to before I went on anything else because that show meant a lot to me. everytime I got a hug from barney, it was like a dream come true for me and it always cheered me up whenever I had a bad day, I wish they could bring back a Barney meet and greet because there are still a lot of barney fans here in Florida, including me, that would love to go see our favorite purple dinosaur again
Amazing! I really love this. It opened when I was 5 and 23 years later I finally saw Barney there in 2018 at age 28 and I still felt young like a kid in the 1990s again. I really miss seeing him there and its sad alot of stuff from the 1990s isn't there anymore.
"How do we best promote the new Barney attraction?" "Lets start off by showing the scary King Kong and Jaws rides and then show off Apollo 13. Pre-Schoolers love Apollo 13."
The Barney costume used in “A Day in the Park with Barney” in 1995-1996 shares the resemblance from the costume used in Seasons 3 and 9. Barney’s eyes are a lot less sunken than the previous costumes and the shadows around them are permanently removed having the same color as the body himself. His teeth are taller, his tail is more curved, his toes are larger and closer to the soles and the ankles are only connected at the back.
Beautiful very beautiful I loved every minute of it I loved how Sheryl teased the next projects, but she didn't mention the Big Surprise Tour, my guess is that the show is still in the works, or she wanted to keep it under wraps.
Hey Andrew! It’s been a while since my last comment, but this comment is a question regarding A Day in the Park with Barney itself: you said before that all of the Barney, Baby Bop, and BJ costumes were surrendered to Mattel shortly after the attraction ended. Do you or anybody else know what has happened to them since then? Were they destroyed? Are they in the process of being heavily restored due to the terrible condition they were left in? I’d love to know!

This is a fantastic find and look at the early days of the attraction - thanks for sharing! 💜
It’s funny, because I wasn’t feeling good this week and one of these Day In The Park videos made me cry, despite never really seeing it for myself.

I loved the King Kong & Jaws rides when I was a little kid.
To be fair, preschoolers love astronomy so

1995-1996 Season 3 and Season 10-11 Suit
Universal was awesome in the 90s and early 2000s.
Oh My! What A Gem!
The part at 2:09-2:13 reminds me of a dream I had once: when Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop performed at one of my elementary schools!
I’m still saddened the show had to end in 2020 (curse you pandemic!)
But 25 years is a real incredible run!
You can tell by the movements, that’s early Carey at the grand opening and at the shows in Boston and Philly
Also Norman OK
The Barney attraction at Universal Studios has been for 25 years ago.
I love Barney the Dinosaur
Me too
Same. But except I made
Barney’s Sing Along Show,
the 1994 edition I made
from The Lost Media.
R.I.P. A Day in the Park With Barney

Child: Bye, Barney. See you soon.
Barney: Bye bye. And remember, I love you.
Child: I love you too.
The music they're playing in that video is Castle so high
I think Kyle Nelson that who plays BJ in the grand opening of a day in the park with Barney show.
I think that was a Universal employee! Kyle wasn't a-part of Barney until 1996
the first time i went universal studios was when i was 10 years old
this is rare by i see footage from the sing along with bj and baby bop before the park opened

Are you still working on the costume? I’m excited for it
3:50 I heard the same music from Barney Live! at Radio City Music Hall in New York City!
CAN YOU UPLOAD THE MUSIC OF BARNEY LIVE AT RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL IN NYCPLEASE
I like this show, but it's gone and too old. The bell was amazing, too!! I like the bell. It makes a ringing noise!!
We want the full version
of Barney’s Sing Along Show
in Philadelphia Area
What happened to the original costume that was seen in commercials and promotional material? It would have been cool to see that ♥️
Before toy story hits theaters on November 22
I really miss seen barney
I miss it

Kid narrator: John David Bennett II
He plays Shawn
I never been it before
HEY U DO HAVE BARNEYS BIG SURPRISE YETS
Andrew, can you please upload this without a watermark?
I need to use it for my other videos.
Wish we could see the Boston and Philadelphia shows and the full grand opening of the attraction
And the 1995 Atlanta Independence Day Parade
I actually went to see Barney in Boston back in June of 1995. I never knew that there was so many people there.
But unfortunately, my mother and my godmother didn't have a video camera at the time...
In 1995 Josh Martin portrayed Barney in this attraction.
I thought it was Carey Stinson or Josh Martin or someone who?
Nice find! This was the whole tape right here?
How Did u Get This Anyway and was this even a real vhs
Bonnie land opened that year and it closed 2022 for a new theme park theme
