I can only just remember Mainsforth, I have some more images of Mainsforth for my next mining video which I shall do in the dark evenings. Whitworth Colliery was on my door step and we had some fun days in the early to mid seventies, messing about in the area, Dean & Chapter, Kelloe & Blackhall Colliery are very vivid in y mind too, have you checked out Ferryhill Archives website? as there maybe more on there relating to Mainsforth.
