Because, they're cowards. Why do cowards go to Hell? Because, by nature, they're evil. That makes them susceptible to other evils, as well. An overwhelming need for self preservation... And that gives measure by Romans, 2Tim, and Galatians, being fundamentally selfish and self-centered.
@@revo1974 I don't understand...of course not, or it never would have happened. The Catholics and Calvinists (I think) were killing people, but Martin Luther, a Catholic devout, pointed out the mistakes and nearly died for it. Those killers were cowards, knowing that the reformers were correct in placing Jesus Christ above the Pope of Rome, yet siding with Rome over Christ. My history isn't as solid as I prefer, but I believe that's the jist of the era.
@@whtstr2133 You did not mention whether a reason for leaving ones church is justified or not. You simply stated that they were cowards for doing so. So why are these people cowards, but those who broke away from the RCC not? It’s clear to me that all religion is man-made. That’s why there have been so many them throughout history. If the RCC got it so wrong, then that’s an inditenent on Yahweh as it shows clear incompetence to properly spread a message. Still to this day the largest Christian church is the RCC. And there are thousands of Christian denominations. It’s a huge mess that indicates it’s all man-made and can’t be the design of an omniscient entity.
@@revo1974 Ah, I see. This goes for all churches. You cannot follow a preacher, minister, or pastor... period. They are men, and cannot help you. However, it is said "Do not forsake the gathering together of yourselves as is the manner of some..." so we are to gather. Not in a building, but in family. There is only one God, one Jesus, one Holy Spirit, and only one message. Any denomination is incorrect, but has the building blocks for the correct way. Mormons minister the best, love like no other, and are unfortunately heretics. Baptists hate conflict, and reject the Methodist and Lutheran... There's only one way, and we ALL know this. Opinion doesn't matter. Point of view doesn't matter. Reaction doesn't matter. And yet... So, leave heretic church ASAP. Men can't save. However, search out chances to minister the gospel, and gather your holy family...any time you can. God will guide your every step (I tested and verify), so listen to the Holy Spirit and do as he says, as it never conflicts with scripture. My church consists of three people who barely listen, no building, no books, and no tangent attachment (the church only exists in my head, at the moment). However, when they visit, they know a ministry is coming, but is done so with love and compassion they Can't find Anywhere else. This isn't what I thought when God said that I would minister to preachers. But, you know what,...I'm not in charge...and I'm okay with that. I don't know what is to happen, but I know Boss-man knows. He knows it all. Just ask Him, He's right there with you now. I'm all in. You?
I live in Canada where some of the harshest lockdowns were going on. The best thing that ever happened to my wife and children, we left our church that left us staring at a screen for a year. We found a group of believers that ignored all mandates and gathered, we have experienced the power of God, unbelievable testimonies and conversions to Christ. In my thirty years as a Christian I have never witnessed this many coming to faith in Christ, many that had no exposure to Christianity. I have no words other than Awe.
Throughout this last two years, there have been many that have been exposed. We now see a lot of wolves that we thought were sheep. In all things be thankful, because it is working to God’s glory and our good. God bless you!
I live in (BC) where a plethora of churches shutdown. Our little reformed Baptist church never did as a few others. Some faced heavy consequences (fines). The result of our not closing was doubling our attendance and membership. Our little sanctuary is jammed every sunday morning and evening. C-19 lockdowns was a blessing.

When I hear there testimonies it makes me love God more fervently than I ever have. The Kingdom of God is forcefully advancing in Canada despite government interference with the church.
Someone refusing to go to a place isn't cancel culture. Cancel culture is when you try to get a place shut down from existence so no one can go there. That's a major difference. People have a right to choose where they want to go and a right to choose to leave it and never return. They just can't make your choice for you.
Nothing wrong with cancel culture, the issue is it is always bad people utilizing it to hurt good people. Good people should adopt similar tactics to actually fight back against terrible people.
@@brigadierharsh1948 When did Jesus ever used the tactic of cancel culture? He didn't cancel the hookers, pharisees or tax collectors... remember: God judges fair with all-knowing knowledge. Cancel culture judges before a fair 'trial', before someone can defend himself. Cancel culture judges with a giant tree in their own eye.
Good is subjective. Just because you believe someone is good doesn’t mean God views them the same way. Who gave you authority to determine who’s good or bad? Your judgement lacks authority in this particular issue. Even Jesus refused to be referred to as GOOD! (MARK 10:18) The Bible is a BOOK, it has to be effectively read to be understood.
I am African from Ghana 🇬🇭 🔥 and I love Pastor Doug Wilson. May God continue to preserve you and may he continue to strengthen you to proclaim the unwavering truth of the word of God at all times. Much love!
@flavat98.... How many times much Pastor Doug Wilson explain himself? But you prefer to malign and slander him. If you are an unbeliever, go elsewhere to troll. If you are a christian then repent. You can check his series with Dr James White on this allegation. You are definitely wrong about Pastor Doug Wilson and what he stands for.
Wow. Unbelievable. Never sit under the authority of a man who not only refuses to take responsibility for his actions, but blames you for everything that went wrong.
As a former SBC pastor, I am ashamed of the cowardice displayed by most pastors in our country over the last 3 years. Praise God for you and John McArthur.
I don’t think MacArthur is the example of Christ-like behavior. A lot of theology, not so much when it comes to imitating Christ. Doug on the other hand is a much better example of the work of the Spirit and is always a breath of fresh air, even if I disagree with some things.
Amen. I didnt choose to stop attending in 2020. The pastors kicked me out. And when they, on instruction from the state, invited me back with state-sanctioned restrictions... I said no thanks. These pastors reaped what they sowed.

@@duncescotus2342 The Church has become a hollow shell often just used to voice social, political, and environmental causes. Whether or not these are worthy causes is not the issue. It's that the church doesn't stand for anything with any steadfast adherence that there's no reason for anyone to want to join the Church.
Those people leaving a church aren't "cancel culture." They aren't trying to destroy the pastor or shut down his ability to speak. Not a fair comparison.
Yep. last month I returned to a church I had attended a bit about five years ago. It was originally reformed, one of about eight in its group (Redemption in AZ). On the first day back, the worship leader wanted us to repent for supporting systems that oppress people. WHAT? Then I attended another church in the group and saw them promoting The Gospel Coalition for their youth program. So that was another strike. TGC is corrupt. And the third strike was my son's experience in the membership class being told that Christians should suffer with people of other races. Progressivism is a cancer.
Yikes! We left a Redemption in AZ because one of the pastors said that he got the vaccine, it’s no big deal, no one is out to get you… all while my husband is loosing his job of 17 years because he wouldn’t get the jab. That’s not the only reason… but it was the last straw for us
I had a kidney and a gallbladder removed in emergency surgery fall of 2020. My small church’s elders didn’t call until they were ‘concerned’ with social media posts I made that supported the Republican candidate and questioned voter interference. It was devastating. We did life and served faithfully our faith family. We left with a public excuse, but our private heartbreak. There was nothing we could say that would be heard.
@@DM-dk7js that would be missing the point. Whether you agree with her position on that issue or not, can you see why the church reaching out to her only when she brought up that issue, but not before, is a problem?
@@DM-dk7js But they are not lies. We can quibble about the extent to which it affected the outcome - but the fraud was there. I guarantee that if it was your ox being gored, the same evidence would at least make you pause and agree that an independent investigation is worthwhile.
My family left our church because they bent over and were more “concerned” (notice the quotes) about the physical health of their members rather than their spiritual health. We started a home church with several families instead. We have all grown tremendously. As Doug said previously, humming A Mighty Fortress is our God through their mask. Nope. We’re done. Thanks for sharing.
That is so great..I believe there will be alot more Home Churches..That's what the first century church did..This is so great to hear...Sure is so much better than sitting under someone who is not preaching God's word..Praying for your Home Church..
Before getting engaged to someone who attends a church in another county, I was part of a very small one that my father pastors. It is so small, that if someone is not there on a Sunday, it is very, very noticeable. People in the last year moved on for various reasons that I probably wouldn't 100% agree with (not political actually) and it's doubtful my father does too, but he would never, ever, present a sermon accusing them like this, even though it really stung the remaining church body when they were gone. In this clip, the man sounds so personally wounded and whiny, it's rather sickening.
I can see how it can feel for a pastor if Christians leave their church for another. But to me all churches (which teach Jesus) are part of Christs body. So the problem is more so an geographical/organisational one and not a theological one. Unless people actually leave for theological reasons and then you need to repent and change.
I refused to wear a mask and my church kicked me and my family out. Also, resulting in my children being kicked out of the only school they knew for 10 years.
I was just talking with a pastor today who said that mask requirements don’t bar anyone from worship. The absolute inability to understand a belief different from their own is staggering.
The last line pretty much nailed for me. "Maybe they left because they found out their pastor thought they were off the synagogue of Satan". For me sitting there in church (during the BLM stuff) being told I need to be apologetic for my skin color was unacceptable. I have a lot in my life to fit which I'm repentant but that's not one of them. That movement and much of the nation re-enforcing lies is why we are still watching a war on law enforcement. Also why people feel free to walk in stores and take whatever they want because during the BLM riots they were told it's perfectly fine. The whole movement is satanic and that's clear because it's based on lies. It's not just white people that know this to be true.
Let’s not forget that the ‘defund the police’ idea that blm supported and promotes constantly has only ended up with many more black people dead(at the hands of other black people). Cops have pulled back and are afraid to engage .

I could actually cry at this. For two years my family and I have been ignored by our church whilst they went back masked up, no communion, socially distanced, no singing. And called it ‘Church’. It has seriously affected my spiritual life. I’m not the man I was. This gave me some strength in knowing that someone at least appreciates some of the reasons we were cut off. I often cried out the plea, “is there any word from the Lord.” I couldn’t hear the church being hope and life to the world, let alone to our family. Devastating.

Glad for your candor. He is honestly one of the few long time very influencial pastors and Christian thinkers who is incredibly humble, direct, and insanely helpful. I used to love Mohler, and Keller, a and Moore, and Platt among others. They are all now bankrupt by their own doing. I urge you to look at Doug still more. And if you find issues, ask yourself where the issue really is within the scriptures if it's there at all.
If one wishes to see/hear what Doug Wilson is really about…make your way, if possible, to Moscow, Idaho on a Sunday morning…Doug is PRIMARILY a pastor of a local church…his social commentary, even though it is what he is becoming known for, is far out shadowed by his pastoral ministry at Christchurch Moscow…you will be hard pressed to find a more Godly, vibrant, wholesome and winsome worship service anywhere…

ABSOLUTELY! "...many of the sheep wanted instruction grounded in the Word of God...." I searched high and low looking for that in early 2020. Thank God my little country church knew enough to blow off the supposed safety mandates, but sorting through the lies and subterfuge was daunting.
It still is. We are being bombarded every single day with lies and deception about all kinds of things. Discernment is our most important attribute right now. This is the reason Jesus told his Disciples in Matthew 24 right up front "Take heed that you are not deceived" before he gave any further prophecy about the end of the Church Age and the Seven Year Tribulation.
You nailed that one. As it is written, what the gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to devils and I would not have you to fellowship with devils. We cannot eat from the table of the Lord and the table of devils. Cannot drink from the Lord's cup and the cup of devils. Satan appears as a messenger of light and his ministers disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness just like the scriptures say. Come out of her my people. Flee Babylon, flee fornication. Come out from among them and be ye separate, touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you. I will be a Father unto you and you will be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord.

Dead on. Left our long time big Eva church 2 years ago. The peace I have a husband and Dad in our small, bible teaching, authentic Christian congregation now is such a blessing. Our old church went from Neo Calvinist to SJW unraveled and is a shell of itself. The purge is real.
We're leaving because of the tickling ears syndrome, the world being allowed into the church, and the majority of them becoming nothing more than community clubhouses with membership roles of individuals who have no desire to be crucified with the Lord, who have no convictions, believe in an "easy grace," are swayed by the circumstances that surround them, are fearful of the possible consequences that may befall them if they stand for the Lord, and will no more speak His name in public than they would honor Him in their lives by living Phil. 1:21. And that's only part of why we're leaving.
This makes me even more thankful for my tiny traditional Anglican parish that stayed open the whole time, had no mandatory masking, and continued to have communion (even if somewhat creatively very early on).
So many great points Pastor Doug! We were waiting in anticipation for our pastors to help us navigate all of the craziness of 2020-2021 and they never said a word unless they were saying that vaccines are no big deal, no one is out to get you (that’s a lie) All while my husband was loosing his job of 17 years for not getting the jab. And our church came out saying right off that Ahmed Arbery was a hate crime and that we all need to check our privilege. We didn’t even have all the details yet… I don’t disagree that it was wrong for him to be killed but I don’t understand why they needed to rush and put out a video response. They scolded us because Christian’s used the name of Jesus to promote violence in the January 6th insurrection. The issue is that they are silent until they want to virtue signal.
No Christians used the name of Jesus to promote violence in the January 6th protest. It wasn't an insurrection. Not one Trump supporter brought a gun to the protest. Not one Christian or pastor took a gun to the protest. They met at the Washington Monument to pray for our nation and listen to President Trump's speech. Never once did Trump tell people to go to the Capitol building to break in. He asked them to peacefully go and protest and let their voices be heard. The protest at the Capitol building started BEFORE Trump finished his speech to the Christian crowd at the Washington Monument. To march from the Monument to the Capitol building takes about 30 minutes. The Christian Trump supporters arrived to the Capitol building right about the time the protesters began to walk into the building. It has already been revealed that those protestors that walked into the Capitol building on J6 were infiltrated FBI instigators who wanted to impersonate actual Trump supporters to create the narrative that Trump supporters were violent "insurrectionists". Look up the name Ray Epps...that will tell you everything you need to know.

Wow. Churches should never have gone along with anything once it was clear we were lied to. They should have warned about the dangers of the shots. Some pastors went right out and got the shots. Didn’t want to miss their trips and speaking opportunities. My 12 year old neighbor had a heart attack.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s the church’s job to tell you how to think. It was up to you to figure out with all the information out there. Church is about learning about God and Christ. I can understand the church talking about these issues after the sermon but the sermon should not be the place for pastors to talk about their political views. It should have been through the church’s actions like not forcing people how to think or making them wear masks that would have shown enough.
When the “church” goes woke they go broke. It may work out well for the world but it’s doomed to fail in the body of Christ. Whenever I hear of a ministry suffering due to wokeism I feel like celebrating. They abandoned us during this most difficult season and it’s difficult for me not to be bitter.
If I have come to have extreme distrust of my pastor's judgment based on all the positions he has held, should he really want me there? Or, would it be reasonable for me to find a church where I can actually respect the leadership? (which I have, and the pastor agrees with Wilson on everything but baptism).
We thought we had found a solid, conservative church; not an easy task in Connecticut. Then, Floyd and Covid happened. The political views of the congregation that previously had been left outside were revealed. We ended up feeling like strangers in our own church and stopped attending (which was of no apparent concern to the leadership) and could not find a church within 50 miles that held meetings indoors, in person, sans masks. As covid wore on and vaccine mandates loomed, we began looking at real estate in a free state. We realized that not only our church, but also our neighbors, state government, schools and fellow voters would be happy to demonize, exclude and disenfranchise us if we resisted the political trend of the day. It was an anxious realization and we are not so naive to think that it would end with covid. We sold our home and bought another in Tennessee, I quit my job and we moved. It's been a tough, two year odyssey, but after two months in our new state, we've found a great church, lower taxes ($800/month lower), thriving local business and fellow voters who respect our autonomy... We feel at home here and we're not looking back.
Good luck...im still here in jersey...looking to relocate myself. While Christ is our first priority, living in a free society as Americans is a very close second.
@@samstan4462 I also have an additional and longer range motivation which is to help consolidate conservative values in a red state. I have had no effect on the leftward drift of those states. Now I can see, in the wake of Covid, that red states can have a effect on an over reaching federal government. I think that the mass relocation of conservatives to red states will strengthen that effect. When government was able to close businesses and especially churches, I knew it was time to act. I am so glad this is being addressed. Many of us were so very disappointed in pastors everywhere who failed to be leaders. They should believe in what scripture says. God has not given us a spirit of fear. God has given us an ordained number of days on earth, when He calls us home, we will go one way or the other. I admire John MacArthur and a handful of other pastors who actually knew the science and knew the statistics and kept their churches going at a time Christians needed each other more than ever. You are right, many pastors were exposed for lack of faith in God's word and will. Thus, many left to find real fellowship and leadership and to heard God's word preached.
Most preachers are content with reading passages from the bible and interpreting them. Most people can do that at home. Being out of touch with realities of the world and hesitation to relate current affairs with the bible leaves parishioners disconnected and eventual apathy.

We are traditionally Lutherans, went to the same church for years. Our pastor joined a religious political action group in our area made up of different faiths. Soon after his sermons started to become very political and left leaning. In one sermon he compared Eric Snowden to Jesus. In another service he had the congregation pray for people killed by “police violence”. My wife spoke up and requested an additional prayer for first responders. We left the church and haven’t been back.
Too many pastors caved when the heavy hand of government swept through..Many were afraid to actually take a stand against Godless, tyranical Overlords.......it's that simple....This host is spot on..
Excellent discernment as always, Pastor Doug. I truly believe that you are one of the great preachers/theologians of our time and like all of the others who have come before you, undervalued during your lifetime!
Also, there was recently an article about the government cozying up with evangelical leaders to close the doors, push the clot shot, and shame Believers. I can't seem to find it now but it happened for sure.
I haven't heard the term "clot shot" but I will have to use that one. I have been calling it the "Trump Vaccine" to my leftist friends who are pushing the vaccine but hate to admit that it is only available because of Trump.
Maybe they because the Pastor finally revealed HIS politics! For him to call these people “of the synagogue of Satan” reveals perhaps more of his heart, and the contempt he actually held for conservative Christians in the church…
I watched this video when it was released. I was also there in the seminary chapel when he preached (it was my first semester). For some reason a lot of fellow students like JD, but I can clearly see that he's let the culture impact his view of ministry and God way too much. Much love everyone ❤️
A lot of pastors could use this message! If someone is so committed to your church and they are willing to leave because of said issue then you really need to look at yourself, ask some hard questions, and repent.
Great insight. I pastor a small SBC church that endured the lockdowns. We did not close the church. We ignored the demand to limit attendance to 10 persons. We told the folks to use common sense in their health. If they were sick, feeling sick or uncomfortable to stay home and watch. Our giving was not impacted. My beliefs are based on scripture (which some would call conservative). Unfortunately, many pulpits are filled with unbiblical men (and women who are not qualified) who bend which ever way the cultural winds are blowing.
I attend Southeastern, and I was there in person. I didn’t even know he was preaching that day, but that sermon was abysmal. I’m glad you’re doing a response to it, Mr. Wilson

Months later, they had a zoom service that consisted of the white pastor sitting with 3 black people and asking how they feel harmed. Then the church, as an organization, went downtown and marched with BLM, but still, no service. I started listening to the 'Real Christianity' podcast by Dale Partridge, and figured out the difference between a biblical church and a non-biblical church. We found a healthy, biblical church in August 2020 that had open doors and never asked us to put on masks. I think this has been a great awakening and it's a positive thing that the sheep are seeking healthier pastures. This pastor calling it 'cancelling church' shows how oblivious he is to what's actually happening.
2020 began my own personal awakening to what is going on in the “church”. Started with discovering the false doctrine of tithing, and went on from there. Studying the word for myself with the guidance of the Holy Spirit brought so much clarity to many falsehoods being taught. I hope and pray many others have the same unction from the Holy Spirit to check these things out that are being taught from the stages, just like the Bereans did. You’ll find a lot of what is contained in “sermons” by mega churches (or those trying to be like them) is a bunch of nonsense and lies from the twisting of scripture and from a lack of understanding.
Hi Kenneth, I'm curious why you call tithing a "false doctrine." What exactly do you mean by that? If tithing isn't biblical, then what is the correct response when the pastor says that we ought to be giving to the church?
@@michaelberry1746 it’s scripturally proven that tithing was old covenant, established by God, for ISRAEL ONLY, and was done away with when the new covenant was put into place. Deuteronomy 14 has the requirements for the tithe for Israel, Malachi is a book that God speaks directly to Israel (including the Levitical priests in chapter 3) letting them know how upset he was for them not following his command to THEM. The book of Hebrews chapters 7 & 8 speaks of the old covenant trying to make people perfect by law, but it couldn’t accomplish that. That was mosaic covenant. The only standard that can even be used towards the idea of “giving” is in 2 Corinthians 9 to give cheerfully and not under compulsion or coercion. And then Gods grace will abound to you and you will have sufficiency. While this was Paul speaking to the church of Corinth (or the Christian’s in Jerusalem from what my study Bible says), it can be applied today as the structure in which to give. And here’s the kicker like it was also in Malachi; it wasn’t about money. In 2 Corinthians, it was a mixture of money and other gifts, in Malachi it was food and/or consumable items, hence the use of the phrasing “that there may be FOOD in my house”. Lastly, God is no idiot. He used the Holy Spirit through messengers to speak exactly what He intended to speak. If he wanted Christian’s to still be under the old mosaic covenant law of tithing, He could’ve may that crystal clear so there would be NO confusion on this matter. However, He didn’t do so, and left us many MANY places in His inerrant Word to prove that this is indeed a false doctrine, twisted by the greedy to manipulate people into emptying their wallets. You WILL NOT with 100% efficacy be able to tithe and have the “windows of Heaven” dump endless money or possessions on you that you’ll have to “give it all away” or that you won’t be able to contain it. It doesn’t work that way, and never has for anyone outside of the nation of Israel. Anyone who says it does IS a liar. In closing, tithing IS a false doctrine for Christian people to follow today, it was only meant for Israel, and even for them, is not in place today. Even if God promises extra things for giving, the right thing to do is to not expect anything in return. The right thing is to bless those with no promise of return. Jesus did that, gave His life and knew we could not do anything to repay Him. God bless, and to Him be all glory, honor and praise.
Canon Press and Uncle Douglas, thank you for these response videos. They have been so helpful to understand what I'm taking in. You guys are diligent in fresh content, and I thank you for the relevance of it.
I'm sure the government's strangle hold over the church due to them granting or denying tax exempt status has much to do with a church's decision making process, unfortunately.
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit, ON THE CONTRARY, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, AS ONE SENT FROM GOD. 2 Cor 2:17 From the least unto the greatest, ALL are greedy for gain, prophets and priests alike, ALL practice deceit. Jer 6:13 Come out of her my people!!!!
This pastor needs to look at Andrew Wommack's church in Colorado Springs. The dude had shutdown threats, judge orders, arrest threats and just kept on ministering. Lots of respect for him. Never been to his church, but appreciate the pastors who politely said "No".
When the church is in step with the state, there should be deep concern. This especially important when there is dissenting science. IMO, the church's response to Covid was shortsighted, emotion based and will have long term spiritual consequences. What will the church's response be with the next "pandemic" or other global crisis. Whose kingdom will be served? Where is Detrich Bonhoeffer of today?
There’s no way to ignore how the Gospel, God’s law, God’s definition and content of the word “justice” should be informing our politics. It is a one way street from God’s revealed word and Will to our policy preferences, not the other way around. This means you cannot remain politically neutral about many things AND that your policy preferences have to be judged against scripture.
We left our church when the pastor started equating all our woes on Trump supporters showing KKK videos and pushing JWS. When confronted he would ask “what Gospel “ principals are we violating? I through my hands up at that point🤷🏼♂️. Just moved on.
Seems a lot like Greear is willfully ignoring the actual argument against his behavior. That's a lot like bearing false witness - from the pulpit. Very serious. As serious as it gets.
Hilarious. My family and I attended a Methodist church. Baptized all 3 kids there. I heard a lot a agreed w some I didn't but by in large we were fine. Then 2020. And first they closed the church for 5 months and encouraged us to stay home online. While other churches stayed open or reopened quickly. While big box stores never closed. Eventually they reopened but it was masks and temperature checks. And because they encouraged people to stay home when we went back it was just my family. Not in the realm of fellowship in a church that used to be filled. They held Christmas Eve service outside in Ohio in the winter. Again by that time schools were reopened and restaurants too. To feel some sense of normalcy we attended an evangelical church. When ohio dropped the mask mandate the evangelical church dropped their own. The Methodist church continues to mask up until now. They recently said they will be mask optional for everything except you guessed it worship. The pastor rails on about the vax and it being the only way he will want to unmask the church. In closing we didn't leave the church it left us it's way more than a disagreement over gun control, the president or BLM. The church we used to attend decided to worship a virus and give meaning to its existence in the response to it in every way letting it guide them not the Gospel. I asked my kids how they felt if we stayed at the new church and the 2 youngest 9 and 7 said they dont remember the old church and my oldest likes the new one now. Me I feel bad about it but it's me holding onto something no longer there it took the innocence of my kids to realize it was me holding onto the past. That's the story I bet for a lot of people not George Floyd.
The Methodists are just one of many denominations and sects of mystery Babylon. Leave the whole whore of Babylon altogether and don't seek to be in bondage to any man and you will be much more obedient to God than committing fornication with any of the harlot houses of mystery Babylon. Come out of her, my people. There is ONE Good Shepherd, Christ IN us. Pray for His Spirit to come and guide you. If He answers that prayer, you won't step into another harlot house again. This is the narrow path.
I left because the church would strongly speak on abortion (which is good) but when it came to their congregation's huge concern over losing their jobs for refusing to be forced to take an experimental drug and people wearing silly cloth on their face for a false idea of protection (which does more harm than good), the pastor did not want to "get political". The leadership had no problem qualifying submission for the wife to the husband but had no room for that type of discussion when it came to submission to government.

@@whtstr2133 Was the protestant reformation born from cowardice?
@@revo1974 I don't understand...of course not, or it never would have happened. The Catholics and Calvinists (I think) were killing people, but Martin Luther, a Catholic devout, pointed out the mistakes and nearly died for it.
Those killers were cowards, knowing that the reformers were correct in placing Jesus Christ above the Pope of Rome, yet siding with Rome over Christ.

Good is subjective. Just because you believe someone is good doesn’t mean God views them the same way. Who gave you authority to determine who’s good or bad? Your judgement lacks authority in this particular issue. Even Jesus refused to be referred to as GOOD! (MARK 10:18)

Yep. last month I returned to a church I had attended a bit about five years ago.

Agree. So immature and inappropriate.
I can see how it can feel for a pastor if Christians leave their church for another. But to me all churches (which teach Jesus) are part of Christs body. So the problem is more so an geographical/organisational one and not a theological one. Unless people actually leave for theological reasons and then you need to repent and change.

"...many of the sheep wanted instruction grounded in the Word of God...."
I searched high and low looking for that in early 2020.

9:50 There’s a third possible reason they could have left: they discovered they were IN a synagogue of Satan.
That was my immediate first thought.
I really appreciate your takes. To be able to put into words that aching gut feeling of being lied to, and articulate exactly the thought process that makes this guy condemn his own church, is so beautiful. Keep pushing out great content
Yes! I especially agree about the 1 hour a week. I remember when I took Sunday School, Sunday worship, Sunday evenings, Wednesday nights and other events. Now I pray to find a doctrinally sound church in driving distance thay offers these.

I ask for prayer for my health, brothers! I have symptoms of covid and, God willing, I will soon be healthy again. Nice work, Doug! Thanks for that content.
Aaand you nailed it once again, sir! Thank you for faithfully speaking truth.
The last time I went to church, the priest was talking about the Colombian President and how he’s fighting for social justice. That was last September

Vaccines aren’t a big deal. Mandating them when they aren’t effective is a big deal. People have gone crazy on both sides. From the very beginning the government has had the authority to mandate back, quarantines etc. study George Washington. The mask is in effective. It is not canceling your face. Extremists on both sides are destroying society.
Shouldn't we go to pastors for spiritual health and and a actual medical professional for medical care?
@@chrispfeifer7628 James 5:14 How do you do this if the "church" is closed?
Which medical professionals are you referring to? They do differ in their medical opinions.
After the first 2 weeks “to slow the spread” I did not want a church that had more fear of flu then fear of God. I realized who numbers my days and I wanted to be with believers who believed the same. I started going with a church that held service on the street for homeless and continued through the whole thing as usual. I went to another church that stayed open and celebrated Christmas as usual. I know there are Christians around the world that meet together regularly underground at the risk of their lives that is faith. I had home fellowship and Bible study with Christians that felt the same way. From the beginning I felt I was being manipulated and the nature of it was from my enemy. God bless all of you and my heart weeps for all who forget who we are and who we serve. Prayers for all. PS even if this was the plague they predicted that means that every minute was precious to witness who we serve and worship. We are being sifted I am not happy with what I saw I am broken hearted. Prayers for everyone!!
Thankful for my church, doing exactly what he's talking about - feeding the sheep, addressing the issues, love the people
YES! I had the same question about why people are glued to their tv three hours a night. At some level, that’s the result of the 1 hour a week discipleship from the megachurch. That’s what 10 years of church membership has produced in those peoples lives…. My life changed when we had expositional preaching multiple times a week
I really hate it when people say they are canceled not because someone stopped them from speaking, but because people stopped listening to them.
He says we conservatives won't let go of our idols, but everything he's said reveals his own.
Exactly!
We usually are blinder to the big logs in our own eye when we’re puffed up like JD was/is.
Rachael Explain to me how Doug is an idolater ,do not conservatives idolize politics and right wing leaders !
@@Mediterraneangun not Wilson; Greear.
And yes, conservatives absolutely can idolize politics, but what Greear is describing HERE seems to be people leaving his church because they don't worship HIS political idols.
The idols people need to let go of is their hireling "pastors". They been to cry out for God's Spirit to guide them and not some huckster who preaches for profit. What we are going through is extremely difficult but a silver lining is that people are starting to see that these ministers of Satan are just imposters. His sheep hear His voice and a stranger they will flee from. They do not follow strangers and hirelings who preach for profit in temples made with hands.
Wow. Churches should never have gone along with anything once it was clear we were lied to. They should have warned about the dangers of the shots. Some pastors went right out and got the shots. Didn’t want to miss their trips and speaking opportunities. My 12 year old neighbor had a heart attack.
What danger of the shots lol? How were you lied to?
Everyone was lied to friend. Accepting the truth is important.

"Alot of people canceled their church, because their church tried to cancel their face....." ☠️☠️that'll preach!!💯
You've long heard of how a conservative voice is lost in a blue state and it's absolutely true. My vote never mattered in MA or CT where I've spent my life. I hope to help my new home state to resist such measures by standing up to the fed. according to the 10th amendment right.
@@Countercommie sounds good. Also a group is organizing an article 5 national convention of states. Many legislatures have signed on. A very useful tool to keep the 10th amendment strong...check it out.
JD Grier “I am a victim of judgmental Christians!”

I am of the mind that if a church isn't open 24/7 for instruction, for direction, and on that seventh day to worship and pray, to bring our offerings to God, it's not a church, it's a tomb.
This reminds us how important the subject of theology is.
This is one of the best reactions I’ve seen.
Ah… There’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on… separating the sheep from the goats! Glorious!
Yep
The harlot church is the clowns entertaining the goats.
"...have no room on your right." Amen - just classic.
Yes, that is the question, "Why are we only teaching the people only 1 hour a week?" You can't replace something with nothing. 🙂✌️❤️
Ironically, the less time spent in places like JD Greear's "church" the better.
Most preachers are content with reading passages from the bible and interpreting them. Most people can do that at home. Being out of touch with realities of the world and hesitation to relate current affairs with the bible leaves parishioners disconnected and eventual apathy.
I left summit Church because they literallu canceled church for a year. And when they did live streams, there was an inside group that got to gather and broadcast the live streams to we common people at home.
These are great videos. The problem with those like JDG is that they can bloviate and obfuscate from their single voice platform without immediate critique.
JD’s primary identity is political.
Talk about projection. Floors me every time I hear him say this. 😑
Yes, WE'RE too political.

Great wisdom from Doug Wilson, as usual, thank you.

Man are you correct about this…..my people perish for lack of knowledge
Wilson
This is a clip from a sermon? Huh. Seems more like a “why are we shrinking” talk in Sunday school.
This was at Southeastern in Lakeland?

I found Christ in October 2019. On Easter 2020, I was scheduled to be Baptized at the giant, 6-service a week, motivational speaker evangelical church we used to go to. They wouldn't baptize me.
Excellent. Thank you, Doug Wilson, for your honest insights.

Yes, a vacuum was left from church leaders who didn’t provide biblical guidance on current events.
2 Cor 2:17
From the least unto the greatest, ALL are greedy for gain, prophets and priests alike, ALL practice deceit.

Thank you. Our Pastor abandoned us and was blind for sure. Didnt understand our perspective at all and we tried to talk to him and other Elders.
It’s too bad he didn’t talk about the SBC churches that started promoting their own flavor of CRT.
#AlwaysHopeful87
Remember O'Sullivan's 1st law "All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing."
Seems like these churches will willingly "take the mark," because the state tells them to!
He doesn't realize how he has continually slide to the 'left' in a feeble attempt to fill his pews He has received his reward
We left our church when the pastor started equating all our woes on Trump supporters showing KKK videos and pushing JWS. When confronted he would ask “what Gospel “ principals are we violating? I through my hands up at that point🤷🏼♂️. Just moved on.

That's the story I bet for a lot of people not George Floyd.
good for your kids, I think ya'll made the right decision.
I think J.D. is mad mostly not because believers left his church , but because they took their tithes with them .
