Makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy that in her 70's she's still going strong but sad that we all got so damn old. They're not lying when they say that time flies.
To me the past 20 years was like yesterday. The 90s was like last week and the 80s was last month. The 70s, I admit, feels more distant - like a year ago.
Yes time has flown by, I saw her live in Las Vegas in early 2000's? I can remember she was pissed with the sound man (ear monitors too loud), but she carried on with a great show.
I saw the Pretenders at the Paradise Rock Club 44 years ago just down the road from the Music Hall. Threw a Red Sox hat on stage and Chrissie put it on. Always wondered where it ended up. True to her craft for over 45 years and looking/sounding great.
So many great shows in the late 70’s early 80s at The Paradise……Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Peter Gabriel, X, David Johansson…..I missed Chrissie and the Pretenders but did see them in ‘82 at The Orpheum…..original band still…….probably the loudest show I ever attended………thanks for reminding me how great a venue The Paradise was…..peace
Good old Martin Chambers still there on drums he used to get in The Barrels in Hereford and put Niel Young on the Jukebox just mixed in with the regulars all the best 👍🎸
Chrissy Hynde - maybe wrong spelling? - looks really good. She must be getting up,there in years but she looks like she’s 40 or 50 tops really. But great band of course.
Yes! First time through the chorus she plays A / D instead of Em / A. Afterwards you notice a confused look. Second time through she remembers and gives a wry smile.
I gotta disagree, I'm a musician and I'm very critical, and I gotta say, I think she sounds pretty good. A lot of bands suck live when they're only in their twenties, this is a nice live performance for any age. @@TeleTonemonkey
Her voice is still great.
She looks gorgeous and still plays brilliantly with her great band...
What a voice - full of emotion like only she can bring it.

yup
As Tom Petty once said, if you’re not getting older, you’re dead.
And he would know, unfortunately 😢

I went to a show at Fox Theater Atlanta in ‘86. No ticket. Bought 2 outside at face value $12, fourth row. They’re amazing… through the years ❤
She’s still got it… voice and stage presence 👍🏽👍🏽
She sounded amazing! What a great show.

she still has it!
From MTV when they first started. Great tune!
Still one of the best bands from the 80s and no one comes close to duplicating Crissy.
. . . proving once again - there is a 'real thing' !
I can’t imagine playing a song as many times as she has played this song. It must seem as exciting as vacuuming.
Great performance -- thanks!
Nice boots!
Quality - thanks
One of the all time greats. Pretenders rule.
Love it.
Chrissie Hynde is a rock legend.
Wow! You were right below the stage. Chrissy was amazing that night! Great video!
Pretenders should tour with the Moody Blues, septuagenarians that can still rock!
Christie, thanks for all the great music
That’s Chrissie, not Christie, big fan are you?
BRAVO!!!
A great rocker.
This woman is the real thing. Looking and sounding great. So many frauds, this is the real thing.
I was there- she's badass as ever and sounds the same as she did in '80.
Thank you!
They sound great! Great video too!
Her voice sounds great!
She looks great too...I got goosebumps!
Chrissie Rocks!
my man on bass with a T-40
He gets to work, and work out, at the same time!
Still got it - in spades.
She’s a musical marvel. Where’s Martin Chambers? James Walbourne is a fine guitarist.
In 2064 this will be Taylor Swift singing to her fans -
They were so well known for about 10 years? Then they were gone except for those of us who
Still got it!
They still sound as good as ever! Would have been nice to see the guitar solos though.
Good old Martin Chambers still there on drums he used to get in The Barrels in Hereford and put Niel Young on the Jukebox just mixed in with the regulars all the best 👍🎸
I love Martin, but that doesn’t look (or sound) like him behind the kit. Is he on this tour?
@@matthew4694unfortunately, Martin was not on drums that night. I’m not sure if he’s playing at all on this tour?
I apologize folks got it wrong !
Marty is retired
Is that Martin Chambers on the drums? Seeing them tonight here in Phoenix.

Hello...again. its been awhile❤❤❤
Great to see she has kept her singing voice unlike McCartney an Rod Stewart who should have retired years ago.
Were is the original drummer
She still sounds good. That being said Paul,Mick, Bon Jovi, The Who please retire
where's Martin Chambers?
@@hihats good question! I was disappointed he wasn’t playing at least at this show
Did she forget the chords in the first few turnarounds? It’s only been 50 years
she did. you can see her having a word with herself about it but then she shakes it off like a true pro. happens to the best.
Yes! First time through the chorus she plays A / D instead of Em / A. Afterwards you notice a confused look. Second time through she remembers and gives a wry smile.
The curse of being human...
Who’s the drummer?
rock and pop granny
She forgot how to play the chorus.
Chrissie Hynde, but not the Pretenders.
She’s not even playing. Air guitar. Lip sync.
wrong
she has the same problem as a lot of aging vocalists. They dont have it anymore.
Better than never having it, I guess.
Be kind … good mantra.

@@elvishell5526 I agree, my comment was aimed at the person who probably never had it.
@@TeleTonemonkey 👍
she totally has it still. she's a queen!
OMG!! So old! Give it up Granny!
