    Want to mention regarding the information on serotonin syndrome. I was not given triptans for years by my doctor due to taking another med that modified serotonin levels. In going to a neurologist that specializes in headaches and has been around a long time she got upset that this fear of giving triptans due to possible serotonin syndrome was causing a lot of people to suffer unnecessarily by not being prescribed triptans. Triptans have changed my life so much for the better! If you have been told you can’t take them by your family doctor or pharmacist etc please consult with a neurologist that specializes in migraines to see what your options are. I have already gotten weeks of normal life in the last 2 years or so that would have been taken over by migraines. So do yourself a favor and at least seek out a specialist in migraines. Good luck and there are so many good meds to help nowadays there is no need to suffer.

    I experience these unilateral attacks with the photobhobic, phonophobic symptoms but the duration of it varies, like it comes as a few minutes of extreme pain and then go away to return after a few minutes/hours. Is this migraine or some other diagnosis is possible?

    • @sanafatima2330
      @sanafatima2330 8 месяцев назад

      Detailed history would be needed to make diagnosis. Migraine usually lasts 4 to 72 hours

      @saadqamar8777 8 месяцев назад

      @@sanafatima2330 I don't experience it regularly for such a long duration, they are short lived attacks with a more frequent interval and most of the times managed with normal painkillers

    Thanks but that’s about 20 years behind the times. The pathophysiology section was about 30 years old. The rest of this after the intro was just advertising for drugs.
