Wow. And to think there are peeps out there sanding their headlights in multiple stages and using spray clear coat to get the same results you just did with only rubbing compound and spray wax. Good job bro. I’m gonna try what you just did.
Yep I used the same Turtle Wax rubbing compound and a old sock because I had some already in my garage and it worked great. After rubbing it out I finished it with some Nufinish.
one time I messed up and my headlights became almost solid white. I then got a idea to use car polish on them. It's only for metal and painted surfaces but I gave it a shot since I'll be buying new ones at the end of this year. and damn my headlights now look like they're brand new.
Instead of wax, I would use the headlight protectant spray by meguiars. Its basically wax but it seems to last year long and can last longer if you respray once every year.

The clear coat ought to give a much longer protection than wax. But then you have to worry about overspray
Sanding and clearing lasts about 1-2years. Without that youll be lucky to get 6 months without going back to yellow
Instead of wax, use a ceramic sealant like Turtle Wax Hybrid spray. Can be used on all surfaces, has UV protection, and lasts 6+ months.
I love that stuff
Thanks, I'll try that 😎👊🏽
I did the same with Maguires liquid compound. Add clear tire spray ( like armour all) to bring the clear out.
You mixed them together?
Nice! I bought a container from Walmart for $2.67 and it cleared both my headlights right up in about ten minutes.
lol... That stuff costs 17$ in Europe
What about the bottle
It costs $35 in Australia
Let’s go!!!!
Thank you sir. Great job. Continue to be Blessed.
thanks gerat job! never knew rubbing compound would help
I use the same stuff. Cheap, effective, quick, easy.
Holy Shnikys, first time trying it. It works!!
I use this after wet sanding and before clear coat. It replaces the polishing compound for me. It’s a permanent fix if you do all the steps.
Did you use acrylic coat?
Heavy rubbing compound + polishing compound + wax= best result.
This rule is for the rest of the car outside?
What wax do you use?
Sealant
they said above no wax, use a uv hybrid spray, the way will heat up and yellow hue will come out

Nu Finish is good stuff, underated but still going strong.
I am so excited to try this. Amazing video.
how you know he didn't switch out the headlights for new ones? it was a quick edit....im tryn2believe this owrk
It does work saw a auto painter clean over spray clean off of some headlights with this stuff just need alot of rubbing power
@@sanchiajohnson8920 how wet sand w grit800? first..............
Cause there is literally nothing to gain for him to do that.
Also, you can basically see it do its job whiles it's rubbing lol
How do i know ?umm because i have done this too.
WOW!!! Awesome quick fix.
Thank you Hernano Latino. buena ideo bro!!
Is it long lasting?

an* idea
yes this does work! thank you!

Whatever works and keeps your headlights clean and clear. 👍
@@stevenperez3613 Hey! How's the condition of the headlamp now? How long can I expect this to last.
It’s not wax it’s rubbing compound
Awesome video man
Is this the same as cutting compound?
Im gonna try this, Big Thanks...
Thanks for the idea 💡
Can i use on metal or chrome???
Like newwww !! Dam nice !! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Is your headlights glass or plastic?
Plastic. Glass lights don't tend to do that
so y use polish after compound? comments below said so, no need the compound works
Polish shines it more and seals microscopic imperfections and helps it to shed water, snow, ice, and road contaminates
Me to my girl @1:33
can this also help with minor scratches on the headlight?
Of course it will, its rubbing compound
Only worked about 1/2 way, still foggy. Continued application proved pointless. 😢
I used a rubbing compound and it caused scratches on my headlight. :(
Feck compaund is no risult
simple & great!
