- Watch the full Men’s Skateboard Vert competition from X Games Ventura 2024 Presented by SONIC!
How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 10 athletes competing in a 36 minute jam session with :30 second maximum runs. Athletes will take as many runs as possible within the 36 minutes. Best run counts, scored 1-100. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest.

motos first run had my jaw on the ground
Everyone is rippin these days. Those young tiny fella's are launching so high compared to blokes. If you use how tall there head hight is compared to head height of blokes. Crazy. What's the future bringing, hopefully awesome times if kids keep of iPhones

Also why the eff is Jason Ellis still announcing... He's terrible... Like actually the worst announcer in sports.
He reminds me of an Australian Darrell Waltrip that's on too much fentanyl.

i think jimmy had the biggest disadvantage with the wind because floating no grab airs is like his signature move
Crazy that 900s are becoming so common they’re being thrown in vert runs now.
pretty messed up to interview jimmy on the event mic during reefs run and call him the winner when someone is literally on the ramp with time on the clock, classless even

Why year after year they don't understand how the sun casts shadows. So annoying to watch.
how is it possible, that the Overlay got erased after 10min? Do you use Monkeys for the broadcast?

tom, moto, and mitchie all broke my heart on the first runs, if they had stayed on all of em could have blown the lid off the comp on the first run

Also can someone silence that girl who literally shrieked like she was being stabbed? That certainly doesn’t help focus. Cheering is one thing, screaming like you’re dying is obviously distracting…

Why no skateboard big air event this year? That's the best one!
They got rid of skate big air. Last year of it was 2021
I know what you mean ever since @X Games came back in 2021 without Big Air, it hasn't been as satisfying to me. I did a video on my RUclips asking X Games to Please Bring Back Skateboard 🛹 Big Air, BMX Big Air, and Moto X Freestyle. It's about 10 and 1/2 Min.

I knew it was gonna get to this point were 900s would be in contest runs granted it's way easier for kids tho cuz they weigh alot less

Well we used to call a really bad and swollen one, a turtle shell. Probably not the term you're looking for, but I thought I'd give it a shot (and share that). Lol.

Can someone explain to me how Moto’s run starting at 10:50 was only a 79?? I’m newer to this and every trick he did looked so cool I don’t understand how that run only scored a 79

massive respect for Jason Ellis, please remove him and zero respect for Gary, plase remove him. these contests watch people who know what they are watching, wee do not need them to scream and interupt other runs. or at least remove them from tv coverage let tham hype people who are there.

Ema got robbed. How does he do all the tricks everyone else was and scores bottom 60s. Gui as well. Same tricks lower score.
Im glad wilkins didint win. They reallly should have gave him 4th to make everyone understand how linear vs technical skaing really is
