How I wish we could turn back time when our lives were simpler, teenagers had to go to school, play outside, be home in time for dinner and listen to these beautiful songs.
And ‘da guys’ would harmonize on the street corners in Brooklyn where i was born and raised and sang this song so many times…great music, great time to have been alive and had this fabulous music in our lives💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely beautiful performance. Doo Wop at its very best.....smooth as silk coupled with the richness of the voices. Nothing can compare in my humble opinion!
What a voice! I first heard thin in 1967--8. I was 10. I received a huge stack of records. This was in it. I played it over and over and over again, as the song says. No less beautiful almost 60 years after I first heard it.
One summer night, I met my wife Natalie “Dolly,” in a second floor party in 126th Street (across from the bus terminal), we danced and fell in love, we lasted until she passed in 2015 of cervical cancer. I am still a widower. This song was playing as we danced and our love did last throughout all those years we had a son and daughter. Oh, what sweet love, that One Summer Night…
You bring tears to my eyes I'm so sorry about your one true love mine passed of breast cancer and I'm still a widower a young one at that. But the memories and stories of these songs that I listened to in my youth temporarily fill the hole left by my wife's passing. God bless you
Do all of us who had that One Summer Night that last a lifetime what a beautiful song beautiful memories thank you to all of us who fell in love that one Summer's night May the memories last forever thank you for the beautiful song
Man, this is a great remastering. So crisp. That Jimmy Weston has got a voice on him. Thanks for a beautiful song, so well done, Mr. Weston. Thanks for the upload.

That's Jimmy Weston singing on lead! WOW! He is probably lipsinging but it is still great to see him and the group doing their one hit wonder!!! It is DEFINITELY THE 1950's!!!!! Only this kind of singing and backup vocals can speak the 1950's era of true DOO WOP.
Hi Calvin Jackson - Agreed, good to see him and the group. What a great job he did with this lovely song. Unforgettable, and as you said, "Definitely the 1950s!!!" They sure had one more million selling song than I did. And when it's a real good one, that's all you need.
A song written by their manager . It was the only hit they ever had. What a beautiful voice. Song always makes me nostalgic and it was actually a little before my time. Go figure.
Thanks for this live version. Getting live versions of these songs is so difficult because the originals might have been lost or put in bad storage conditions before digitalization.
In 1958, I was 12 and had my my first date. Kiki and I went to Finks Bungalow Colony Canteen, Catskill Mts. and shared an ice cream soda. I am sure she was my first love. Sadly, she passed away last month without ever reconnecting.

Think about that all the time!!!only if we could
Grateful, that I lived through the Golden Age of Rock n Roll, and the few decades after that produced some of the best music in my lifetime.
I'm Just Curious, When/What Year Was That/This To Be Exact?, An Answer Would Be Appreciated, Thank U/You.
Mid 1950s
Too bad Elvis and white people stole rock and roll.

Another timeless classic for anybody who fell in love, beautiful ❤
I was a kid when doo Wop was formed but loved it from the beginning and I still do ❤️❤️❤️
Simply one of the greatest Doo Wop songs ever !!!!
I wish music like this was still produced
Me too, I never got used to the rap crap. I'm a ballad kind of oldie but goodie.
It is in Russia & on Mars
Unfortunately we will never see it again. Greatest Era of life and American culture ever.
One of the very BEST songs of DOO WOP era! WOW! 1958!!! DOO WOP FOREVER!!!!
This might actually be the BEST doo wop of all time!
Top 10 at least!
I always believed Earth Angel was the best Doo Wop song of all time, but this has to be so close
The Flamingos "I Only Have Eyes For You" it's up there too. This is how R&B sounded in the 50s. These young people don't know what real R&B music is.
Quite possibly the best ! Definitely top 3 👍
MY GOD, MY PEOPLE CAN SING!
The Greatest music EVER
Oh yes we can by God's grace oh yes we can
You bet your ass they can , Black R&B !!
Black people have always been the best at music, and boxing ❤❤ this is such a beautiful song
Black musicians paved the way for whites to rip off their music ! Like Elivis and Pat Boone

Real Music, they dont write them like this anymore..... best music period the 50s
Amazing voice,my dad past last year and these songs remind me of him.He loved the oldies.
Love watching and listening to the R&B musicians from the late 50's and 60's

I was wondering who he was, thank you.
Amen❤
What a great voice!
songs like these made in the 50s and early 60s were so soulful with a meaning to every song.Unlike the rap crap of today

The "and I knew" lyric at 1:15 gives me butterflies💛
One of my favorite romantic Summer songs. 💞🎼💞
I miss all the great music we had in the 50s, and 60s.
From the summer of 1958. One of the five greatest years of Rock & Roll. The others were 1956, 1957, 1959, and 1960.
Cal, we've never met, but your statement makes us kindred spirits.
Beautiful ❤

Drake who? Enough said.
But who are Drake?
JTrost1234 Not on his best day. There's no comparison between singers today as compared to the great old singers.
Don't even mention his name in the same breath as him
This song reminds me of a stranger girl that I met last past months. I want to see her again but its complicated :
tear jerker=oh those slow dances were special
when they played this music at the dances on weekend nights everybody danced, even the tough guys because that's how you met girls.
Alv this goes hard
Maybe just the greatest doo wop song ever...
Yes I agree, this one and Earth Angel
I agree , followed closely by There’s a Moon out Tonight by the Capris. But I agreed this is the king of all Doo Wop songs
