      Love to see what the Ford's brakes looked like after getting dragged for that long... dragging the brakes during a "burnout" is pointless...

    • @ziggy3237

      First in a diesel is a granny gear. It produces so much torque, you could win a drag race starting in second just fine.

    • @Getfuqqedfedboy
      @Getfuqqedfedboy 3 года назад +3

      @@ziggy3237 ya depends how short the gear is and how long shift takes. I had an F150 long bed some years back, and shift from 1st to second took like half a second maybe 3/4ths of a second and first gear only get you up to 20 maybe 25mph at best... starting in second gear and getting the engine to spin up a bit so don’t big down probably a smart move, just Tanner here may have been too aggressive with his launch causing 2nd gear to run shorter as already pushing limited RPM range and it to wasted a few feet worth of torque turning tire into smoke and skid marks.

    • @vintagetractorsaustralia
      @vintagetractorsaustralia 3 года назад

      Other than the fact a lot turbo 400 transmissions built for drag racing have a trans brake on both 1st and second gears so that if the surface is not very good, you can leave in second to avoid losing traction.

      Ford frames are shit. You can even open the tailgate on a ford when it's flexed out bc the frame bends so badly. Btw the power stroke 6.0 is the worst Diesel engine ever made. The ideal truck would be a Chevy frame, Alison transmission, and Cummins turbo diesel 😎

Tell Chevy to come-up with a truck to race the SRT Ram & the Ford SVT Raptor. THEN that's a truck race. An semi-old.semi-new truck, which held the worlds fastest truck title, and a truck built for off-roading.

    There's no way that Rut was doing it right, I mean a regular Silverado with the 5.3L will do a sick burnout, next time he should turn off traction control and StabiliTrak, and actually make it fair!

      Yes, but the dually doesn't have the same performance numbers. More power and torque.

    • @threesidedtriangle1798

      eots44 It needs that because it's heavy and for towing

    • @eots44
      @eots44 9 лет назад

      Yes, 1500= less towing capacity, less weight, less power and torque. 3500 more towing capacity, more weight, more power and torque. The Ford which is built for the same thing did it, the Silverado should have been able to as well.

    These guys obviously know nothing about trucks. It doesn't matter how many cylinders you have. A 15L Cummins has SIX Cylinders and has up to 2050 ft lbs of torque. Now the new Cummins has 385hp and 850 ft lbs of torque and trumps the Powerstroke, according to Diesel Power Magazine. Not sure what it does against the LML Duramax, which outperforms the Powerstroke.

    Chevy/GM is the best in my opinion, The Duramax+Allison trans= Best combo!
    The Ram though is probably going to be the best at pulling because of the inline 6 but they sometimes have transmission problems.
    The Powerjoke is just trash in my opinion, too many problems.
    They are all great trucks choose the one you like instead of arguing.

      smp_4 p Nissan's are great My friend has a titan I really like it, but I need something with a little more power to pull my toy hauler. if i didn't need to pull that then I would probably get a Toyota tundra or something like that. Nissan and Toyota are coming out with a diesel version of the tundra and titan! I cant wait for those. Both trucks are going to get a Cummins turbo diesel.

    • @musicrevelation2023
      @musicrevelation2023 3 года назад

      Bruh, the dodge has a Allison trans lol. The cummins makes more power than both and will live longer. Now in the 2020 3500 you can get a aisin trans which is basically a very beefy toyota trans that allows the truck to make 1000 ft pounds to the wheels

    • @musicrevelation2023
      @musicrevelation2023 3 года назад

      Also the only issue dodge had with there trans was the secound gen which is the 95-02 trucks. Before and after that they didn't have a issue
