You already saw Sam Beckett in this season, he was Ben in the opening scenes. This series first scene will be the series final scene with a different perspective. Sam lept into Ben at some point before the new show began and was working with Al's daughter as a way to seperate them so that both could remain in the present, as long as Sam is Ben, then Ben is stuck dormant. This is what "ben" meant in that video he left behind about things not making sense yet but they will. It also explains how all that advanced code on the thumb drive came to be. It was Sam. Sam was trying to seperate them, and essentially the only way to do that, was to rebuild the accelerator with his knowledge...and leap..so he helped rebuild quantum leap, stepped into the accelerator, thus separating them, and setting the show in motion. The final episode will show ben right after recording that phone message, and moments before he steps into the accelerator. He will look in a mirror and it'll be Scott Bakula. The show will end, as it began, with Ben going on his first leap, and Sam likely conciously giving up his chance to live, so that Ben can live and continue the work he started. It'll he established that Sam is dormant, in the back of Bens mind and anytime Ben needed that little extra courage, or had an odd intuition, that was Sam.
The internet will hate it and there will be a whole online thing about how "that's not how the mirror image thing works it doesnt make sense why did he see scott bakula when sam never saw hinself" and "why didn't Sam just leap as himself like he did in the original series finale". It all goes alittle cah cah.
I don't think so, Tim.
This would turn the show from unwatchable to unmissable
I agree with this theory. It’s what I was thinking too. We will eventually see Sam Beckett on this show, if it doesn’t get canceled.
People just need to be patient. It's hard but...
The mystery of what ben is doing can keep u interested but I think Sam should be found by the end of the season cause some fans are just hating cause Scott said he wasn’t apart of the show but new talks can be in the works to get Scott on bord to at least get Sam found and maybe brought home
Wait what? If I remember the end of Quantum Leap God told Sam the he was not controlling his leaps and that he could leap home whenever he wants. But the choice was Sam's and being who he was Sam chose to keep Leaping and helping other. I would like His daughter to be still with the project, I think that would be a nice touch.
I always thought it would be a good movie but hey, a show is better
And Al and Beth had 4 daughters
Sam actually leaped far into the future, to the 28th century and using another variation on his time traveling hologram tech, became Future Guy on ST Enterprise. 😊
They were approved for a total of 18 episodes for season 1 and I'm living for it. They said it's doing well in streaming...
Janice is one of four daughters that Al and Beth had. It would be interesting to find out where the other three are.
Absolutly, I wrote it before.
It is clear that Sam was in Ben's body since the last few months to create those codes.
I really enjoy the show. It's getting better every episode.
It sounds intriguing! I hope that Scott Bakula might change his mind; if not, I also hope they do not get another actor to play Cr. Sam Beckett!
I have a theory of my own… Did you notice the hand device of Addison ? It looks exactly like the device of the "evil leapers" team in the original series. In the original series (as well as the new one), the "evil leapers" were always supposed to be coming from another group of leapers but it was supposed they were from the same time period. But I always suspected another possibility was for the "evil leapers" to be from a future further away in time, using the same quantum leap accelerator. So what if this new team is the premise of the "evil leapers" ? What if both Ben Song and Janice Calavicci have figured out that "Magic" had other motives ? That could be why they are trying to reach Sam Beckett somewhere in time, probably not only to save him but to gather his help with specifics of his machine and undo the "evil leapers" before they become a reality. Beware of the timey-wimey effects of that !
It’s pretty good. Each episode is tying in the original to bring Sam home. Be interesting if the people Sam have helped actually bring him home
Scott bakula will show up on the show . Just give it a little time.
There is no mystery as to why Sam's leaps are uncontrolled. In the pilot of the original it's stated out right that Sam leapt before they were ready. Goochie says it, Ziggy says it Al says it. The experiment wasn't ready so Sam got lost in time.
Sam didn't want to go home. He wanted to continue leaping and helping people which is why it said that the end Sam Beckett never came home even after delivering the message to Beth.
Sam or Sammy Jo if she went looking
Interesting theory
Ben could meet Sam in the middle of one of his own leaps and you wouldn't need Scott, just whoever is playing the leapee.
There's actually 4 daughters Janice is only one, I just hope this is about saving or finding what happened.. if you remember in the original it was go try and get home with each Leap, just hope this isn't the hope for Sam but never finding and gets to go home..
For Sam and Ben to meet there is only a small window of time as you can only leap in your own life time
i dont want them to rush it but the ways tv works now i dont want this to do 1 season never bring sam home then get canceled then its all for nothing
Oh Sam will show up...just wait for when the ratings start going down. I believe this theory , especially since they recently just told us that Ernie Hudson's character is the Magic from the two parter where Sam leaps into him to save his platoon as well as his brother Tom in Vietnam.
Is magic the same magic Sam jumped to where he saved his brothers life in Vietnam?
Yes, it's the same actor. He aged really well.
not unless they recast Sam's character.. Scott Bakula already said he's got nothing to do with it and won't be in it
I think that he may be trying to act like he isn't because it would kill the whole show, because it would give too much away. If he wasn't gonna be involved he wouldn't have let them use his likeness in the hologram they used of him.
He’s fibbing.
@@4Thessia if at the time of the statement Scott put out he wasn’t lying there could be new talks in progress to get him on board cause it looks like Ben was trying to find Sam and the point he is trying to get to could be Sam
Even taking what Mr. Bakula said at face value, he didn't say that under no circumstances would he ever be in it.
If they did manage to bring Sam back and save his fate in 2022 season's 1 it would completely ruin the chance of a second season because the main objective that we all seem to think is at the moment even though it's not revealed yet is completed, I think that what might happen since they Scott Bakula does not want to reignite his role anymore is that they will "revisit" one of the classic episodes maybe giving supple hints that Ben bumps into Sam unknowingly helping him, maybe make a tribute episode to Dean Stockwell in the process by having one of his moments just the audio part when the original Ziggy handlink fails making him go back to the waiting room because the current hologram is interfering since they use the same tech based info.
"Bring Sam back" as if he needs help? Sam is supposed to be in control of his leaping and decided to not come back.
Might want to check your assumptions... Barkeep Al from Mirror Image stated he was *NOT* God and that it was Sam who was in control of his leaps, a claim proven when Sam chose and changed Al's and Beth's timeline.
It's not a theory, they have all but said it outloud
Sam will come home but Ben will be the sacrifice.
The biggest mystery is where's the waiting room
Science doesn't go awry, it just goes a little ka-ka 😉
It would something if Ben’s fiancée is Sam’s daughter he had when he leaped into the lawyer/ fiancée of his client. ( I forgot the name of the episode).
it's not god, but I do agree Ben's leaps are more targeted
Save Sam?? does he need saving?, find, maybe, but save?
Rescue? I thought Sam chose not to return?
that's what i feel also and IF it gets canceled it will be because of the trolls who get pissed about all changes
Nope, if it gets canceled it's because of the horrible writing.
Is anyone actually watching this show?
Yes and I like it. If you aren't even giving it a chance...that's on you.
It’s pretty good. Each episode is tying in the original to bring Sam home. Be interesting if the people Sam have helped actually bring him home
It's getting better every episode...I truly believe Sam will be back in this series somewhere at the end of the season
How's about this for a theory. In the first episode he learn Ben left the party, because Janis Calavicci needed to talk to him. I think Janis uncovered that Addison(the one who was supposed to leap, and also Ben's supposed fiance)was not who she said who she was. Perhaps a spy from the evil leapers project. Maybe even Zoey's daughter. Now Ben left Addison a message promising to explain things in the future, but that was to just stop any suspicion she may of had about him taking the leap instead of her, probably to buy them time. It's just an early theory I have. I think inevitably, Janis Calavicci will take her father's place and becomes Ben's guide. Also. I know Scott Bakula turned down being in the show, but with Al dead, who is guiding Sam Beckett now? Maybe they are just keeping a tight lid on the show and Scott really will make guest appearances. Keeping it secret. Sort of like in Deadpool 2, when all of Xforce died right away even though multiple trailers, showed them as a big part of the movie. Anywho.....
I hope this is true. Because so far this show SUCKS.
The new show is awful. Just admit it.
How is it awful, and no, just because Scott and Dean aren't in it aren't valid reasons to hate it.
@@videogenics86 Horrible writing, Horrible pacing, No chemistry between the Leaper and the Observer. More about the future than being in the moment in the past. I can go on.
@@JediOfTheRepublic I haven't seen a full episode yet, but I saw enough of the first one to agree about the show being more about the future than time travel. The writers need to change that A.S.A.P, before it's too late.
