In the states there is nothing on that level of quality construction available. Y’all keep using plywood and sticks to build houses over there that get destroyed by anything above CAT 2 hurricane. 😂
If I had to move my family of 4: #3 every single day. More privacy, less heat as trees and pergolas provide shade. More space for friends to visit/ kids to run & play (you’ll have local friends over at some time). #1 & #2 have modern city slicker vibes - #3 feels like a true family home to nest in.
I agree. Still feels rather dull compared to the lot in Sweden, Casa Castle and Casa Camo, but out of the three shown the third would be my recommendation too.

Marbella was the best place to them to live even if rickard is not here anymore. Nice weather, nice airport, nice city, very good international schools…
Is it just me or does every house looks the same with no place and privacy what so ever, like the houses are great but it looks like a vacation resort with maximum profit orientation.. like house three looked like an actual "normal" house... and its more likely that they could easily change a lot around there instead of 1 or 2... well still incredible place tho and I wish u all the best!!!
I've told you before that the rental cost you had in Monaco was outrageously high, and that it's a better investment to buy something of your own, (which you can also rent out if necessary) to make sure you reduce your variable monthly costs (!) - and since you apparently can’t afford to buy an apartment or villa in Monaco, with at least 2 bedrooms (which is the minimum requirement for a family with two children), I can understand that Cyprus (also with low taxes) will be a cheaper alternative for you and your family, in the long run. Which seems to have been Rickard's and Jon's plans from the beginning… The view and proximity to the sea is obviously a big plus; but all the houses in that area themselves looked so sadly as square boxes with no soul or charm - not at all comparable to Casa Castle's charm and beautiful style - thus a real downgrading. In Marbella you also had several nice Swedish couples and families that you could socialize with, if you just wanted to. That’s important for the children, to have a stable network of friends around them. With that said, I also think that the 3rd villa was the best, especially the private garden to play in, for your small children. You can also build on it and renovate even more to your own taste, eventually, if you decide to buy it. Anyway, wish you good luck and all the best - everything will probably be just fine in the end.
There is a reason Monaco is that expensive. And it's not a downgrade from their summer house as they will only rent a place in Cyprus. The new summer house in the one in Sweden which will be far better than the one in Marbella (and they will be able to socialize with swedes lol) and their "fiscal renting place" is also an upgrade from renting an appartment in Monaco to a villa in Cyprus. The only downside is that Monaco is still a better place taxes wise.
Oh man I can understand your thoughts in relation to an economic based view, but I don´t think you should really give Jon and his family tips about their financial decisions. Richard is a wealthy Entrepreneure since many decades, and now with his real estate agency. Janni is a well known model and probably has many ad contracts and is making money with social media. And Jon maybe also gets money from RedBull for promoting the brand and of course his company C`est normal. The have enough knowledge and very good connections in every aspect :)
I think he said he got a pretty good deal on the Monaco apartment, so he wasn't probably paying that much (in relative terms, of course). I guess it would have been a good investment many years ago, but he probably didn't have his portfolio established and had many other expenses as he was younger and didn't think about buying there. Anyway, I thinks living in Cyprus wouldn't suit them well and they'd probably go somewhere else. However, I don't see why, if they need to live there this year for tax reasons, they don't just live with Rickard for a few months (I thinks Cyprus just requires 60 days) and then go back to Monaco or any other place with a better plan.
House #3 is great for space, privacy and luxury. The location is still the most important question, though: is Cyprus the place for you? The pandemic has shown the problems with trying to live a jet-set life, especially with kids: if you're not in a community with safety, healthcare, education, stores, attractions, and a community of people that is not far from your family and other places you often go to, then you'll just end up isolated at home like Janni was complaining about in Marbella. Rent a nice holiday home anywhere for 2 or 3 months, and then go back to your home base in Monaco, even if it's smaller than you'd like. Rickard could move on to another opportunity by the time you settle down in Cyprus. You don't have to change your house like you change your cars, especially now that you have kids.
They are choosing this over Monaco for avoiding taxes in Sweden. Monaco and Cyprus are both tax paradises. They obviously will determine this as their first residence towards swedish tax authorities and than they will stay there for a few weeks or even months every year so that it is not illegal. It really is sad to see that all these young kids in the comment section are celebrating such an act of unsolidarity with their fellow citizens. Especially Rickard seems to be high on being rich
Don't look at the Marbella house when they sold it, look at the house when they bought it. Not comparable. Jon is not going to get a house there and just call it a day. That house will look nothing like it does now by the time they sell it again.
Marbella has become a complete shit show in the last couple of years... It was always a hub for criminals but more recently the crime rates have shot up and mob bosses are openly patrolling the streets with armed gun men - definitely not a place you'd want to raise a family, wealthy people are leaving there in their droves. That said, after being faced with moving from Marbella it seems like they did choose Cyprus for tax reasons.. I've been there, it's really not great - very expensive, low construction standards, little privacy (homes are very close together), little of cultural / historic interest & poor food scene. Hopefully they will look at Malta instead..
I was under the impression that Cyprus was going to replace Monaco and not Marbella, and that they would have sold the Marbella house either way. And let's not forget that they are also building two new houses in Sweden and Lombok.
I guess that after living 16yo in the same place (Monaco) it must be hard to say goodbye... but I am pretty sure this guy will adapt perfectly on Cyprus, he is great
I can just smell the mold in these old flat-roofed brick houses! Even though Cypress is really dry and doesn't get a lot of rain, in places like this that are really hot, when they do occasionally get moisture they can get a lot of mold in bricks especially houses with flat roofs. On a different note, is anyone else thinking what I am? I really didn't get the feeling that Jon was that enthusiastic even though he pretended to be. I wonder if he's allowing his arm to be twisted by Rickard who of course would love to have them there. No doubt Jon wants to be close to Rickard as well but I really didn't get the feeling he was that in love with the place even though he made it sound like he was. Maybe I'm imagining things!
Jon, I have watched your last few years of videos only over the past year. Having seen lots of your friends come and go over the episodes I think it would be really cool if you could update us on where they all are now?? I am thinking of your pals from Monaco etc that have appeared since the early days. Just an idea!!!
Seems better than the appartment in Monaco to me. If you want to compare something with the house in Marbella, then compare it with the new house in Sweden that will be better than Marbella in every way possible.
@@Fs-4 You never lived in a 30 square meter appartement with a family of 4 (or even 3) to say that. But sure for a rich single person, it's nice to live in for 6 months, but it's not the case here.
@@22Epic First of all, and just to clarify, it wasn't a 30 square meter apartment. 😂It's true it is small for a family of 4 (if you can choose), but facts are facts. And I was saying that it seemed nice, but in terms of quality. The OP was mentioning the houses look cheap, and I agree, they look like they wanted to cut costs, and then you answered to that. And I wouldn't say they were even living there for 6 months a year either if you've been following, although maybe with the pandemic things changed a little.
Welcome to Cyprus Jon!! We are so stoked to have you and the family here. Let me know if your ever up for some mediterranean surfing. A bit of swell is on the way. Yeww enjoy our beautiful island!
House number 3 ofc!! You love trees and you could get a lawn were the kids could play, also there is much moore space for the kids to play on. And you said you loved the kitchen.
It's one thing to pick a house but what's around it. Is it a group of houses completely isolated or connected to a nice town like Marbella. What's the civilization like. What's the medical situation like, how are the locals, are there swedish candy stores or even better, danish :) vegan restaurants etc. Where is the luxury civilization of Monaco and Marbella, where is the infinity pool view, where is the vegetation, where are the yachts. Might be better to invite Rickard back to civilization. This feels like a time share in boredom. A 10x step down and I imagine the house prices reflect that. Neighbors are turkey, syria, lebanon and israel.
quick google suggests that spain tax for foreigners is around 19%. If you have lived tax free for 20 years in Monaco, have you not accumulated plenty of wealth that 19% is fine? what good is a few percent more if you live in a desert.
@@DanFrederiksen You wish it was 19%. I think it'll only be the case for capital gains of non-resident EU citizens. 😂 It's much more complicated than that. If you fall under the requirements of a specific law and you request it, you could pay 24% for some years, but only if you win less than 600.000€. However, you won't benefit from double taxation agreements. If not you could end up paying up to 45% (I guess that's what they'll pay). But I agree that Cyprus does not look like a very "appealing" place to live, even for a few months, if you can choose.
This place is nice, but I can't believe you replaced Marbella and Casa Castle with this place with Marbella nothing can to compare that energy and good vibes, and the sunset from Casa Castle 🌅💛 is invaluable 😍 Marbella is Marbella 🌊☀️💙
The new summer house is the one they are building in Sweden, better in every way than Marbella. Cyprus is replacing the small appartment in Monaco for the tax evasion.
Remember this. Depositors in two Cypriot banks lost billions when savings were confiscated to protect the island's banking system in 2013, in a process known as a bail-in. The move was a condition sought by international creditors for a 10 billion euro ($11.62 billion) bailout to the east Mediterranean island. You can't trust cypriot banking system.
Very true! Investment house 3 if you want to stay for the sun. Short option house number 2 on rent .never ever move your money there. It’s hard to be rich you are the slave of your money!
Spending a lot of money on renting/ buying a house, which looks exactly like the house next door and again the house next door? I though this was the lifestyle of the middle class and not the upper class? 😂 Definitely missing the individual architectural finesse on this whole gated community project.
That's why they're only looking to rent at the moment. And if they like Cyprus enough to settle there, they will likely get a new plot to build their house on.
Hi Jon, interesting 3 options but how about you find a run-down old, historical and big house and turn it into a new project? CAMO HOUSE II in Cyprus would be a unique content. (c;

Your Marbella house was 100 times better, plus you know close to civilisation, they spoke Spanish which you were learning, now its greek. Just pay your taxes, jeez. Im sure you could afford having a bit smaller boat or one less luxury car.
House #1 and 2 are contemporary boxes so good for short(er) term. House #3 is my pick for long term but needs renovating (especially those miniscule windows/sliding doors)
The third house is by far the most natural and beautiful. House 1 & 2 look like copy&paste houses, pretty boring straight out of a online shop for houses...
H2 is like a combo of Monaco and Casa Camou... But it's tight and lots of separate spaces. I'd pick H3 on this one... It feels lived in, it's open space (really good for kids growing up) I know some areas are dated so u Jannid can put her own stamp and make it feel like yours. I dunno I'm excited for u guys! Thank u for sharing felt like I'm a part of it. PS: glad to see grandpa on the vlog 💗
Gated soulless resort with views to concrete. It seems to me they try too hard to acknowledge their choice, but it is just so not their style of living, I don't get it.
Go live in Corfu, Greece. Classy, big island as well, too many forests and amazing villas to stay on the mountains or near the beach with amazing views to the sea! Also there are too many islands to travel nearby!!
None of them. I hope everything works out in the end and you can make it back to Monaco. It looks like a much better option and I'm sure you'd miss the French Riviera and location anyway
Rikard had a plot in Marbella, and wanted to build a house together with jon. 6 months later hes in Cyprus, in a house that cant hold a candle to his old marbella house… yeah something went wrong…
Yeah rickard up and leaving was a bit confusing. I don’t think there’s any sort of conspiracy all their businesses seem to be doing quite well. It’s just a bit puzzling to me their life in marbella was absolutely dreamy
House #2 screams that’s for a couple (no kids) or a bunch of grown up couples coming over to spend their holidays. House #3 is a house for someone with kids.
I guess without prices it's difficult to compare but I would choose house number 3. I would never move to an island. How can you do the crazy car trips?
If you had bought a Monaco property 15 years ago that had at least 2 or 3 bedrooms, you could have renovated it and banked all that equity instead of wasting your money on rent. By now you'd have it almost paid off, or traded up to somewhere even better. You could still follow Rickard around for your holiday home, but keep Monaco as your home base of stability for the kids.
I’d say house 3, it’s something special with it. In my opinion it’s not just a house it’s a place I would call my home. It feels cozy and private. It’s surrounded by trees and plants that reminds me little of where I live in Sweden.

DEFINITELY NUMBER 3. Feels the most family homish
What are you doing? There are way way nicer areas in Cyprus. Giving up Marbella for this is ludicrous.
agree... so sad to see a beautiful coastal area be ruined by hundreds of identical houses with no personality...
they gave up monaco for this, for now. The gave up marbella for Sweden. And don't forget lombok is still on it's way
They are not giving away Marbella for Cyprus (Rickard did), they are giving away Monaco for this, which is also ludicrous. 😂
It sound like a RICKARD real estate developer partnership 😎
Great vlogs! The sea is breath-taking but the houses.. come on. Not comparable to Marbella whatsoever... I wonder what really happened in Spain..
Taxes happened
@@jasperkoller508 100%!
Doesn't feel like Jon is genuinely excited in the intro, but he's doing this to see if he can live next to Richard, which is nice of him
I guess that after living 16yo in the same place (Monaco) it must be hard to say goodbye... but I am pretty sure this guy will adapt perfectly on Cyprus, he is great
#3! Feels much more spacious, especially outside, and I love the greenery!

3rd definitely the best for a family.
What a blessing to have choices like this!❤ Glad to see a happy family!
3rd house for sure! I am a sucker for privacy 😇 good luck with your decision making - whichever you choose they are all beautiful!
I liked the house 3 the most! 🤗 Love these vlogs… I am so excited for you guys
House 3 - spacious. Kid friendly. Guest friendly. Nice gardens. More like Marbella style …this is my favourite for you to rent
#3 is looking awesome and more private and a lot cozier than the 2. one ! And having a real back yard is awesome for the kids.
houses look like hotels with elevator… everything looks cheap inside. Your previous house can’t be compared with these “buildings”.
Seems better than the appartment in Monaco to me. If you want to compare something with the house in Marbella, then compare it with the new house in Sweden that will be better than Marbella in every way possible.
@@22Epic except that it’s in cold Nordic woods….
@@22Epic Nope to me. Architecturally speaking was a little weird, but seemed nice. And you can't compare Monaco's location and life with Cyprus.
Really love house no. 3!! Most private, big area,
trees and more atmospheric and homely
3 is the most family looking home so that's my pick :) & you can also expand and make it bigger :)
Welcome to Cyprus Jon!! We are so stoked to have you and the family here. Let me know if your ever up for some mediterranean surfing. A bit of swell is on the way. Yeww enjoy our beautiful island!
These houses got no soul at all
yeah so industrial..
Frankly can't disagree.
The only soul was the folded towels on the beds, like a bad cruise ship.
Family home number 3. 😍 100% that outside area for kids. I’ve lived in Cyprus you’ll be thankful for them trees in the hight of summer..
third house for sure !
House number 3 ofc!!
You love trees and you could get a lawn were the kids could play, also there is much moore space for the kids to play on. And you said you loved the kitchen.
House 3 “casa shadow” has character like casa castle. The others are meh.
Definitely house number 3. Beautiful view gorgeous yard, Private and kid friendly! Good luck in deciding!!
The house in Marbella was the best ❤️❤️❤️
House 3 for sure! You're gonna really appreciate all that shade and privacy in the backyard
Totally agree
agree..area feels super boring compared to marbella..
Love your vlogs Jon. Watching it for 5 years now.
This place is nice, but I can't believe you replaced Marbella and Casa Castle with this place with Marbella nothing can to compare that energy and good vibes, and the sunset from Casa Castle 🌅💛 is invaluable 😍 Marbella is Marbella 🌊☀️💙
True
The new summer house is the one they are building in Sweden, better in every way than Marbella.
Cyprus is replacing the small appartment in Monaco for the tax evasion.
They follow Ricardo, always
100% house no 3! Looks so cozy and it’s ready for Leia and Leon!
Crypto!!
Actually you can trust them more than any bank in the world, with the current situation.
So happy seeing you considering staying in iur beautiful island Cyprus 🇨🇾❤️❤️❤️
Please do a video on prices at Cyprus like property cost, living cost etc. I'd like to know more!
i like the word you said"I am a dad now, so I'm a responsible guy" you must be the greatest dad ever ever in the world.
Spending a lot of money on renting/ buying a house, which looks exactly like the house next door and again the house next door?
I though this was the lifestyle of the middle class and not the upper class? 😂
Definitely missing the individual architectural finesse on this whole gated community project.
That's why they're only looking to rent at the moment. And if they like Cyprus enough to settle there, they will likely get a new plot to build their house on.

thank you Jon for your wonderfull flipflop sound during the entire vlog ;)
Maybe because I am Canadian, but I truly couldn't imagine having tile all over the house!
I would choose house n 3 definetly more space and privacy, hope your enjoying and i cant wait to see Cyprus
House 2 has an amazing view, but house 3 feels more "Janni" with palm trees...And you have so many space to improve for yourself :D
So def House 3 🥳
House 3 is by far the best, what i've seen in the video.
Hi Jon, interesting 3 options but how about you find a run-down old, historical and big house and turn it into a new project? CAMO HOUSE II in Cyprus would be a unique content. (c;
I‘d guess he needs something to stay fast. He‘s building stuff in Lombok too at the Moment
House number 3 was the best one...the kitchen/livingroom area, the garden etc.
so its clear, janni is the boss, when her dad moves she moves and jon just listens
You know what they say.... Happy Wife = Happy Life.
I think Janni is more of a daddy's girl and loves being around her father AND Jon and Rickard get along great together. Win-win.
@@TheJsl84 thats what boys say, not men. i bet if u ask jon’s REAL opinion (which he will never share) he doesnt want to be in shitty cyprus, next to countries in WAR and under turkey which has some problems with other europe states. its like waiting for an invasion in there
@@michaelmich00 and how old are you since you have to drop that stupid reply? It was just a little joke. I'm sure both Jon and Richard takes their familys safty quite serious, and knows what they are doing when they choose to move to Any country.
I don’t think Janni wants to live near him at all, it’s Jon that’s in love with Rikard. LOL. If Janni could I am sure she would live in Sweden all year round her mom, grandma, friends and family. Cyprus seems like a lonely existence.
3rd one! Leon loved the garden in Marbella. This is better for a family.
Your Marbella house was 100 times better, plus you know close to civilisation, they spoke Spanish which you were learning, now its greek. Just pay your taxes, jeez. Im sure you could afford having a bit smaller boat or one less luxury car.
Too much taxes...
i live in cyprus and everyone can speak english. from young to old. Former British Colonie
Seems like they are desperately trying to get themselves to like it
Go live in Corfu, Greece. Classy, big island as well, too many forests and amazing villas to stay on the mountains or near the beach with amazing views to the sea!
Also there are too many islands to travel nearby!!
What about the big house you had in spain? Thats better then all of this new ones
They sold it
@@dianakelehsasvili4613 thats a shame
Amazing place and houses, helps having the king of houses and apartments in the family!
None of them. I hope everything works out in the end and you can make it back to Monaco. It looks like a much better option and I'm sure you'd miss the French Riviera and location anyway

The second house is nice, but how long before they start building next door on the vacant land?? There goes the advantage of the corner block.
The Marbella house looked better!
SO EXCITING 👏👏👏👏👏. Good luck Jon!
If you want better properties than Marbella I would suggest Limassol. Way way better villas than the ones in Paphos!
Daddy dont live there
Been waiting for this Cyprus 🇨🇾 Vlog! Love it!
Rikard had a plot in Marbella, and wanted to build a house together with jon. 6 months later hes in Cyprus, in a house that cant hold a candle to his old marbella house… yeah something went wrong…
Big chance they are going to build a big house together in Cyprus.
@@remivandewiel7093 why leave marbella so quick, and at the same time leave monaco..
Rikard said he had a plot in marbella…
Yeah rickard up and leaving was a bit confusing. I don’t think there’s any sort of conspiracy all their businesses seem to be doing quite well. It’s just a bit puzzling to me their life in marbella was absolutely dreamy
"Was looking for a plot" not "had a plot".
House 3 !! The layout is unique and the trees are old and beautiful
House #2 screams that’s for a couple (no kids) or a bunch of grown up couples coming over to spend their holidays. House #3 is a house for someone with kids.
House Nr3 is by far the best choice in my opinion. Absolutely beautiful!
After watching this episode, I am definitely not a fan of Cyprus.
#3 easy, for the unbeatable privacy, land, and PALM TREES
#3 is gorgeous, perfect for a family
I really don't understand the choice of living there. The Marbella house was by far the best of all... this island looks pretty boring to me
this is their new Monaco not Marbella
@@thomas-be3hy cause they can't afford taxes or else Jon would have to buy a smaller boat and less vacation homes.
@@zuldo8577 no, they can't afgorfmd house they really like in monaco so the look in elsewhere. taxes are though the key here
@@thomas-be3hy they should just move to Africa, plenty of tax havens there
House 3 for the little ones, without a doubt. Happy house hunting, looks beautiful💜
These houses are far below in quality compared to the one you just sold. Go buy your other house back.
Ricard goes to live in Compton HERE COMES JON right next to him
House 3!!!! Looks so peaceful and calm love it
