ZERO! She barely even apologized for it and went as far as to blame Hawke for getting her "sentimental" enough to return, lamenting how she lost the chance to get a new ship because new ship > people's lives as far as she was always concerned. This is who is giving you sermon about morality here. THIS!
I get that trans people hate being misgendered, and we still have a ways to go as a society, but this scene seems WAY out of place in a gothic medieval fantasy rpg. You can tell the writers were treating the script more like a group therapy session than anything else.
There are two things that make this scene... shit. Taash doesn't say shit. Taash has no agency in this scene at all - they don't ask for this, they don't want it, they don't get a say in what's happening. Despite the whole "Some people make it all about themselves" - Isabella basically goes on a massive monologue to prove what a huge ally she is and makes it all about herself. Taash doesn't get to say they want her to do this, Taash gets no input, they just have to watch it happen. Second - as a Trans person - this is literally the most fucking embarrassing thing you could do. If someone misgenders me, saying "Oh, Sorry" and moving on is all I want. It's all any of us want, because the longer someone goes on about it, the more uncomfortable literally everyone gets, and that can result in people then directing hostility towards US because suddenly we're the center of attention. If someone says Sorry and then tries to not do it again, that is the actual best. If someone says sorry, gets up, does ten pushups, then goes on a long fucking monologue about how misgendering is bad, that is the fucking nightmare scenario. The writer who wrote this scene is Nonbinary - but they came out while working on DA:V, and I'm sorry but it fucking shows.
Don't worry, this will be the end of the franchise, and the last gasps of Bioware as a studio. EA is going to give em the Old Yeller treatment after this flop
This is pretty good actually! I always find myself unable to kill off party members at key plot moments. But this way it’s like a slasher movie. It’s fine if they all die. I’m just curious to see how.
Actually if you had a brain you'd know mostly women wrote this dialogue, and any men that were involved were NOT the way you described 😂 if anything they have pink Mohawks and 0 muscle definition
The issue for me is, Isabela doesn't seem to be the type of people who care about this kind of things, it is out of character. Josephine maybe, Isabela no.
This is the exact same character who attempted to make a kink out of Fenris' trauma experienced at the hands of Tevinter slavers. What would be more in character for Isabella is if she asked something like what genitalia Taash has, or whether Taash's self imposed identity makes her any better in between the sheets.
No s hit. Good game art + game play decent + overly simplified rpg elements + total trans emersion = trans grooming game. This game is about grooming the kids. Sick.
Oh no, it is targeted toward children. They’re “normalizing” it. The worst part is the option for “top surgery” scars in character creation, celebrating self-mutilation.
@@thistles shout out my cousin who had to get a double mastectomy bc of cancer and thusly celebrates self-mutilation ! (also it would just be regular mutilation bc you dont perform the surgery on yourself)
@ yeah, that’s exactly the same thing. Someone who lost his balls to an IED doesn’t justify castration of healthy males. Cancer doesn’t justify elective surgery to remove healthy breasts.
"Lets bring Isabela back for a cameo!" "Great then she can make a reference to the plays choice Hawke and if they are alive or romanced or not!" "No instead I think she can be used as a vehicle for pathetic, narcissistic and delusional virtue signalling about 'not making it about yourself' when you upset someone who is 'making it all about themselves' with their delusions." "........will she even mention about Varric?"
Five options of dialogue. “Great job.” “Exercise and self improvement!” “Are you okay, Tasha?” “That’s open minded!” “Why not just say sorry?” All the dialogue is the same.
This feels like some writer's revenge power fantasy that they wrote instead of going to therapy and dealing with their emotions like an adult. The equivalent of writing thinly veiled caricatures of everyone who bullied you in high school getting put into saw traps
There’s nothing wrong with trans characters but even I as a binary trans woman feel like they’re only pandering towards a small minority within this already small community.. nonbinary people. You don’t see many binary trans people in games or their identities are left ambiguous. It’s annoying. I have nothing against nonbinary people but every nonbinary token character in games is always assigned female at birth, there’s no AMAB enby rep too lol
My question is why they should feel the need to pander to begin with. It's a video game set in a damn fantasy world. We don't need to shoehorn as many demographics into the game as possible just so we can call ourselves "inclusive". If it fits in well with the context of the story itself, then that's one thing - but this just feels so forced.
Most non-binary people are in fact assigned female at birth even in real life, the main issue is why trans/non-binary/gay people need to be represented in games which make no sense for them to be in, especially medieval fantasy settings. If it was a game like cyberpunk it would fully make sense. It's another story for simulation games such as sims 4 where it panders to most people and in my opinion it should, as it's a life simulation. It isn't the case here. I'm a lesbian but I wouldn't expect to see a lesbian married couple in a medieval setting nor should there be. Plus taash saying outright she's nonbinary is stupid, and akin to saying 'I'm neurodivergent', it doesn't make sense to include modern terms in a medieval fantasy setting because it ruins immersion. Not only that, her storyline is shallow, that scene with her mom we've seen a million times in other forms of media and doesn't tell the player anything new.
notice how it isn't taash who corrects her. that is part of their ideology. it's not up to the confused person to correct people. it's up to the allies.
This character is so dumb it so crazy for scary accurate it is. She wants people to understand but why does she get the last breadstick even if it her fav who cares why carter to her? Also she terrible disrespectful to the "corpse mage" he askes time and time again not to be called a corpse mage he clearly doesn't identify as it and they even make a joke about her calling him a corpsefucker. Just like the real like version entitled wants everything and doesn't care about what other feels
>10 situps show the other person you mean it >Never specify what "it" is Wew, absolutely brilliant. I would run out of this room screaming at the top of my lungs.
You ever notice how Taash is just sitting there like they're not asking Isabella to do that Like ik people think Taash is disrespectful and like yeah with the Neve Emmrich convos they are (they apologize in both conversations btw and yet no one brings that up) but like with correcting people on their pronouns they never yelled about it or anything Taash as a character isn't the problem the writing is
Another thing I don't see brought up is how the other companions taash starts off rocky with they later get along with Like depending on dialogue options later in game taash tells emmrich that he can have their skull when they die they do become friends
This is an actual...cutscene in a video game...Also why did Ballera do a Bharv when she didn't 'misgender' anyone? This is a power trip that they desperately want uncontested. I mean don't worry about me mis-gendering you, but I will still think your a lecturous tw"£t.

>the type of woman that stole Qunari's sacred relic, getting them shipwrecked, then having a city that never asked for them deal with them for 3 years hoping that they don't explode and murder them all (they did)
>when said Qunari exploded Hawke (you) had once chance to calm them down before they started storming the city which was to get that damn relic back and Isabela being amazing person that she is agrees to do it - except she doesn't because she tricks you and steals that relic once more while running away with it which to nobody's surprise results in Qunari starting to slaughter everyone left and right
>(Optional) assuming you had friendly relationship with her she shall return to give the tome back however she shall only do this once everything above already happened and city's leader has been beheaded by Qunari and the damage was beyond done to the city
>by the way the default state of 2 was that she never returned at all so... lol
So, ignoring that dear Izzy by canon left city to burn and let us go with outcome in which she did come back: How many push-ups she did for all this?
Trans people literally don't exist. Transgender is not a real thing you can be. It's male or female, there's no option to change it.
Bro not even queer people like this scene
It's just the minority obnoxious ones
Trans people need to realise no one gives a shit about their delusions
They misgender themselves😂
THATS your take away? You misgendered the scene
This ain’t the Isabela I know. The REAL Isabela would derail the subject by making a sex joke and then moving on to the next topic.
As a queer person I cringed.
As a non binary person, I fucking cringed lmao
@@NerdHerdForLife😂JFC
Oh look, a non-binary and a queer person acting like being those makes their opinion more valid.
Nothing new.
Wait, 'every time I misgender someone I do 10 push-ups' sounds actually like an amazing workout plan. Gonna get really buffed soon
I feel like the dialogue is a little robotic
That's the least of their worries, lol
"What do we do when we mess up?" Apparently we talk the way a creep talks to a kindergartner.
I like it how none of your choices in this dialogue affect anything. You might get one extra phrase if you're lucky.
Allow me to speak for everyone for a moment... "Ew."
You don't speak for me.

If this is what Dragon Age is going to be like going forward, consider me uninterested.
Don't worry, this will be the end of the franchise, and the last gasps of Bioware as a studio. EA is going to give em the Old Yeller treatment after this flop
Oh trust me this is their last game
They are shutting down their studio after this one
I doubt there will be another DA game after this one. Dragon Age is dead.
These were the most awful 6 minutes of my life. If this is the future of gaming, I'm selling my pc.
Am I watching The View?
Underrated comment right here !!
This is pretty good actually! I always find myself unable to kill off party members at key plot moments. But this way it’s like a slasher movie. It’s fine if they all die. I’m just curious to see how.
Sara says hi (well no she’d say something cringey as hell)
lol. Isabela only does 5 push-ups and then later after Taash dies, refers to Taash as she.
You can tell a group of 30-40 year old millennials with thick glasses, beards and balding patterns developed this.
They're the kinds of people to say "Yas queen, slay" when their girlfriend's boytoy runs someone over
No, liberals developed this.. don't insult my age bracket, I want no association with this degeneracy.
Actually if you had a brain you'd know mostly women wrote this dialogue, and any men that were involved were NOT the way you described 😂 if anything they have pink Mohawks and 0 muscle definition
+ fat white women
All of them in Canada
Excuse you, there were definitely some females with blue hair and pronouns in there too
The issue for me is, Isabela doesn't seem to be the type of people who care about this kind of things, it is out of character.
They did isabela's appearance better over time, her looks improving
Tell me this isn't targeted towards children without telling me.
I'm someone who thinks most people make to big of a deal about DEI in games but this is insane and it isn't the only scene.
Where is the "shut the fuck up you lunatic ' dialogue option?
I'm half-expecting Isabela to look at the audience, breaking the fourth wall, and say "Everybody got that?" (like Dark Helmet in 'Spaceballs').
"Lets bring Isabela back for a cameo!"
"Great then she can make a reference to the plays choice Hawke and if they are alive or romanced or not!"
"No instead I think she can be used as a vehicle for pathetic, narcissistic and delusional virtue signalling about 'not making it about yourself' when you upset someone who is 'making it all about themselves' with their delusions."
"........will she even mention about Varric?"
I'm non-binary and I think this dialogue is patronising and gross
Five options of dialogue.
“Great job.”
“Exercise and self improvement!”
“Are you okay, Tasha?”
“That’s open minded!”
“Why not just say sorry?”
All the dialogue is the same.
im so sorry cod guy (thats the only community i know you from) for you having to endure this
thanks
This feels like some writer's revenge power fantasy that they wrote instead of going to therapy and dealing with their emotions like an adult. The equivalent of writing thinly veiled caricatures of everyone who bullied you in high school getting put into saw traps
Why is everybody talking like a character from a 00's American sitcom?
There’s nothing wrong with trans characters but even I as a binary trans woman feel like they’re only pandering towards a small minority within this already small community.. nonbinary people.
You don’t see many binary trans people in games or their identities are left ambiguous. It’s annoying. I have nothing against nonbinary people but every nonbinary token character in games is always assigned female at birth, there’s no AMAB enby rep too lol
I just find it annoying that they act like being trans makes them better than everyone else
They should just treat the trans character as normal and move on. It's not a personality trait.
We call those people confused, schizophrenic even but hey to each their own
notice how it isn't taash who corrects her.
that is part of their ideology.
it's not up to the confused person to correct people. it's up to the allies.
Good catch
Isabela even breaking the 4th wall to lecture us directly to our face.
Damn the dialogue feels like gender politics described by a preschool teacher
What the actual fuck is this dialogue
This character is so dumb it so crazy for scary accurate it is. She wants people to understand but why does she get the last breadstick even if it her fav who cares why carter to her? Also she terrible disrespectful to the "corpse mage" he askes time and time again not to be called a corpse mage he clearly doesn't identify as it and they even make a joke about her calling him a corpsefucker. Just like the real like version entitled wants everything and doesn't care about what other feels
This conversation looks very very modern, that it leaves the very essence of medieval rpg fantasy
>10 situps show the other person you mean it
>Never specify what "it" is
Wew, absolutely brilliant. I would run out of this room screaming at the top of my lungs.
Some fanfics have better dialogue than this.
My Immortal has better dialogue than this
So... even Taash's mother gets confused when she tells Rook to "Take care of her"?
They had to destroy Dragon age...
Just say “sorry”, People make mistakes. Also, she looks like a woman to me.
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
later in the game, isabella refers to taash as a she.
The writers are lazy or stupid
I don’t care how you identify this was terrible writing, people don’t talk like that.
Not if it was the last game ever made
I dunno, I feel that they very realistically captured the mentality of ‘those’ kind of people.
You ever notice how Taash is just sitting there like they're not asking Isabella to do that
Like ik people think Taash is disrespectful and like yeah with the Neve Emmrich convos they are (they apologize in both conversations btw and yet no one brings that up) but like with correcting people on their pronouns they never yelled about it or anything
Taash as a character isn't the problem the writing is
Another thing I don't see brought up is how the other companions taash starts off rocky with they later get along with Like depending on dialogue options later in game taash tells emmrich that he can have their skull when they die they do become friends
Diversity and representation is all well and good, but this was like watching an episode of Sesame Street.
Taash gotta be the worst LGBT+ written character ever.
man, this game would be so fucking funny if it was a parody of the series, but no, the writers were serious about it.
You bumped into me and spilled my coffee.
I'm sorry.
No you're not, not unless you pull a Barv.
Why they're forcing the dialog to just accept it 😂. Why is there no 'that's stupid' option 🤣
Inquisition handeled this soooooooooo much better 😂
I hate them all.
Worst designs for the qunari in dragon age history
I waited 10 years for this game… i don’t want to live on this planet anymore
No one can convince me that this is not satire
This is an actual...cutscene in a video game...Also why did Ballera do a Bharv when she didn't 'misgender' anyone? This is a power trip that they desperately want uncontested. I mean don't worry about me mis-gendering you, but I will still think your a lecturous tw"£t.
You are allowed to write swears on the internet, it is okay
Thanks for uploading my daily dose of suffering
Is it possible to kill my companions?
yes, just don't do any of their companion quests and they all die in the end
@ perfect I see three sacrifices in this video
This is so cringe. It’s incredibly stupid people get so upset over accidentally misgendering and this kissing ass push-up scene of Isabela makes me regret romancing her as Hawke.
Is this a f**king joke?
This is what modern video games has come to? We went from “finish the fight” midnight launches for Halo 3 with your best friend to this?
"So kids, what lesson did we learn today?" ahh dialogue
It is comforting to see that people have an issue with the terrible writing and not lgbtq+ stuff. But yeah the writing for these scenes is trash.
Why did they drag poor Morrigan AND Isabella into this mess?
Oh my God this is so gay my estrogen is rising
Claire Russell from CP2077, Krem from The Inquisition, those are good chars, their gender is part of their personality and not pushed everywhere. This is... really strange.
2:10 Well, "Isabella" is doing virtually thing she criticize.
My mom stepped on my toe about a month ago, so she bought me a brand-new purple Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae.
