The doors will be hard to shut until the glass makes an impression on the new seals. The new seals are thicker because they haven't been "pressed" or "contoured" to the window glass yet.
@tkdterp8 Over time, the seal will form to the shape of the glass. When the doors are closed, the glass puts constant pressure at the contact points, which eventually get softer and pressed in.
They did not line up with the original holes. The mirrors are $20 from Amazon and I just got them so I could get the car on the road. The two small holes I drilled for the cheap mirror will be covered up by the base of the factory mirrors whenever I swap them
Did you have trouble getting your windows to fit in the rubbers? My rubber is way too hard for the windows to seal against what brand did you use and did you have any problems
I have a 88 Cutlass. I just installed the roofrail seal on the drivers side. Now the window doesn’t want to go up with the door closed. Did you run into that same problem?
I did not, but I have read of complaints where aftermarket seals don’t compare to OEM. The window and entire door can be adjusted to better fit the fresh seals. A lot of work, I know. Just make sure your gaps align and latch still work afterwards.
Rawbreed, you are going to have to adjust your window most likely outward because the new seal is thicker than the old one, so it's rubbing and grabbing the window as it goes up.

@@grandam i have heard it is critical to keep working the doors opening and closing

Good job. Now you will be able to hear that turbo spool while cruising around. This video will make my Malibu install easier, thanks.
Thank you for the recommendation brother! Totally forgot to install the tracks haha, it happens to the best of us!
Happy to help; it got me too! The body looks so good without it
I had no idea what the window seal(sp) track was until now. Thanks for that.
Thanks i needed to see how to do that
Nice work
Great work!!!! I always dread doing these.
Thanks, I never hear anything good about them 😂
Thanks for this video 🎉❤

How did you do the side mirror? Holes line up from the originals?

Lil bit, I used GBodyParts and Mike Monte’s with success. I have had to adjust the window to get it to close all the way
Hey Bro ! New to channel, I have sunroof leaks. Have you have any problems or replace seals on that.
Welcome! Yes I have done a whole astroroof DIY video. Check it out when you have time
Nice ride bro. I am redoing my 87 cutlass what seats do you have in there. Also what bracket you use to mount them.
Thanks bro, using seats out of a 08-12 Chevy Malibu. I cut and re welded the Malibu brackets to fit
I noticed you were using flat paint. Was that to use it like a base coat?
For these trim pieces, SEM flat black would be the final coat
@@CRASHBERN SEM is the stuff to use but I was more talking about the side pieces on the B piller
@@stevenbeckett8633 oh, yes I used it as a basecoat. I went back and used a gloss clear to match the body
@@CRASHBERN gotcha. Did it come out good after you sanded it?
@@stevenbeckett8633 much better the second time around. I sanded back to bare metal and redid everything
This is great stuff thanks new Sub
Awesome, thank you!

@@CRASHBERN do you feel they are good quality?
I’ve used them both, very good quality
Does your digital dash work ?
The dash works except for the mph section. It needs to be rebuilt by Casper
@@CRASHBERN I Have the same issue.
But I can’t see fuel or MPH
