But the fact that his is in a marvel film means that he is able to act in "larger" film with bigger budgets making it more likely that people will want to go back and watch other films/shows that he cast in.

Also, if the movie even halfway follows the comics backstory, the cloak of levitation is more responding to the good Dr's request rather than him actually doing anything. That sweet style is all cloak baby. I'm sure the Steven has some moves of his own too though.

Yeah, I know. But what it makes sense to me is that this movie is going to be a action packed with visual effects and the cast are very much great. Dr. Strange is one of the Marvel's most popular characters in the comics. I would like to see BLACK PANTHER and Avengers Infinity Wars soon.

That's what they did with Iron man, and it was great. That is the funnest part about watching these movies are watching the superheroes learn how to control their abilities.
Quinn Dombroskie Iron man got a suit pretty early in the movie and spent a decent amount of time perfecting it. I'm worried this movie will be mostly training with one final battle being his awkward entrance into herodom.
you have to tell the origin story, so people understand more about the character.
In my opinion, having read various versions of the Dr. Strange origin story, I actually really like the idea of focusing on his learning of magic. 60 and 60 would be a good balance imo. I'm a sucker for the idea of seeing someone master skills in a movie, particularly with the reality bending and stuff we see here. I love the idea that his power comes from calling on the Vishanti, and the storyline that his training requires him to gain their trust.
Well it is an origin story. But I think Marvel is smart enough not to bore people. It should be an epic movie, looks really good so far.

This film looks really interesting and serious, something Marvel rarely does, except for the Winter Soldier and Netflix shows. But what's even more interesting is that they are exploring the chakra, energy, multiple realities theme when even ancient texts in our world talk about them, the 7 main chakras or energy points in our bodies, and that shows that we as humans can be more powerful than we realise, or what society told us. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing this film.
