But the fact that his is in a marvel film means that he is able to act in "larger" film with bigger budgets making it more likely that people will want to go back and watch other films/shows that he cast in.

In both the comics and the movies, Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. That is an impressive feat for someone who is just an ordinary man, but he has been imbued with so many mystical powers and abilities, that few characters can match up against the Sorcerer Supreme.

Also, if the movie even halfway follows the comics backstory, the cloak of levitation is more responding to the good Dr's request rather than him actually doing anything. That sweet style is all cloak baby. I'm sure the Steven has some moves of his own too though.

5 years ago I watched this trailer thinking I would love Strange even though I have never read any comics of him. 5 Years later here I am obsessed with him that become my favorite Marvel superhero alive.

also similar to full metal alchemists in a way and Fairy tail used the circles more in the beggining then Natsu somehow lost them lol but ye hav to agreee the visuals are amazing and since these are comic book adaptations i am hoping for good anime movie adaptations in the future cos haz lots of potential.

This movie was one of the last great marvel movies that didn't fall through the generic marvel movie formula
I somewhat disagree. It still followed the marvel formula, but it took its own spin on it. It's still very marvel-y, though
But I think it was one of the last great movies because it focused on its characters more than its action. Every character is realistic or at least developed in a sensible way. Even Kaecilius, who on the outside seems to be just another copy-paste solo film villain, wants to save the world. He truly believed that Dormammu would save them, and he was a good guy in his own way. That's what modern marvel lacks: Character development (that isn't just evil to good lol)

Not even just the CGI, everything about this movie is better.
The characters, the (eldritch) magic, the themes, the arcs, the trailer, the exposition, the lore. Even the "travelling dimensions/multiverse" scene was better in the first.
Wasn't sold on the first trailer, but man this one was awesome. Can't tell now if I am more excited for this, Rogue One or Suicide Squad, but men the rest of the year look amazing

This film looks really interesting and serious, something Marvel rarely does, except for the Winter Soldier and Netflix shows. But what's even more interesting is that they are exploring the chakra, energy, multiple realities theme when even ancient texts in our world talk about them, the 7 main chakras or energy points in our bodies, and that shows that we as humans can be more powerful than we realise, or what society told us. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing this film.

That's what they did with Iron man, and it was great. That is the funnest part about watching these movies are watching the superheroes learn how to control their abilities.
Quinn Dombroskie Iron man got a suit pretty early in the movie and spent a decent amount of time perfecting it. I'm worried this movie will be mostly training with one final battle being his awkward entrance into herodom.

In my opinion, having read various versions of the Dr. Strange origin story, I actually really like the idea of focusing on his learning of magic. 60 and 60 would be a good balance imo. I'm a sucker for the idea of seeing someone master skills in a movie, particularly with the reality bending and stuff we see here. I love the idea that his power comes from calling on the Vishanti, and the storyline that his training requires him to gain their trust.
Well it is an origin story. But I think Marvel is smart enough not to bore people. It should be an epic movie, looks really good so far.
