I am looking for a watertight solution to address the gaps between the RamBox and the tailgate. Stumbled across your video. Not talking about the large opening into the bed caused by the gaps between the RamBox and the tailgate seems a bit disingenuous. I have no doubt this is a fine product, Frankly I like the fold up option to expose the complete bed. Other commenters expressed concerns about the seal and the weatherability of these styles of covers. They are probably like myself, searching for a semi water tight environment. You talk about the difficulty in sealing truck bed covers and the challenge of sealing the split in a multi-function Tailgate... that's nice... but completely skipping the glaring problem of the RamBox tailgate gap... not nice IMO.
If you are looking water tight, you are out of luck. We add extra seals when we do our installs and we still get a small amount of leaks. It is the nature of the beast.
The factory seal is just OK, The triple seal on the cover is much better. We have at times upgrade the factory seals on the trucks to improve it from water getting in. This helps , but does not keep all the water out. Rambox with the multi function tailgates are very hard to keep all the water out. We rate them with our cover at 97 out of 100 for water.
@@tono002 I have the multi function tailgate, I went with a soft cover. The brackets in the front of the bed have to be replaced with a lower profile bracket in order for any cover to be installed. The factory brackets are for added support for the mf tailgate & they inhibit the cover from laying flat. C&H will inform you of the bracket kit. I replaced the factory brackets but I kept them in case I sell the truck I would want it to be with stock equipment. hope this helps.

@matrazar, if you want a water-tight cover, you need to cover the entire vehicle in plastic sheeting.
How is the seal at the split tail gate crease?

Chris, do you recommend the MX4 or the F1? I know they are very similar...just asking your opinion.
I like the MX4 a little better.
does this cover work without rambox but with a multi function tailgate?
Yes, but it requires some more parts.
Can you do a BAK REVOLVER X4S on this Ram with the multifunction tailgate? Thank you

Can you make a video after a rainy day to see how much water gets in
We only have a small amount of time with the truck before it goes back to the customer. Plus I have no plans of doing any videos in the rain.
