I'll tell you one thing i've tried Brita and pur and zero water and zero water blows the other two away hands down .. its the cleanest , crispest tasting water ive tasted in a long time .. i love mine ...
You're supposed to run some water through the new filter before drinking. Don't drink the water that went through a fresh filter. Run a half gallon or more through it first. Then it shouldn't taste weird.
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials Hi, according to Zerowater, there is no need to run water through a new filter and discard it. As long as the water reads 000 on the TDS meter, it is ready to drink.
What I like about it removing everything is that I make beer so I can remove everything then add back minerals to get a specific composition I want or need.
I switched to Zero Water Filter a couple years ago, I so much prefer Zero Water!! Filters are a bit pricier but they do filter so much more! Once again another top notch review by you!!!!
I have used this filters for years and recently bought a set of 12 from chinese seller in ebay. They were defective and I am worried they were counterfeit . Only by from their website, I love this filters
To update on this comment The Chinese seller from ebay refund me the whole amount of money without answer any of my questions. Just saying so everyone notice. Don buy filters in the cheap
Thank you so much for this review. I have been using the Brita for over a year and am very happy with it. A buddy of mine likes the Zero Water and I have wondered about it. However, I think I will stick with Brita.
We live in Chicago where most of our water pipes are super old. Our building's also from the 1920s and has lead pipes. Zero water is the only one that filters out lead. Does anyone know how to disassemble the spigot to give it a good cleaning?
I'm in Tampa and we are hooked to the City of Tampa water supply. My home is about 60 years old & TDS is about 385-410. My son lives 1.5 miles from me, his apartment complex is about 15-20 yesterday old.. I think. His water is consistently around 425.
The water pour too slowly for a Water dispenser. That is the major problem with this product. The filter is great and the meter is great. The should be an options to have the water pour gently or gush out fastly like with the Brita water dispenser
This is great the first water filter system that actually uses a TDS meter, I've tried one or two other systems that claimed to clean the water only to find they don't. The weird thing is that I spent a long time trying to find a system that actually tested the water with a TDS meter over the past year or so and not once did this filter system come up in my random searches, the only reason I have found this filter is because it was pointed out to me in a store so I decided to do a little searching directly stating the name of the product. So what is going on? Why didn't this product come up in any of my random searches for water filters or PPM tested water searches or many other various search titles. Anyway this looks good will definitely work out cheaper than distilling the water especially now electricity has become so expensive.
Demineralised water is thought to be bad for you according to the medical profession. Natural spring water is mineralised as it passes through rocks in the Earth, rain water is demineralised and is preferred by some plant life, as most plants get their minerals from the ground and not rain.
I bought one but the water tastes very very acidic \i almost can't drink it. I don't know if there is anything I can add to the water to make it taste better.
I bought a 6 cup Zerowater pitcher a few months ago. The water tastes great, but because my tap water is crap, it has a TDS reading of .450, I used up the filters pretty quickly. So, I thought if I bought a tap water filter that had filters which were much cheaper than the Zerowater filters it would make the Zerowater filter last longer. NOT ! As I said the tap water reads .450. The tap water AFTER it went through the Brita tap filter read .450. The Brita tap filter did NOTHING to filter the water ! The Zerowater pitcher alone gives a reading of .000. Conclusion? Brita is absolutely crap !
I trully dont believe its 000, i have done many, probably hundreds of tests... even reverse osmosis system wont give you 000... If she/ you said it its 20-30... i would say wow, it is impressive... now...? Sounds false, it is either chemically neautralised conductivity in the water or something else.
I feel the same way. Although when I tested my filtered water from ZeroWater the water had no acidic taste and the meter read 001. Its impossible for it to be 000.
S.L.S - That’s because Brita filters don’t do anything. They’re absolute crap and extremely overrated. They don’t filter water. They simply “remove” any smells or odors using charcoal. That’s it. They don’t remove TDS.
Asta Staniute ....LOL. You don’t believe it even though the TDS meter proves it. Very silly logic. That’s why they provide their own TDS meter to prove to you that it filters out dissolved solids. A TDS meter is a TDS meter. It measures dissolved solids. That’s its only job. There is no way they would be able to “fake” a 0 TDS.
The most balanced and "natural" pH is 7.4. So aiming for 7 is aiming for acidic water. Not advised. At least from a biochemical perspective. All the things one may read about getting more acidic water is kinda bunk since it'll just make your cells yearn for more chemically basic substances to counteract the acidity. Generally between 7.2-7.4 is what I'd personally aim for in my water.
The stupid reservoir is a beep beep to come off...yes this vid makes it look simple...ours is thin and tight inside AND we need to use a butter knife EACH time to get it OUT!!! It is a big FLAW in the design, at least on ours. I don't know...did we get one of their older designs maybe? We haven't had it that long. BUT it really SUCKS cause I can never clean it myself! If I find another brand comparable to this, I will purchase it ONLY because of this ridiculous reservoir design.
I bought the same big zero water dispenser as in this video. I bought it last week and I am taking it back !!!! The water tastes yucky!!! And it flooded my fridge!!!! It must have started leaking the day I put it in there ! It flooded everything from the bottom of the 2 shelves below it !!! Water was everywhere and everything was soaked !!!! Water was even in the drawer that you put veggies in !!! I am taking it back and going back to buying cases of bottled water!!! I was trying to get away from plastic, even though this thing is made of plastic. I don't have time to keep checking to see if it is leaking if I get another one! I drink lotsssssss of water , so back to the cases I go! But at least I tried!! Thumbs down to the zero water thingy!! 🤮🤮🤮🥶🥶👎👎👎
should of shown your TDS readings before using in both filters so we have a better understanding of how much the brita actually removes where I live the tap water has a TDS reading of .175 so 300+ didn’t sound like ok even for just taste.. haa
I don’t know if you’re still looking at comments but I just bought one of these and the water doesn’t fill up more than what you show in the video. Is it supposed to fill up the whole way?
Best thing I did buying this product. I thought the meter was a trick but if you use it with water unfiltered by the Zero filter it will definitely show numbers representing whatever is in that water. Using the meter on water filtered with Zero shows zero as long as the filter has not been compromised with those elements in the unfiltered water. Even water filtered through my Britta will show around 140 or so. It's amazing to filter the Britta filtered water with the Zero and measure it again to now show Zero! Fantastic.
I use two systems. I filter through Zero Water first, then run it through Pur. Why? Mainly to be extra safe, but also because Zero Water removes fluoride and neither Pur nor Brita do. I don’t mess with fluoride. That’s some nasty IQ destroying stuff. Total annual cost for both is about $200. I used to spend over $300/yr on bottled water so I’m pleased with this process for now. I think I’ll eventually install a reverse osmosis system though.
I love my Zero water filter taste and I have bottles I keep in my fridge for company to drink and they always comment how good it tastes. I guess it’s a personal preference, I have never cared for Brita water taste, my sister has a Brita and I like mine better. Oh well to each his own. But I would highly recommend the Zero pitcher 🦋. I wish I knew earlier that you could recycle the filters, I’ll be doing that from here on out. I also bought a faucet filter for my sink and then used that instead of right out of the tap to pour in my Zero filter and it did cause zero filter to last a lot longer, keeping the cost down, but I feel zero filter is absolutely well worth the money.
So the 0 TDS means it removes things like: chlorine, antibiotic, pesticides, microorganisms? And does it removes heavy elements like lead, mercury, arsenic…etc? Does it have a UVC disinfection light against bacteria? Does it have a “time to change filter” indicator?
How does her Britta filter measure 3.2? What are those particles? Our tap water (which was determined to have too much lead in it to be safe for consumption) measures 1.52. I'm confused about what the TDS is measuring.
I should have washed mine before using it. See pieces of white plastic from the manufacturing process. Manual says to pour water directly into the filter; the illustration shows water being poured into the opposite side. I emailed zero water and got a non-sensical answer that included do not pour water directly into the filter. Ok...
So ZW website says the meter should read 133 for my zip code. The tap water actually read 55, and slowly climbs higher. I've had it for 10 months and the filtered water is still reading 0.
The zero water doesn't have a taste your just use to drinking the water that comes out of your tap. So when you remove all of the tds your not use to the waste without all the other stuff in it!!
Perhaps there’s a lot of copper in your water if it is a lighter green that resembles what happens to copper when it is exposed to water after a period of time. If it is more of a plant like green, it could be a form of algae, but I would really go with copper especially if you do clean it regularly.
I drink water to stay hydrated only, the zero water tastes the best for me and any nutrients or minerals I need I'll get from other sources. Plus zero water filters are available for Brita style pitchers. It's a better mousetrap after all is said and done. Plus I retain high levels of iron and the zeroWater seems to help in that regard.
I live Toronto GTA and our faucet water is around 140 by testing it with zero water tester. It is true it's winter. I expect higher values in summer. Honestly, I don't like the taste of the zero water pitcher. I prefer Brita which I find optimal.
I don't care how much the filter cost, I love my Zero filtered water. Love how it taste.
Thanks for sharing 😀
How much are the filter
Same
Me too
How much does it cost for the filter
I'll tell you one thing i've tried Brita and pur and zero water and zero water blows the other two away hands down .. its the cleanest , crispest tasting water ive tasted in a long time .. i love mine ...
thank u so much. ur the 1st person who actually TAUGHT me. in fact i couldn't figure out how 2 use the tester until i listened 2 u
👍😀
I just received my new square pitcher. No instructions. I almost got it all correct. Thank you for your help! Maria~
You're supposed to run some water through the new filter before drinking. Don't drink the water that went through a fresh filter. Run a half gallon or more through it first. Then it shouldn't taste weird.
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials That makes sense.
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials Hi, according to Zerowater, there is no need to run water through a new filter and discard it. As long as the water reads 000 on the TDS meter, it is ready to drink.
What about your shower water, toilet water, laundry water? How do you treat it with your Zero machine?
she is a woman she wont understand,,, let her keep drinking that brita water... its ok if lead gets to her half witted brain cells, they might help
That is totally incorrect.

Thank you for this video. I was having trouble understanding this new filter.

Don buy filters in the cheap
walk into walmart the ones on the shelf are 11.49... thats one quality i wont cheat on
I think zero water tastes great! (I haven't tried britta)
No contest, Zero water taste much more wholesome !
How about running the water through the filter a few times before you tase it?
oh and it seems to take a LONG time to fill, is that normal?
Why is the filter positioned towards the back. What if you position it towards the front of the filter?
great review thanks, would be good to know about recycling the filter..
are you able to look at the ph level of zero water?
Thank you so much for this review. I have been using the Brita for over a year and am very happy with it. A buddy of mine likes the Zero Water and I have wondered about it. However, I think I will stick with Brita.

Really good detail information provided for comman man.
Thanks 😀👍
323 tds after a brita filter. Mine is less than that straight from the tap
It tastes like it had more solids? What might that taste like?
Lol
For the tests she should of tested tap water to also compare that.
you don't have to flush the filter in the zero filtration system???
Where can we buy the reverse osmosis testing package?
323 TDS?? My tap water is around 35 TDS. Never seen water that high before. Wow
My tap is 145 and i thought that was bad, until now. Lol
35? LOL you obviously don't live in California's central valley. Try 300-500 easily!
I'm in Tampa and we are hooked to the City of Tampa water supply. My home is about 60 years old & TDS is about 385-410. My son lives 1.5 miles from me, his apartment complex is about 15-20 yesterday old.. I think. His water is consistently around 425.

What is you are using rain water how long dose the filters last ??
Does anyone boil thier water before adding to the zero water filter tank? Could it be added while still hot?
I don't get this. Howcome the one I got says 30 cup?
I bought one but the water tastes very very acidic \i almost can't drink it. I don't know if there is anything I can add to the water to make it taste better.
Key lime
It sounds counterintuitive, but add a bit of lemon juice. Seriously. Source: Masters in Molecular Bio.
How do I remove filter chamber when stuck
Thank you for your help

My brita water has a metallic taste! I hate it

You need minerals in water for it to be healthy, Zero water and Reverse Osmosis is not good for you.

Need to add drinking water minerals to get the taste!
I would prefer Brita.
The white "flooring" is stuck at the time when filter has to be changed. Very frustrating...
Plz do a review on the Breville boss blender
LoL, Zero water is so much better !

Bad thing about zero water is you get almost No iron in your system which is a huge component in your body. Aka nothing but h2O, no nutrients
the lid is terrible... it comes apart.... junk.
old spice
I bought the same big zero water dispenser as in this video.
I bought it last week and I am taking it back !!!!
The water tastes yucky!!!

🤮🤮🤮🥶🥶👎👎👎
This pitcher was horrible!
I prefer the taste of zero but it gives me headaches. went back to brita
This is the best water filter I used ever and I adore the taste!
should of shown your TDS readings before using in both filters so we have a better understanding of how much the brita actually removes where I live the tap water has a TDS reading of .175 so 300+ didn’t sound like ok even for just taste.. haa
Yup I agrees
The disolved solids are very likely measured in Parts per million, not mg's
Part per million=mg/liter

How many gallons is that a year
It does not remove fluoride
@@MassSolarClosers ZeroWater does indeed remove fluoride. Independently tested to do so.
You are very welcome. I have been subcribed to you for quite awhile and always look forward to all your reviews. You are the absolute greatest.
+Steve Barnes Thanks :)
Does the zero water filter have to be refrigerated?
thank you I will stay with the Zero Water
I installed my Zero Water Filter exactly as you did and the water still is not filtering.
I love my Zero water filter taste and I have bottles I keep in my fridge for company to drink and they always comment how good it tastes. I used to use Brita until I got Zero. What a difference! Clean clear water. Yum. Been using Zero for many years now.
The Zero Water spigot leaked. They sent another one, it leaks too. Very disappointing.
i hate arowhead water can you guys recommend zero water regarding taste wise...
The tap on my zero water dispenser leaks. What should I do.

I changed the filter constantly but the plastic container started to get green?? What do you think it’s the problem?
John Sanabria We actually wash it often, but what about the light?

How long does the filter last? When do you know when to change the filter?
I heard that each filter last about 3-5 mouths but idk
My zero pitcher came with a TDS tester. You're supposed to change it when your water measures 006, which I think means 0.60
are you from Trinidad ?
Alicia John no, but I am lol :)
How long does it take to fill the container with filtered water?
Wayyy to long. Mine was dropping in. Packaged it back up to return it
these reviews are awesome
+ll_UNRELECODY_ll Nanephosy Thanks so much :)
+bestkitchenreviews how can afford all these things
this one is a moron,,, brita with a 325,,, really my city water is a 249... most morons dont read the instructions,,, obviously she didnt,,,
