yeah I was about to say the same thing. Like I’m sure there’s SOMEone out there who exists that gets annoyed or mad at a viewer for getting something wrong, not even just with this game, but I don’t think it’s a common occurrence.
Like, yeah, Evelien IS a wonderfully nice and dope ass person, but she isn’t the only one who isn’t gonna get upset at someone for guessing wrong (and now I AM talking about just w/ this game). She is not the only one and doesn’t need to be put in this pedestal. well, she does bc like I said she is an amazing person. but not for just being nice and a decent human. I feel like even she’d say something of the sort…that she’s just being how humans should be.
It’s crazy how things have become so…awful really…that even the smallest thing someone does to be good is applauded…

    • @pencilshavings6290
      @pencilshavings6290 2 года назад +11

@@embadly I agree, it’s just that Evelien is just a genuinely good person. That’s not something you see often in the world. Most people are nice, but typically for their own benefit. She is nice just because that’s who she is, and that’s incredibly refreshing to see. But yes, I agree it’s sad that even the smallest good thing someone does is glorified because it’s less common of an occurrence these days.

Your eye and temple hyperpigmentation sound like something called nevus of ota. It’s very uncommon in caucasians. I, personally, think it could be a residual of previous great ape ancestry. All other extant great apes, except humans, have dark sclera (on average - exception do exist). You might look up the “cooperative eye hypothesis”.

Especially since there are several hyperpigmentation phenotype variants in humans showing our pre-human ancestry. You might want to look up human vestigiality and human evolution. There’s a lot of interesting stuff out there!
I would provide links, but RUclips deletes my comments when I link anything (even scientific journal articles haha). You might even find something you can do that some other people can’t. For example, I can move my ears (slightly) without moving my head, but many people cannot.

      Even family sucks sometimes.
And the thing about life is any one of us or them could pass away tomorrow. Anyone you know and love, anyone who speaks good or bad on you or the things you do, anyone who IS family, etc…,
And my point isn’t to be depressing or mundane. It’s cause given all that, and given that at the end of the day when that does happen to one of us or them, we’re all the same; we all end up in the same place & life winds up being the same ending for all of us and those comments people name shouldn’t matter. Ofc they shouldn’t be said, either, but not everyone does understand the exact thing I’m saying.
At the end of the day, it is what it is. We are all flesh and bones and organs and blood. I know it’s easier said than done to not listen or care about what people say, but I think it’s easier to do so when you think about things this way.
If I cut all my hair off and people hated it, so what. You’ll lose your hair, too, and it won’t be by choice like it was for me. And if I feel good with or about it, it has nothing to do with anyone else. Cause life is too short to not be happy or at least TRY to be. Life is ESPECIALLY too short to care about what people say. I just laugh at them lol. Never let them see you fumble.
If you not fuckin, feedin, or financing me, your opinion does 👏🏼 not 👏🏼 matter 👏🏼. Women with shaved heads ARE powerful. And they’re badass.

If you ever wonder about the train announcement voice - it is close to the original tunnelbana (metro) announcements in Stockholm, HOWEVER I've got a fun story for all y'all - the destinations (Ropsten and Mörby centrum) are up North. Now, usually the trains which are heading North are announced by a female voice, whereas the male voice is announcing the Southern ones! Of course, I have never visited every single station on these two lines, so that might be bullcrap and there might be a station where this voice is announcing these lines, but having learnt that a while back, I now feel like it's the only place I can share that knowledge - so enjoy :D

A few years ago when she went to get her eyes checked (she hasn't been in years so she had no idea what kind of vision defect she had but it was pretty strong), the lady doing her tests was so fascinated because my mom has a minus in one eye and a plus in the other. And also one other thing I can't remember right now but apparently it makes it very rare and she asked my mom if she could use her case for a doctorate thesis she was currently writing. So that was very cool!
Another interesting thing is that one of my irises is always bigger than the other eye and I also have 2 different vision defects in my eyes but they're both minuses so I think it might be the genes.

Whoa having plus and minus is rare???? I've had a few friends who've had it haha. I told my optometrist that I don't have dyslexia (taken tests for it and everything) but for some reason, when lines are put together, I can't count them or make out how many lines are there. Ex. if I put down IIIII, if I hadn't known that I'd presed the key 5 times, I'd have no idea there were five lines there even if I counted them. It's a bigger problem than it sounds, and my optometrist was so fascinated with this that he said he'd go and tell his colleagues about it as well and pretty much said the same thing Evelin's doctor said. I know it's not anything cool like in Evelin's or you and your mother's story, but I thought I might share since you shared yours hehe :)

Did you know that it's actually believed in certain cultures across the world that birthmarks are scars left over from a previous life?
A child in India, who was born with a strange splattering of birthmarks on his chest, once was able to identify family members of a man who died some time prior to his birth in a village some ways further from where the boy was born, and when they examined his birthmarks, they correlated with the deceased man's wounds from a shotgun that caused his death.
Not to sound morbid here, but if this fascinating belief were proven real, your birthmarks actually look like they could have been the result of blunt force trauma to the head in a previous life.

As someone who has buzzed off their hair, it's nice to feel the breeze and not having to worry about your hair becoming knotted, but as your hair starts growing back you can begin to look like a demented baby bird.
*Question for Gab:* Have/Would you dye your hair and what color(s) was/would it be?

They're called loops of axenfeld where nerves peirce through the sclera before diving back down. And they can sometimes be surrounded by pigment. A fairly normal finding. Just a very dramatic presentation. You have them in both eyes but for whatever reason you have extra pigment on that side of your face so they show up more dramatically. Noticable loops of axenfeld are typically more common in more darkly complected ppl but can show up in lighter complections too just less commonly.

To the developer of Observation Duty, please try to add a normal size TARDIS in certain rooms in some of the levels. This includes the past games. For example, in the fifth game, you could place the TARDIS in the "apartment" (stairway, entrance; alley 1) or the "metro" (entrance, lobby; platform)
To Gab: your doing really great with this game with help from chat.

On birthmarks and skin pigment: I often wonder what it’d look like if someone had progressing vitiligo and it progressed over a birth mark. Would it erase it? Would it change colour at all?

Love love love these videos! And thank you for sharing the uniqueness of your eyes! I've heard that there's some mythology about birthmarks being how your spirit died in precious lives. Perhaps you were a warrior and died in glorious battle! (I'm thinking Viking?) Haha! Hope you (and others reading this comment) have a great day!!

Hello! I watch Sean's channel and I commented on one of his videos recommending a game, but it's been brought to my attention by a friend that the game I recommended might be one that you would enjoy even more. It's called Duskwood and it was made by a small German gaming company called Everbyte. It's a mobile murder mystery type game, and it's a bit similar to Simulacra. I finished playing it yesterday and it is by far my all time favorite game, but it's criminally underrated. It would mean a lot of you played it, and I'm sure Everbyte would appreciate it a lot as well. They have some other games too if you want to check those out.

Fun fact: In some cultures, birthmarks are believed to be physical marks left over from how you died in another live. i.e. a birthmark on the shoulder could suggest someone was stabbed/shot and died in their past life.

I went from having a shaved head to growing it out to donate it. After donating my hair i got my head shaved again. Months latter i missed having long hair so i started growing out again. I got it to about 8 inches in length, (minimum to donate is 13inches) and ended up chocking on my hair in my sleep. The experience scared me so bad I went back to having a shaved head ever since. I have very oily hair and had to wash it often with long hair. Now that it's shaved, i still have to wash it every 2-3 days-ish due to how oily it gets. I still miss having long hair to play with.

On the topic of eyes. I grew up being told the reason why my eyes are yellow, green and blue is because they are hazel. It wasn't until I was in my mid 20s when I found out I have central heterochromia.
My older brother has one eye that's half brown and half green.

I believe that your birthmarks are how you died and had an untimely death in your past life before this one. Like some people when young and remember have a birthmark in the same place that their body has been found. For example a kid showed where they were buried and police dug up a body with a bludgeoned wound to the head in the exact same place as the kid’s birthmark.

I had never heard of birthmarks in the eye, that is really a fascinating trait. The only random thing I have is that my pinky fingers form a Y shape when put together (top part of both fingers bends inwards).
I was not expecting a bit of lore with the game. I hope the creator keeps adding more over time.

I read a theory on tumblr from some writers that those born with birthmarks have lived before and those birthmarks indicate how they previously died... Morbid but I thought it was a neat idea. The most prominent thing I have on my body is a flat medium sized mole on the exact middle of my left ankle, as though perfectly in line with my tibia.

They eye thing is super interesting. I had never seen it until I started teaching English in Korea a couple of years ago and I've had maybe 4 or 5 students that have the same dark spots? And that's 1st grade students too. I guessed that it's more common genetically here (than where I'm from at least).

Have you ever been tested for Osteogenesis Imperfecta or "Brittle Bone Disease?" It's a genetic mutation where the bones in the person are generally less dense than others. Those spots in your eyes remind of it and I know it has several different Types with the most common one being less severe than the rest. Anyways, love the upload as always! Even if I am late!
