As other commentors have already said, nice job and demonstration of patience. My stack is similar with the exceptions of using two sheets of dollar store drawing paper on the top side and bottom side, and old tempered glass shelves as heat pressing plates top and bottom. I also use additional glass shelves in my cold press stack. They can be found in the second hand stores pretty cheap, and even for free if you catch friends and neighbors throwing out old coffee tables or media centers.
Thank you I much appreciate that! Yes, it’s a matter of complete patience, the skill comes later! I’m not sure how CGC does their pressing, but if they don’t do multiple pressing, you just won’t get those fine results.
YES! I remember ROM fondly even thought I turned 18 when #1 hit the local newsstands. I got to talk with writer Bill Mantlo'sbrother once. After sadly Bill had that terrible acccident. I looked up Mike's name in the area for a listing. I found three and took a shot. To my surprise a few hours later he called me back. My theory about Bill's Rom were dead on. Bill, Mike and myself. Like most kids who grew up on the late 1960's-mid 80's. But mainly 60's/70's. Had monster shows on every Saturday night and espeically in Oct of every year. They'd show some great classic monster and SF movies. In 79, we had Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactic, and of course Star Wars. And StarTrek was back in Dec of 79 too. Bill merged two lea characters Klaatu a human like Alien with GORT a 8 ft tall robot space cop. Like GL corps made ROM like Klaatu but merged the characters together. The Dire Wraiths were kind of swiped from. Invasion of the Body snatchers (1956) and the 78 remake. As we;; from the Xendomorphs from ALIEN (1979) and Aliens (1986).I myself always prefered the newsstands editions. I hate the direct copies. Because of the smaller issue numbering/nlack diamond and the black line across the barcode too. Mainly even back then once bagged/boarded it was much harder to see through the glare of the comic bags. Once they ere bagged/boarded and in a comic box. Without having to pull out the bag to see the issue numbers. ruclips.net/video/K6iF5sINVns/видео.html
