We aren’t full time on the field just when we can, I found your channel looking for fencing tips (how your uncle did it was first video I saw) as there’s always fencing to do and also tree and hedge cutting though with hand tools rather than tractor mounted gear. And we make a bit of hay but struggle with weeds in the grass (ragwort, hemlocks, nettles etc) so got one of the ragwort forks based on seeing you using one. So always on look out for any grassland management tips. Land’s on flood plain and drainage not great but we do the best we can - the wet autumn hasn’t helped.
For once it seems your part o the country gettin pounded by rain more than we gettin up here 🙄 badly needin a good frost 👍 Hope you and your family have a great Christmas and a very happy healthy new year Ian 👍👍

Hey Bisket's Owner, would it be helpful to have your barn and paddock areas have concrete instead of your current situation. You'd still have to clean-up, but there would be no surface runoff, and might be easier to clean. In any event, Have a great Christmas to the P family.

Hi to you and yours, As the saying goes a farmers work is never done,especially when you have live stock to tend and take care of,there is not enough hours on a clock ⏰ face and days in a year 📆 there is always something that needs doing on a 🚜🐓🐔🐏🐑🐑🐃🐂🐄,I know you like mushrooms the field mushrooms🍄 🍣🍣🍣have you ever thought of diversifying a little bit by cultivating and growing mushrooms on the farm, ie cultivated mushrooms 🍄🍣🍣🍣,you have all the right raw materials at hand on the farm 🐃♨♨♨ for growing cultivated 🍄mushrooms in a shed,with the price of a punnet of mushrooms they could be a good earner 💷💷 for the farm a bit of diversification,could help the income of the farm,this is just a thought I had as I watched you muck out the pens on your Vlog,it's a thought to have a think about,this is only me thinking allowed to myself,but I though that I should pass to you as you are the farmer,anyway it's time for me to move on,take care and all the best to you and the family.
Damn Ian, I think if you had a scalpel attachment for the front of the skid steer you might be able to do brain surgery. I teach precision car control skills for new teen drivers, and I’m always impressed by anyone who is top notch in controlling their vehicle, whether it’s on a racetrack or in the muck. I love the way you raise the load to make the Mustang “wheelie” when you turn around. Yes, on pavement this reduces tire wear, but in the muck I think you’re just having fun!
Ryan McCormack No Ryan, not unless they get mucky, I don’t trim their backs either as I feed them outside. My personal preference is to supply a clean enough environment ( the Woodchip bed really helps with this) and plenty of constant ventilation.... This way, all my animals keep their summer fly swatters which reduces the Summer stress.
