Because I don't have small areas to work in, I'd definitely choose an articulating loader for its greater visibility, ease of access, smoother operation, vastly less tire wear, and greater reach of loader. With a skid steer adaptor, it can take any skid steer attachment.
I think the skid steer is just more pleasing on the eye and has a nicer cab but they’re both good for the job really, also skid steer is good if you have low door openings
Just a few points 1 - Get a script 2 - Learn said script 3 - On a title with some kind of debate, you could at the very least compare the two 4 - a Some kind of verdict might be nice too That is all.
Not really a fair comparison when you use a full sized articulated with all around tires vs a purpose built cheap skid steer with regular flat tires. They aren't designed for the same conditions you are testing them in... If you have to do many things, the articulated is the clear winner, if you do to many of the same things the skid wins every time, it's far more maneuverable and takes way less actions per minute to get the same result. Apples and oranges.
The skid steer is using CAT controls. Seems to be set up the exactly the same as CAT skid steer, track loaders, and blades. I personally prefer the standard controls. Foot throttle is a waste on any skid steer. Debris builds up inside the mechanism and make the throttle stick. I use skid steers daily building highways in Toronto.
Pivot steer is the best, way better to handle, and drive when loading things on trailers and so on. I tried both amny times,a WeideMann 1070 and a Bobcat 753, and the Bobcat, and the Bobcat is way longer to steer proberbly when loading things on trailers, trucks ex. I would allways choose a pivot steer. :)
@d57702 I don't usually run any skidsteer with any type of foot controls. I prefer Case machines personally. The machines we run are always on full throttle, because it is necessary for the type of work we're doing. Plenty of heavy loads.
Abusly a skidsteer but has to be gehk we run one on our farm foot throttle and all controls on the levers. To se please veiw HOW TO DRIVE A GEHL SKIDSTEER.
@poppaschlong2000 Cat controls are way better much less fatigue and if debris builds up under the throttle are you saying you never have that problem with the "Bobcat" set up? Anyone is anything suck to your boots have to clean that crap out pretty regular. Besides why run a machine wide open all the time and burn a lot more fuel? I often run the throttle a little less than half way and hit the foot throttle when I need the extra juice. Seriously, CAT controls are the way to go!
id take a skid steer. much more versatile. can use many more attachments like the 4 in 1 bucket. dozer blades, and even an excavator attachment. also a there are all wheel steer skid steers search bobcat A770.
It,s a "thin machine" well she,s got to be worth her salary for that comment alone.... well done FW I was reading PROFI magazine recently, the best tech journalist you ever had is now working his magic there, he probably aint very pretty but he sure knows his stuff :)
I have never seen one of those pivot loaders in the USA. I have read discussion of them being better, but there is one thing I notice right off. Skid steers are heavier built than tractors and other like farm equipment. That seems the case with the loader as well. The loader does not seem to be as heavily built as the skid steer but that my just be my perception. I bet the loader would get stuck less.
I've owned and operated a few loaders (Weidemann). They are not your tough construction site - ready loaders that'd be designed to handle every untrained operator. But we put 14,000 hours on the first Weidemann. The second has a broken counter, but I guess, we're at about 9,000 hours yet with many more to go.
I really like the side doors for safety but JCB and Volvo (who seem to be the only manufactures who make them) are lower powered to Deere, CAT, Kubota, etc. I wanted one but bought the Deere 333G for its massive breakout force.
jeremy lee JCB was the first to place the engine in the back with track loaders. Innovative, wouldn’t you say? Cat picked up on it, and of course made it better.
seatbelts are overrated anyways. especially on "high up and thin machines"

Agree with points 3,4.
Operating a skid steer is like being beaten up.
Pivot steer. Skid steers use WAAAAYY too much rubber.

i was watching the woman all the time not the machines XD

jcb all the way
Ughhh... That skidsteers ugly as hell, they should have gotten a Bobcat or John Deere skidsteer
like I'm sorry.... BUT... Who the hell is this woman doing the reviews??? She is awful!!?

I depends on the job, but if the answer is skid steer, than a new holland
lol.... why call it a pivot steer. Its easier to call it a "loader" because that what it is a mini front end loader.
There are advantages and disadvantages of both. Personally, I'd choose a skid steer. I think you can get more productivity from it.
Muy linda máquina;pala q maneja la chica es la primera ves q veo q manejen las chicas
This is how made and greasy boots!
Please, making the New video, she in boots pedal pumping and driving a machine!
Bobcat skid steers are better and Volvo has the same body as the jcb but Volvo copies jcb.Jcb had the idea before
the pivot steer is much better because 1. its got more hp 2. the tires last much longer 3. the hydraulic is much stronger
I'd definitely choose the robot
get some damn american muscel best thing thier is
i bet that schaeffer is great in the rain hahaha....

whoever was operating the skid steer in the beginning isn't a real operator.
I guess that makes you the real person.
JCB always wants to be different , that's their big mistake

Nem raparei nas maquinas a naum, nessa loirinha q da as explicações,kkkkkkkk
That guy and girl can not driver a skidded steer or a articulated loader
our cat skid steer is way better

Skid steer is better if it wasn't a JCB
Wish jcb would do a small pivot steer
do you need a license to drive one of these?
new title " skid steer vs small frontend loader "
i like Skid steer better

zfilmmaker the side doors are nice but then you cant park in a tight space that blocks the door
can i have both
skid steer of course.....
Jcb is no good . Do not by
děkuji ti že že že nám pouštíš krásná videa
I live in the UK and i call it both..
I love that Schaeffer!
I'm no expert but having only one boom on the side of the skid steer makes it look like it would hurt the lifting capabilities.
not at all, our 190 can lift our krone 9foot conditioner mower
have to move trailer underneath it 😅😂 but still it'll lift it
+goldenguns4u actually they are pretty awesome
goldenguns4u lel
Arwel Agri machinery it does it's a junk machine the only think I like about it is the telescopic boom buy idk how sketchy that gets
I'd buy ten of them if this young lady comes with them.
if the things jcb do to be different and they are really good ideas cat would of thought of them years ago
jeremy lee JCB was the first to place the engine in the back with track loaders. Innovative, wouldn’t you say? Cat picked up on it, and of course made it better.
i'll just have the woman please.
I don't like test drive this loaders. I like to test drive that girl :) she can stick shift my gears.
