Did ever a tractor driver look so good? You are doing a good job teaching your wee team and seem to have endless patience we the girls seem determined to fully test 😃
Best thing you can say to people that get overwhelmed with to much info all at once (I’m one of them) is I’m going to throw a lot of info at you but I do not expect you to retain it all on the first go. It always helped me. my dad was a machinist so very detailed oriented and he would just throw it all at me at once and I would never remember it because once I’m over whelmed I’d shut down and couldn’t hear any of it.
Oh, Man! This was wonderful. Decades of brain and muscle memory imparting to the willing student in a mere minutes. There's just so much more to everything farming than one can imagine. Most knowledge had a price attached. Samantha was so willing and attentive. A dose of fear also. She's such a beauty and smart. She doing much better than I would have not knowing the tractor. With anything, encourage, encourage, encourage.
I encourage all my daughters to have a go Paul, they have all driven the tractor but never worked it, as I explained to Samantha when she told me she could drive it, there is a big difference between driving one and working one. 🙂👍
Another good video FP, this is what makes you stand out, you don't spend time doing reviews of other people's products which for me I like, it's about you, family and your business. Keep up the good work. 👍
right on the nail Ian, my brother and I are selling up in the city end of next year and looking at a 50-100 acre lifestyle block to retire but keep busy on. We have spent months researching skills sets, soil/pasture management. We've decided a running stream is a must as here (Northland NZ) there are droughts for a few months. Could you cover what you'd look for in land selection, grass type mix in pastures, distance from amenities, what skillsets are useful (welding, electrical etc), income activities, what machinery to get started on and old vs new (we do want to do hay), tractor hp for start, cattle selection- lo line vs standard sizes, risk management(include nitrate poisoning and who covers if you get sick?), what knowledge is needed re animal diseases, shed types, workshop setup, mental health (big topic here), how much hay vs herd size or how much to store for hard times, how do you dispose of dead stock? what debt should a farm carry ( a number of commercial farms reported here are about 40% to farm value though we would be avoiding that but others may want to know). What plan for managing nitrate leaching into waterways? there are many topics one can ask but these are some. Cheers mate, sorry for the book but keen to know. love the vids.
Hi Sam did A good job .I really relate to the too much information my brain freezes .it takes me several dry runs to learn thing let alone a michine full of computer buttons . And her teacher who did do a good job was her dad . And no sleep , what are you doing driving anything. Be carful . Take care .
Why do ppl always seem to find other ppls misfortune funny but u just about endin up sprawlin across the bonnet o the tractor was hilarious 🤣🤣 well done Sam ,👍
20:50 - From fictional insurance company advert, "Have YOU suffered a whiplash injury recently, like Farmer P? Call: 0800 Whiplash!" Just a quick note to Samantha, inheritance doesn't work that way!
The last two videos have been great it's always nice to see Ms Pretty and Abbi is going to be so jealous that Sam is doing her tractor stuff to bad the mustang doesn't have room for two it would be hilarious to watch .I hope after that excursion you went in the house and mixed you a stiff one.
Nice job Samantha, even though, you probably gave your Dad a heart attack. 😂😂😂😂😂 Yea he survived. 😩😉 I can see one of your girls taking over the farm chores, who knows. Nice video. 😉👍
You should have Holli make cabbage biscuits with barley flour, bout an inch wide a quarter thick and four long, for you to bait the youngs and make the mothers happy with. Bake the cabbage in a baking bag at about 350 till its soupy and it makes a nice blend with the flour. Don't add yeast just let them be crunchy.
I feel sams pressure! Isnt always easy tryin to show ur dad u can achive something uve never done. Ive never been able to work with my parents always seem to bonk heads and not see eye to eye. Hats off to ur daughter for steppin up to the plate and tryin something maybe new dont really know.
Well done Sam, lot to get your head round when you start doing field work, I was teaching one of our new recruits (also a young lady) trailer reversing, as no one else would.or had the patience. 👍Good job farmer P
Samantha bi have to side with you that was a lot of info at one time but it was funny watching the two of you at it Ian like you tell the kids breath, enjoyed the video.
Well done Samantha I think you did really well considering you’d only had an hour’s sleep, I’m so glad you didn’t cut out the emergency stop, maybe next time you will have your seat belt on , more time on the tractor and then maybe the skid steer 🙈🙈🙈
Farmer P driving school there 😂😂 I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one interested in it 😂😂 I’m guessing Sam has an Automatic car? great video Ian and well done to Sam!
.... are automatics that popular over there now, they used to be a right rarity .... the larger the machine the more finicky the manual transmissions can get especially when you have multiple gearboxes to align ....
I happen to think she done very well Farmer P... Be nice . . You can only take the P when she should know better... You certainly can't do it if Sam never wants to help you an enjoyable mini series!
Well done Samantha you got some good excuses up your sleeve girl but you done well, Ian you now need at go and tack some tranquilizers now to calm yourself after your driving lesson with Samantha lol.👍👍👍😉
I really sympathise with Sam. Many of us have picked up tractor operating methods as technology has improved over the years, so to be bombarded with it all at once is really difficult - and as a retired lecturer/trainer I won't comment on your teaching style 😙😄
She world not know where the spreader was IF it was not on the back of tractor when she got back to yard lol, eyes only forward lol, she is ready to do it on her own lol, we can all watch with your drone lol
Good job Sam It is difficult to both get instructions and give instructions, I think. Especially if you are sitting in a machine that you do not work with that much. If you give instructions, it is like explaining muscle memory it is difficult.
Classic Farmer P. Sam trying to operate the PTO, Farmer P, I’d hate to be your boyfriend!, 😆. Made me chuckle. Not sure if Sam heard it or was just ignoring her dad. Brilliant vid again👍.
Pmsl farmer P this takes me back to teaching my daughter to drive tell me did the phrase ffs come into your head at any time during that experience lol
Sam needs more time for a little more practice,... I think she'll do well. Maybe she does need some rest, then go take the tractor and go 'round again a few times. Good video though!

Excellent job! I know grown men who couldn't do what Sam has just done!
The Concentration on sams face lol. Good job
I'm impressed with Miss Samantha's driving. Well Done!!!
Didn`t take any gates or anything out ,so far so good and that`s a + slowly but surely .
Much easier to take it slow than replacing a gate post. 😄👍
Another good video FP, this is what makes you stand out, you don't spend time doing reviews of other people's products which for me I like, it's about you, family and your business. Keep up the good work. 👍
Oh I have been approached by a few to do some “Influencing” but if it’s not something I would use or buy myself, I’m not really interested.
great job sam....
Great video as always it’s good to see Samantha in your video helping you out farmer p

I only tapped it Hayden, fortunately I possess a thick skull.😄
Good teaching all gateposts still standing good day all round

It does get a bit tricky with a spit box, then with pto can see how Sam was getting in a bit of a fluster, she got there in the end. Good job Farmer P

It’s not her first lesson.. 😄
I was told before we started that she knew what she was doing, which was just a red rag to the bull. 😄😄👍
@@FarmerP And she was telling Emma what a wonderful driver she was 😄
I had the same fun trying to teach the bossmans sister how to drive the loader tractor 🙈🙈. I ended up jumping off and leaving her too it 🤣
That’s fair enough, it’s her dads tractor after all 😄👍

There she was reading Harry Potter thinking she was going off on a magic muck spreading adventure...before farmer p ruined all her fun 🤣
A other fantastic video. You looked a bit nervous mr p sitting on the wrong seat 💺
Ps sam done a excellent job in the drivers seat 💺
Farmer P is trying to debunk her claim on driving, yet Sam gave him a master class.
Yes, a master class in wearing a seat belt. 😄
Samantha did good! Leave her alone!
She would be the first to complain if I did that. 😄
Well done Sam for trying
in this part of the world we have an expression in increase the revs of the tractor to get through a mucky patch " give her the wellie "
Or give er some beans! 😄👍
Good job Sam It is difficult to both get instructions and give instructions, I think. Especially if you are sitting in a machine that you do not work with that much. If you give instructions, it is like explaining muscle memory it is difficult.
Poor abbi. Her sisters get a head off her on the tractor driving. Smart farmer p. If in the future it is necessary his girls can help out.
