Even though Jarek is technically a bad guy, it's hard not to feel sorry for him. He agrees to assist his enemy Sonya. And then she expects him to turn himself in. Shinnok breaks his word to Reptile. Sonya wants to break her word to Jarek. Is there ever a deal that is honored?
Like Shao Khan did with Reptile back in _Mortal Kombat 3_ or was probably Shang Tsung who broke his word to Reptile...
I don't think Sonya said anything about letting Jarek go after Shinnok is dead if he'd help her. She probably told him it's either this or jail time, so after all was over she had to do what a cop has to do and bring the criminal in.
At 4:22 looking at Reiko in the next fight, the back of his suit says he is part of the Brothers Of The Shadow. But his ending however reveals Shao Kahn's mask being bestowed upon him.
Is it just me,or is Jarek basically a copy of Kano(as a fighter,not as a character)?
Blind Bosnian I read somewhere that he was originally Kano’s student as well as his right hand then between the events of 4 and Armageddon he trained and learned his own techniques

He was originally gonna be Kano and then they decided to try to make a new kharacter instead

@@tonitoniversus I wasted many, many, many quarters on MK4 not knowing the move list back in my teens. Especially on characters that were new etc.
while moveset wise jarek (in mk4 anyways) jarek may be a kano clone, story wise he is much different, while in MK3 Kano sold weapons to shao kahn just for a profit when shao kahn tried to invade earthrealm, jarek actually realized that shinnok was the bigger threat than him and the special forces and willingly helped the good guys against shinnok despite their differences.

I love the Black Dragon and Red Dragon they are my two favourite factions in any form of fiction and I would love them to put their hatred aside and form an alliance to destroy earth realm and the Special Forces
Same, but the Black Dragon clan are traitors of the Red Dragon, most left the Red Dragon and formed the their own clan, almost all of them died except for Kano and since then Kano has built the Black Dragon much bigger.
Really sucks when Kano and Kabal (ex member) are the only ones now, where's Jarek, Tasia, Kobra, Kira and etc? Atleast Tremor came back in MKX.

in this timeline (befor mk9 ) is there a canon ending for a character ?
Of course, I usually state which one is canon in my individual ending videos' description box. This ending is non-canonical, for example. Only the second half of Jax's ending is canon as revealed in Jarek's MKA BIO. Jarek's confrontation with Sonya did not happen.
Despite what people might say Jarek is pretty good here.
I like jarek as a meme u know plus I like kanos fighting style and he is a Kano clone fighting wise and no one chosses him
