The gladiator, and the Tacoma are both great trucks but if you are serious about going off road, you would pick the gladiator. if you disagree, you obviously don’t know anything about the gladiator platform.
For sure Bud 🤟
Insane cars Ben !! ❤❤
Interesting that you think most buyers would not cross-shop the Tacoma and Gladiator. They're both mid sized trucks with a reputation for being capable off-pavement. I plan to buy some truck in about six months. Personally I wish they would offer a version of the Gladiator with a solid metal roof permanently bolted-on, with a good headliner to reduce noise and heat/cold; that should not be a difficult option to engineer.
You ask which of these people would buy if they were spending around $55,000. For that money I'd buy an F-150 in STX trim with the 5.0 V8, which I just might do. Or I might get a Frontier Pro-4X for $45,000.
What is the towing capacity for the gladiator? I saw it was 7700 pounds but is that for the Rubicon? Or all 2024 Gladiators?
When I do an inventory search on the Jeep web site, 2024 Gladiator, Cherokee and Renegade are not offered
Would like to see a comparison to the ranger raptor too. I'm probably going with gladiator since I love the open air experience but I'll wait for 2025 when it's supposed to go hybrid and get engine updates. Unfortunately the ranger doesn't even offer a sunroof
I have a gladiator Mojave and I love mine, Toyota's quality has been going down lately. The jeep gladiator will probably be more reliable because they still use a port injected V6. Toyota can't make good turbo engines, just look at the problems with the new tundra.
Our neighbor purchased a New Tacoma sr pro, I had a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. We had over 2ft snow and my neighbors Tacoma could not make it out the driveway much less going up the street. I put mine in 4 low and pulled out and went up the street and rode around town helping people stuck. When I came back home my neighbor had pulled out of his driveway, but was stuck trying to get up the hill. Idecided to go around for just fun and drove by him. A Ford F250 was also stuck at the bottom of the street. I now have a late model 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and actually this one handles better. My next will be either a 2024 or wait to see if the 2025 has any new changes!
That Tacoma probably had street tires.
Gladiator all the way. Wins in every aspect, other than gas mileage.
I like how jeeps don’t have drive modes. The less tech the better
Both great trucks
Comparing a TuRD to a JEEP GLADIATOR 😅. The TuRD wouldn't even come in second place. More like third or fourth at best. Not even fair. And if you ever did any real off-roading you would know
if you want to do more than overlanding or off roading with out spending a lot of money the Gladiator is your best choice.
I hate the fact that the wrangler and gladiator weren’t fully redesigned. They have the same appearance since 2018-2019. Only the grill and the infotainment screen are different.
I wouldn’t say the gladiator is weird or strange because you can remove the panels it’s unique and special much more special than any other midsize truck.
The jeep gladiator I will have fun with it drive long trip
The tacoma needs more room. Both are too expensive now, its gotten ridiculous.......We have taken our Gladiator on 11 hour trips each way 2x and it did just fine. Gas mileage even through quite a few mountains averaged 21 mpg. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a willys sport, so it has(but not much longer) the mud terrain tires and still did well. Admittedly I am looking forward to the all terrain tires I will be getting before our next vacation this year. It was really great being at the beach and being able to have the top down. Definitely an added benefit. Just wish it had a V8, ;)
Buy the Jeep if you actually want to use it on trails and buy the Tacoma if you want to keep it clean and showcase all the new gear thats been used once, in your back yard.
Only time will tell which one is more reliable. I’m betting on the Taco.
Both are a ripoff. How long is the mortgage on those? Last I checked, price gouging was frowned upon.
I am a long-time multiple Tacoma owner and toyota lost me with the new mini-Tundra made in Mexico…double miss
Im bac
2024 nissan frontier 4pro x
Second comment tonight.
Late, but here👍🏻
Tacoma
Who would spend 61k on that gladiator. Dear god what a waste of money
Under the hood of the Tacoma is a rat's nest. Toyota could do better.
Happy Valentine's Day Benny. Why Compared Toyota Tacoma Limited To The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Because The TRD Off-Road Is The Off-Road.
Maybe watch the video? He explained why.
Toyota All the way for me ❤❤
2023 Gladiator Rubicons have been selling for $15-$16k off.
Same money : buy the Tacoma. Better reliability and resale.
I’d take the Gladiator. It will end up being more reliable in the long run.
Toyota tacoma trailhunter excellent 😊❤😊
Jeep can frame it however they want….that ain’t no pickup! It’s a scrambler!
These prices are insane, still. Stop buying this trash.
"Gladiator has everything".......except insulation......it's a tin can not worth 61k
A tin can??? Ohhhh boy 🙄
I’ll be honest, I’m in the market for this style truck and have been driving them all back to back and I can tell you the Tacoma really isn’t that much more quiet at highway speeds then the gladiator, and the tail gate stuck on the Tacoma I tried, and the jeep was a softer ride. I wouldn’t even put the Tacoma at #2, the jeep was my favorite, 2nd was the ZR2 Colorado. I’ll wait to see the pricing on the TRD Pro but I was really disappointed in the trd offroad.
@@garrettbrown3126 I owned a 2021 Rubicon and then somehow talked myself into buying a 2022 Tacoma TRD off-road, and after about a year I went back and bought another Rubicon. The Jeep is so much better in so many ways, but just to name a couple would be the fun factor, the seating position, and the absolutely glorious eight speed transmission! I’d buy the Jeep!
