I have been doing exactly the same with my kids. First taught my daughter all these things since she is elder and then my son who is now 15yrs. He helps me with most of my chores at home just as you said 'an assistant'. He does most of his work himself starting with making his bed as he wakes up. Then helps me with my chores even when he goes to school or classes. It keeps him busy, helps him learn and I also get to spend quality time with him while we chop vegetables together! Really great video, I am glad people are starting to realize how important this is. ❤

Make sure he is also able to do hard things. The things in which he can fail. Washing, cleaning is OK. One should know but nobody can fail in it. Level him up to face the harsh competition outside where failure & setbacks is inevitable. Don't let him turn softer.Send him outside. Let him deal with the people outside. It should not be his duty to do household chore. I hope you get my point.

आजकल के parents who are born after 70s 80s ये नहीं सोचते कि बच्चे arranged marriage करें या love, but ye zaroor सोचते हैं कि कैसे एक अच्छे nature का life partner mile.
    इसपर zaroor एक वीडियो बनाएं कि अच्छा लड़का in terms of व्यवहार nature behaviour कैसे select karein. कैसे intution itni बढायें कि धोका ना मिले, गलत behaviour ना मिले, ek शांतिपूर्ण वातावरण मिले बेटी को .

Some 25 to 30 years ago here in Mysore (this custom is followed in many places in sooth India) mother used to keep away from all house hold work during her menstrual period for three days every month.
She was not allowed to do cooking,
Pooja etc. So in those days it was responsibility father and kids to manage everything. Due to this we learnt to do every household job and
go to school college etc. This was a blessing in disguise for women and family also.

  • @dietitiansakshi

Good thing is my mother made me learn all the things at the mentioned appropriate age. Bad thing is my brother was 12 years elder than me he could perform only 1-2 things out of these and still it's the same.
The thing is in India these things are taught to girls from an early age....but not to boys mother overly pamper their boys and the consequences have to be dealt by their wives.
I can say this as I am now married and I can see that my husband can't perform these basic tasks. We have a 1.5 year old baby girl and I have to perform all the tasks starting from financially helping in the family, taking care of our baby girl (no house help) and household tasks.
But I feel people like Sir are spreading awareness and time are changing and will surely improve as I can see lots of positive comments.

Cooking, house keeping, Maintenaning hygiene, Gardening if a person knows these basic things he will never feel low in his life. He will eat healthy low budget fresh chemical free hygienic tasty food, will live in a clean organized house and doing all this with his own hand will give him or her a feeling of accomplishment.

In Todays World Children has to be Appreciated first for listening to their Parents , As Things Work from Both the Side .

    • @Trentz2
      @Trentz2 Год назад +3

Nope. You got it wrong madam. Please don’t do that to your kids, you will set them up for failure in future. If children start expecting to be appreciated for something as normal as listening to their parents, then they expect appreciation from each and everyone. Respecting authority of parents, teachers, law are essential. They not like it or agree with it. They definitely can have an opinion, but if they want to disagree, disagree politely. Because if they don’t learn to respect authority even when they don’t like, it will cause pain for them.
Next, unless you are a billionaire and plan for your children to just sit at home, almost all adults will be working. Appreciation is not the norm is workplace, it’s rather an exception. So are planning to set them up for frustration.
Lastly, we live in a world of participatory awards, where people expect to be awarded just for showing up. This sought of mentality will only set them up for entitlement and hurt, when things don’t go the way they expect. The next 30 40 years are anyways going to be filled with loneliness and depression among young people, at least teach them to be strong. All the best

    Very good.. fantastic topic👍👍
My husband didn't know any of this as kid of a home maker mother, he is AVP in a bank but I'm teaching him all these things from age 30 till 35 now.. he has started doing few things but complains most of the time.. i wish MIL would have done her job. Even if we have maids some things we all should know, covid has taught us that.
Note: I'm a working woman as well earning at par with my husband, no kids so far but I'll make sure I'll teach my kid all mentioned points 😊❤

Some 7-8 years ago I got divorced. Long story - not important here.
I had no home skills. I put on audiobooks and started to do gardening, cleaning the house I lived in, cooking. I spent hours learning how to cook from basic to advanced from Rajma + Rice to french onion soup to paneer bhurji.
I found novel ways of accomplishing new and basic existing things. Indeed I found it very enjoyable.
And when my daughter was born, I learned to *everything* a grandmother does for the baby - when helping out. Now I have all the skills for child rearing, domestic home skills and even repairs and maintenance. I need no one and never feel "mohtaji" - makes me happy to be self sufficient.

Meri beti bhi isamese kai kaam kar leti hai basic chije bachhon ko aani bahut jaruri hai. Sasural walon ko impress karne keliye nahi khud ki development keliye.

and you are right Parents focus more on studies, they think such work would kill their precious time which in return kills their child caliber to even study.
