Most people don’t replace their iPad Pro every year they are just too expensive. So I think apple are right about major upgrades every 2-3 years. Work generally replacements their stuff every 2 years. 1:26 OLED does not mean higher brightness. OLED screens are not typically known for producing very bright images. In fact, Apple has emphasized the brightness of their mini-LED screens, branding them as XDR. The main advantage of OLED for an iPad lies in its ability to display perfect blacks. This is due to the fact that OLEDs are able to turn off individual pixels. Additionally, this allows OLED-screens to produce a more uniform image in dark scenes, fixing the blooming effect that’s caused by the backlighting on Apples XDR screens. Apple is likely to use OLED technology in the new iPad Pro models to facilitate a redesigned form factor with thinner bezels. This will also probably enable implementation of screen design features, like the Dynamic Island, which isn’t feasible with mini-LED technology.

Arthur - good preview, but you got one thing wrong - on the iPad 11 they're NOT saving $0.50 by staying at 64gb ssd - they are facing users to spend $100-200 to go to 128gb...Tim is a master of price gouging for ram and ssd...
hi, i'm a grad student looking towards purchasing an iPad (I've never had one before and I want it mainly as a work device for my job and my classes). I really want the iPad pro M2 12.9" but now I do not know if I should purchase it now or wait for the new iPad pros to be launched. Any ideas/thoughts or suggestions?
With this level of renewal, I will not be replacing it! I'm on an M1 iPad Pro right now and I don't feel any difference. I will not replace it unless Apple comes out with a 16" iPad Pro! I don't think many people will replace it for just 0.1".
I might consider selling my M2 12.9 and upgrading if Apple can release a MicroLED iPad Pro (or OLED if they can actually design a display that can match the sustained & peak brightness of MINILED.)
It’s still iPad OS … I just wish they’d just heavily revive it - just bring the finder over from MacOS - ability to resize the dock - full Microsoft office from macOS - proper window resizing - a menu system maybe one revamped to match iPad OS touch first design - get rid of that finicky middle button at the top!!! that you have to click first and then look down the options) replace it with three traffic light bubbles and put it on the left side give consistency across systems and look way cooler. This would also make dragging windows a lot easier - more advanced dialog box systems - please please ffs redesign system preferences so it doesn’t move to an entirely new page for every little setting it’s jarring and makes navigation difficult. - 3x usb C and 1 thunderbolt? - the suspended screen with that Magic Keyboard thing is a stupid idea it doesn’t make enough difference and just means it has to be super heavy to counteract the iPad. Make a magnetic attachment that makes it feel like the hinge of a MacBook Pro a good quality keyboard unlike those crappy ones that are on the surfaces, and give the iPad a back stand …
It be nice if they put all the specs of the IPad Pro in an iMac computer with up the 8tb SSD drive and all the ports of the MacBook Pro and the ability to run off a battery and cellular connectivity 😊 I think that would definitely revitalize iMac sales for sure
Most important progress must be at the iPadOS. As it can use one core only and never 8 or 10 high performance cores at once, the multicore performance is needless to know, just the single core performance! We need the use of two or more high performance cores in an iPad!!! And: The use of some high performance cores in the background, if wanted and power supply connected, meaning the full metal backside needs to cool the machine fully. I want a simple activated screen lock, for viewing content. I only used an ipad camera for a QR code or the lidar.
Really hope to see, most of these I feel will be on it. tbh if not wait another year. for the iPad PRO version M3 Chip, 12gRAM base(Hoping for 16g being Apple standard 2024 onwards), Oled 120hz screen, WiFi7, Faster Bluetooth and USB-C Thunderbolt.( added benefit, which I don't think will come. 2xUSBC port. ). Slight Camera upgrade or tailored zoom/focus for scanning documents. I use my iPad Pro camera almost exclusive for scanning / uploading documents . That's what I hope and expect, if not I'll wait another year so the upgrades compound. Software we need to see more flexibly, stage manager having more settings for controlling external monitors such as aspect, flipping etc. The biggest thing I want to see and what ive seen other to ask for, is having a setting update that you can leave it plugged in without damaging battery, have a bypass or keeps it at 80% till you want it to fully charge before heading out. Lots of people are trying to use the Pro iPad as a laptop replacement, so it needs some of these added feature. Because if it doesn't, why not just get last years model or a new Air. Edit. iPad Pros need Xcode! Like seriously, it’s Apples own application they made and it’s not even on the iPad pro, better be on the m3 series, it’s the only reason I haven’t upgraded yet. A m1 iPad Air can run Xcode, so why couldn’t a new M3 iPad Pro run it! Develop this Apple!! iPad Pro has been good for Creativity, now let’s add a bit of professional work loads to it.It’s more than powerful enough. Even as is the m2 would be.
I have the M1 iPad Pro, and it feels like overkill. I had really hoped with the extra power that they could do something like give it the ability to function like an macbook when connected to the Magic Keyboard, but it just stays an ipad the whole time, when i believe it could do so much more. Considering it’s around the price of a macbook, it would be nice if it could function like a macbook too, with multiple windows open, floating, and such.
@@joselucnico Thanks. Your comment made me think “Maybe Im missing something on the ipad” and sure enough, looks like maybe stage manager is the option I needed to make it more macbook like.” Not sure why I didnt have it enabled, but im going to try it out and see how this option is, but I have floating windows now.
@@davidgordon3744I think it will always boil down to software. I have had both the iPad Pro 12.9 M1 (1TB + 16 GB ram) and MacBook Pro 14in M1 (10/32+64 GB ram) for a few years now. At first I used the iPad exclusively until I ran into some software issues (software was only available on the Mac). Since then, I also picked up a iPad mini 6. I found that my workflow naturally moved towards Mac + IPad mini because both were better at what I needed them to do. I still enjoy my iPad Pro but it has been sitting idle and it is hard for me to suggest it to others because of the software limitations.
they won't just go OLED, but either MLA OLED with micro lenses or QD OLED, quantum dot OLED, the same tech we've been seeing on TVs since last year, it's a massive boost in brightness, 2.000+ nits, maybe even higher, with which HDR really pops and based on what LG and Samsung are doing with TVs, we're not far from the magical 4.000 nit displays, which is the ultimate goal in display technology and how movies are color graded.

Don’t know why they’re doing 13 inch, they should go straight to 14 inch,it’s the obvious next step. It’s so obvious they are slow -walking the iPad pro’s development. All the technology is there for a really advanced pad computer, They should just go for it.
I think they will probably make a new ipad M3 Ultra with OLED, then keep the ipad 11 and 12.9 Pro as is but with M3 chips. I can't see apple making an $1800 ipad and not keeping the older ones for the lower price point.

I experimented with wired only charging on my new iPhone 15 pro. Battery life has gone up 30 percent. No more wireless inefficient charging, with heat generation. iPad gets wireless charging !! Should I even care ?
I'm against a glass body for iPad Pro or any other tablet. We already see how bad is glass on back of smartphones with constant cracks, repair costs, hazards of broken glass for children need to add protecting glass both on back and front. Now imagine such a disaster on 10 to 13 inch tablet... just thinking about it gives me the chills. Because this bigger surface area the more fragile it gets. Now if apple were to use ALON or transparent aluminum which is much sturdier than glass, that would make a huge difference. It would even be an extra protection by itself instead of a reason to worry about. But ALON costs nearly 5 times the price of normal glass, and knowing Apple they never do it. Why they never used MLC SSDs instead of cheaper TLC, even for Pro line of their Mac computers.

But the M3 iPad Pro still no 120hz support for external display right? Looking at my current M1 ipad pro with 120hz and back up to the bigger 32 inch 4k external display with only 60hz is really annoying. My eyes hurts.
My prediction 2024 iPad Pros will come in space black and silver and include the M3 Pro chip along with the already confirmed oled with LTPO which means standby. Maybe even better cameras. What I don't know, up to 24gb of ram and maybe 4tb storage. I also think the iPad Air 12.9 and 11 inch will get the M3 and the regular iPad and iPad mini will get the A16 Bionic. 25 Billion, 37 Billion, 92 Billion.

Arthur - good preview, but you got one thing wrong - on the iPad 11 they're NOT saving $0.50 by staying at 64gb ssd - they are facing users to spend $100-200 to go to 128gb...Tim is a master of price gouging for ram and ssd...
0:47 Narrower Bezels is the future. 1:03 A 11" and 13" inch screen size is fantastic. A bigger screen is great 👍🏿.
So they’re making them bigger so they can sell new keyboards that are bigger
hi, i'm a grad student looking towards purchasing an iPad (I've never had one before and I want it mainly as a work device for my job and my classes). I really want the iPad pro M2 12.9" but now I do not know if I should purchase it now or wait for the new iPad pros to be launched. Any ideas/thoughts or suggestions?
I’d say if you won’t be pushing the processor to the limit (and you likely won’t), look for a good deal on the M2s as the M3s get close/release
I would love a iPad fold. Smaller for storage but unfolds into a larger iPad.
2 UBC ports is a must for me to get another iPad for productivity
It’s still iPad OS … I just wish they’d just heavily revive it
- just bring the finder over from MacOS
- ability to resize the dock
- full Microsoft office from macOS
- proper window resizing
- a menu system maybe one revamped to match iPad OS touch first design
- get rid of that finicky middle button at the top!!! that you have to click first and then look down the options) replace it with three traffic light bubbles and put it on the left side give consistency across systems and look way cooler. This would also make dragging windows a lot easier
- more advanced dialog box systems
- please please ffs redesign system preferences so it doesn’t move to an entirely new page for every little setting it’s jarring and makes navigation difficult.
If you though that is because you don’t know the story, MacOS is the past and Dead.
It be nice if they put all the specs of the IPad Pro in an iMac computer with up the 8tb SSD drive and all the ports of the MacBook Pro and the ability to run off a battery and cellular connectivity 😊 I think that would definitely revitalize iMac sales for sure
wireless charging is not important...charging by cable is fine...13 bigger screen but hoping form factor same...already 12.9 big enough
Whoever rendered the thumbnail gets and A++ for including the CORRECT MagSafe!!
Do I need a thunderbolt dock to output my iPad Pro to an external display at 4k? Right now using a usb c hub it’s capped at 2560 x 1440. Helppppp.
Why do you need all that just get a MacBook
How about iPad OS allowing desktop software.
I think it will because i already do that when my Keyboard or Mouse is on.
@@davidgordon3744Apple have already said there will never be macOS on the iPad
Nothing of the mentioned stuff will come to the new iPad, pretty sure. Just a hardware update
Mucho sueña el tipo..
Current OLED technology can’t match the brightness of the MiniLED iPad Pro.
Woah, 12.9 to 13 inches that is such an insane bump!!!
11-inch ipad pro for $1500 aw 😢
Still be getting it though if the facetime camera changes to landscape.
also, wth is the point of an ipad with wireless charging? I think the smart connector would be better for charging
Ill be upgrading my m1 iPad Pro 12.3 to the m3 iPad Pro
Mac os on the m3, or a variation of it. Wtf is the point of an m2 or m3 chip without mac os?
To stress the M1 run the Izotope RX audio processes, sit back and enjoy 😅
they won't just go OLED, but either MLA OLED with micro lenses or QD OLED, quantum dot OLED, the same tech we've been seeing on TVs since last year, it's a massive boost in brightness, 2.000+ nits, maybe even higher, with which HDR really pops and based on what LG and Samsung are doing with TVs, we're not far from the magical 4.000 nit displays, which is the ultimate goal in display technology and how movies are color graded.
Interesting coverage Arthur 👌🏼 it’s also rumoured that 2024 iPad Pro will have an elegant redesign .. let’s hope so. By the way, I’m impressed with your English and you so cool in black shirt 😊👌🏼
Are you aware of how large 0.1 inches is? That is your first bullet point, it is larger by 0.1 inches...
This would be a great move by Apple keeping the last generation IPad Pro in high demand for its quality and lower price over the newer model 😉
Maybe a landscape front camera as well?
i still have my 12.9in ipad from 4th gen. that price is absolutely insane. i would never pay 2 grand for an ipad.
I don't understand the desire for smaller bezels on something with the form factor of the ipad
Bro why apple compared M3 chip to M1 chip but not M2? .. are the changes not big enough to compare?
Indeed
Don’t know why they’re doing 13 inch, they should go straight to 14 inch,it’s the obvious next step. It’s so obvious they are slow -walking the iPad pro’s development. All the technology is there for a really advanced pad computer, They should just go for it.
With the m3 chip, does this mean that it will run a full version of Microsoft Office?
susw, hoq qil you hold the TABLET if the bezels are even narrower?
I think they will probably make a new ipad M3 Ultra with OLED, then keep the ipad 11 and 12.9 Pro as is but with M3 chips. I can't see apple making an $1800 ipad and not keeping the older ones for the lower price point.
ipad wont ever replace a laptop, Ive used ipad pro as replacement but i still want a laptop because of softwares
glass back sucks
not good for heat
It’s hampered my iOS.
I wish it was just macOS and iOS on the phones.
I just bought a Mac studio M1, I dig it, but I would prefer just to have an iPad really…
Wireless charging is not good since I use the IPad while charging .
USB C is must .
Whisk the were two usb c since one for connection to Headphones via mobile dac and the other usb c for charging the iPad at the same time.
After experimenting on 15 pro max series I think apple will take on gaming market with iPad m3
the only thing stopping me from purchasinf tablets in general would be the fact that I can't use the full version of microsoft Excel. Don't get me wrong, i can still us eit, but I can't use features like Multiple Regression Analysis or anything of the sorts in College.
When will the ipad m3 be out??
It’s going to be crazy expensive also
$1800? More like $2000 including tax and I haven’t included AppleCare
I experimented with wired only charging on my new iPhone 15 pro. Battery life has gone up 30 percent. No more wireless inefficient charging, with heat generation. iPad gets wireless charging !! Should I even care ?
Your next computer is STILL not a computer 😂
Ipad pro 2022 is still overpowered for what you can do on it. Unless they open up Mac OS to the Ipad do not waste your money.
Macbook Killer = iPadOS + MacOS or VM
No software or operating system improvement then new hardware is just piling on more expense for less gain.
My iPad Pro has 16 gigs
To revive iPad sales they need to drastically improve iPadOS. Why spend all that money when it can’t even replace a laptop
Use blender or any 3D application and the ipad will stress like crazy just like on the macbook and mac pro and studio.
I love apple products! Currently using. iPhone 15 pro and ipad pro m2 . 120hertz refresh rate is everything to me. And the EarPods delivered crisp and clear soudn super love everything about apple
But the M3 iPad Pro still no 120hz support for external display right?
Looking at my current M1 ipad pro with 120hz and back up to the bigger 32 inch 4k external display with only 60hz is really annoying. My eyes hurts.
I just need m3 and oled for art and editing🙏🏾
My prediction 2024 iPad Pros will come in space black and silver and include the M3 Pro chip along with the already confirmed oled with LTPO which means standby. Maybe even better cameras. What I don't know, up to 24gb of ram and maybe 4tb storage. I also think the iPad Air 12.9 and 11 inch will get the M3 and the regular iPad and iPad mini will get the A16 Bionic. 25 Billion, 37 Billion, 92 Billion.
You think the 2024 iPad Pro won’t have a silver color option?
@@yasminaaydemir8630 no silver too. Just no space gray
The air will probably get m2 it would not get the same chip as the pro because that would make it to similar
@@eastonbrewer1798 there’s 3 chips this time around. M3 Pro chips in the iPad Pro’s then regular M3 chips in the iPad Air’s.
@@gustavoromo6879 They’ve never used all m series chips in iPads. For example, the m2 chip has m2, m2 pro, and m2 max, but the only chip available on iPad pro is m2. They don’t allow the other chips to be on the iPad mainly because even m2 is overkill for the iPad.
No it will never be a replacement for a MacBook Pro. Doesnt matter how powerful processor or big screen it has. It is still an iPad and will always be an iPad. Nothing wrong with that
Thank you for your video. I bought so many I’m ready for a new one’❤
you've been saying that ipad is a macbook killer. it's not gonna be. it'll always be just a tablet. macbook is a powerhouse.
6:31 - am I the only one that is bothered that the girl "playing" genshing took 3 electro units (or 4 if the traveler resonated with electro) to fight the thunder manifestation?
hope they put a micro sd card slot in there
2I still sa a 14 and 16 inch ipad would be a real game changer. Also a New M series iphone with an M1 chip in it and the ability to run mac os. And that! would be game changing!! Merry Christmas@
Ipads piss me off. Tablets used to be under powered for a full operating system. Apple fixed that with their chips. Now they have software restrictions. Put full ios on the 14inch iPad wtf apple.
What was the racing game that was being played please?
Hello, It is interesting. I am impressed. Cool . When? Date?
Alright bro, saying that Apple did nothing with iPads isn’t technically true here because iPadOS 17 was a great update for Stage Manager (about time) and other small things that adds up.
Let’s just keep the glass backs for iPhones, iPads and MacBooks have no business containing that much glass for what they do
one button up next time
Is that why the magic keyboard is on sell because it will no longer support the new ipad?????
how will you redesign an almost perfect design :( .. maybe we just need a better display?
Yeah, 12.9" to 13" is worth wait for
Reads title: "Oh ipad is getting mac os?"
if they make the 13inch pro $1799 without macos, it an't worth it, especially if they make a 12.9 ipad air with OLED
Still on the 2018/2019 Ipad Air xD
Glass back make no sense
Future is S9 Ultra
I think for 11 inch ipad there wil be m2 and for bigger brother has m3 bocz if both comes with OLED display with m3 thn there is no scope of purchasing 12.1 inch but apple does this always 😢😢😢
1.5k for an ipad will be the real ipad killer!!!..😂😂😂😂😂
