I asked a MOPAR mechanic and he said that "even though it looks like you could cut it out and slide a filter in or replace a filter thats already inside, YOU CANT" he said the he tried already and there is no rails or frame to slide a filter into, That when you do the filter just collapses...
I turn on the AC on hi mode to locate and what I have found out was the blower and the filter should be around but nothing just a grill guard. I dont know if this is the design of this van. with no any rails under the blower to hold the air filter.
OE data suggests that a cabin filter is standard equipment only on models with dual or three zone AC or ATC climate control systems. Other models may not be equipped with a cabin filter. Please verify with a Dodge dealer parts dep't that your vehicle has a cabin filter before purchase.
2006 Chrysler Town and Country cabin air filter is NOT inside the glove box it is under the glove box on the passenger side above where your left foot would rest.
2010 caravan with dual zone ac. Pulled the glove box door and was left scratching my head compared to other videos. No cabin air filter, story of my life. I even looked at the bottom of the front windshield where the air actually comes in from outside and nothing.
Only some have the filter. I have owned 2 2005 Tourings. Neither had filters. Both had 3 zone AC. The vehicle in this video does not have a cabin air filter.
I have same problem, and Im thinking those dust that go into the evaporator w/o the air filter and that a bigger issue someday when the evap is clog with dust.
My 2003 town and country has the exact situation shown. Can't fathom why no replaceable filter was designed in this model or how cabin air or the blower motor is kept clean?
I have a 2007 town and county touring and i called the dealer and using the last 8 of my vin they told me that it does have a cabin air filter but he couldnt tell me where. i havent found it under the glove box or in the engine compartment. if i had a guess it is where the bonnet is that is below the windshield wipers. i havent got up the gutts to remove it yet. i am going to take it back to the dealer and have them look at it. i have a 3 zone climate control system as well and they told me cabin air filters are standard on 3 zone climate control models.
According to a guy in one of the forums, if you don't have climate control there is no cabin air filter. That was the case with my 2005 T&C. There appears to be two different locations when one is installed. Behind the glove box (push both tabs in from the sides and the box will dump all your stuff in the floor!) and the box area that Colin showed in the video. Colin, my box is just like yours, but there clearly is not one there.
Okay okay!!!! All the way up in the farthest passanger side corner, filter facing down at the wheel well....under the carpet I think I found the filter!!!!! Now how to get it out???? I haven't had the time to figure it out!!!!!???
I have the same question. I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. I bought it used and my guess is that it was in an accident and this is the result of the repair.
MoparHeat : No, I am sorry there isn't any install kit. Even if you cut it out and install one it will not hold in position for proper operation and will create an air leak in system without the door that is used in systems that have it. MoparHeat : Yes you can replace the housing to have one that will operate with a cabin air filter. MoparHeat : Units with filters have "rails" that hold the filter in place. Yours will not have them.
I think there is no air filter because one unit air conditioning system (ie) no rear air conditioning so to make the air flow higher and to let the air goes to the rear passengers they remove the air filter because it resists the air flow thank you
Talked to Dodge and ALL Caravans that do NOT have the air filter slide opening under the dash DO NOT HAVE CABIN AIR FILTERS! Go Figure... Save your time and energy trying to fit one...

@Christopher Simpson So, did you take it to the dealer? What happened ? What IS the answer to this mystery ?!
How do you change the filter there is no place to put one. do you have to take the housing off to replace the filter.

My 2006 T&C Touring Edition has what LOOKS like a cover for a filter but it is a sealed plasttic unit. No way to get in there.
