      @@valebellei26 Yes. Hirsutism is the excessive growth of stiff and pigmented hair on a woman in places where men usually get hair, like the face, chest, and back, as the result of an excess of testosterone or other male hormones called androgens. Nowadays, it can be treated with medicines, including oral contraceptives or anti-androgens, or by removing the hair with laser therapy, word electrolysis, or other typical hair removal processes as simple as shaving or waxing.

    • @caitlinseaton7546
      @caitlinseaton7546 3 года назад +8

      It is true, I actually have it myself. Sucks a lot, especially if I don’t have time to shave in the morning and people stare at me in public. I was actually happy when masks became a thing. Also, hair removal is only temporary, no matter what you do in most cases because your body just regrows new hair, even with laser. And unless you start treatment as soon as you show symptoms, the hair becomes permanent. My mom just kept saying it was a phase of puberty and it would stop but after years of being bullied about it I went to the doctor and they said the hair follicles had been there too long for the drugs to get rid of what I already had. So the medication prevents it from getting worse but I still grow a beard and have chest hair unless I shave or wax.

    Did you know most people didn’t know the that actor for Jenny Lind didn’t actually sing? Her lip sinc is impeccable! Also credits to Loren Allred, the voice of the singing Jenny Lind.

    • @MsPandacakes
      @MsPandacakes 3 года назад

      To be fair, all musicals are lip sync'd.
      All except "Les Miserables" (with Hugh Jackman) that was one of the first times a movie musical was recorded with live singing, (in order to give the songs more life and power) to the story's underlying themes.
      But besides Les Mis, every other movie musical, every actor is lip syncing and the songs are prerecorded in studios
      (But yes, I know they got a different singer for Lind's character)

    Ahh I'm so happy you reacted and liked it! It really is such a wonderful movie and always cheers me up. If you look closely at Zac Efron during the final song, when he runs onto the stage, his double tail coat completely changes to a shorter jacket ( starting around 36:27) x

    The Greatest Showman is one of my new favorite musicals. I’d say “Rewrite The Stars,” and “Come Back Home” are especially my favorites of the bunch.
    Also, I don’t know if you saw the Disney film, Zootopia, back in 2016, or not, but there are areas where I find at least minor similarities between Zootopia, and The Greatest Showman. The biggest ones, I would say, would be with both P.T., and Judy both being dreamers, and both of them having a falling out, and then reconciling near the end. Granted one was a romantic relationship, while the other was a platonic one, but still.
    Anyway, I would give this one a 10/10 for sure. Well, great job yet again!

    You need to watch the behind the scenes video of them "testing out" the Come Back Home song. The bearded lady actress is an amazing singer and starts getting emotional. And Hugh Jackman had recently had a skin cancer removal or something on his nose, so his doctor told him not to talk too loud or sing for awhile. But Hugh was so moved by the song that he ends up belting it out.
    Edit: Sorry got the two stories/videos confused. It was From Now On Hugh Jackman ended up belting out. It was This Is Me the actress got so emotional that Hugh got emotional.

    Even though this film was told upfront to be an imaginative biopic based on real history, i still remembered how this was all everyone talked about when it first came out. And rightfully so! I remember this as being the movie that i saw 3 TIMES in the cinemas. Most movies i've seen in my live, I've watched twice. But after three times, and i still loved it. The energy this movie had within the cinema was just amazing. It had charm, it was catchy. But most of all, it really felt like that whenever the characters sing, it felt so alive. It took my breath away!

    This is one of my all time favorite musicals and I legitimately listen to this soundtrack at least 3 times a month. So happy you finally got to watch it ♥️
    Never apologize for tearing up, that shows the mark of an amazing movie doing it's job. If it wasn't good, it wouldn't effect you enough to make your emotions react to it.
    So tearing up, getting mad, getting scared; physical reactions to movies prove how amazing those movies truely are! And that's the entire point of being a reactor.

    t always moves me how during “The Greatest Show”, Barnum’s hat circles in the hands of almost every performer and ends up back in his hands before he gives it to Phillip. I might over-interpret it, but I see it as them thanking each other for the work they have done together and accepting P.T.’s choice. Phillip has really turned from an “overcompensated apprentice” into a junior partner and eventually more than he ever dared to dream of - a leader, who gets to perform side by side with his one true love. I like that there are no verbally expressed thank yous, it is all in their eyes and actions. It is a literal, bittersweet and lovely presentation of “Show must go on.” And now I am emotional. Even though it isn't historically accurate, this is one of my favorite musicals ever made. Thank you for your emotional and genuine reaction.

    Keala Seetle, the bearded lady, is an amazing singer. This was her first movie, she'd only done broadway before but Hugh Jackman basically was like "bish, you're doing this with me." When she was first played the This is Me demo she was like "that's amazing, who's singing it?: they were like "you." And she said no fucking way. She was bribed with bottle of liquor to sing it for the green light performance and Hugh talked her into making her character a bigger role and singing the song in film too.

    I remember the first time I visited a circus I was just a five year-old, and marveled at elephants standing on their hind legs and girls doing flips through hoops in the air. The experience was cool and I never got to see another circus because it was the early 2,000's in America. People were accusing the circus industry for drugs, prostitution, and contraband and politicians had to take these accusations seriously, which lead to many circus productions to being banned in the Midwestern America. Though I personally think the politicians were only looking out for what was best for the community, I miss the circus, I miss seeing animals doing tricks, and people doing incredible tricks. I feel blessed to be able to talk about the circus because the next generation of Americans probably won't be able to experience the thrill of the circus.
