Oh well, I have to share with my story.... I hadn't paid for my Buick Rendezvous for 6 months! The repo truck never came! I had to call them to repo my SUV now.... not once, twice! I only heard their lots of *sigh*s.... I had my cleaned SUV ready for them to pick up... They finally did! Finally free from pressures!!! ..... No fights at all! Good bye Buick Rendezvous and thank you for everything!
They Repo’d my brothers car once. He was up to date, this one time he sent a money order. He would always send a Check, so they marked it as ‘ no payment ‘ for one month 🤦🏻♂️ They didn’t even reimburse him for the impound/ repo fee
I lived in an apartment complex that required parking with the license plate facing out. Florida only has one plate. Once a month, a car covered in license plate reader's would roll thru the complex. I am betting the owners cut a deal with repo men to help catch delinquent debtors, for a slice.
To bad all repos don't go like this. Cause I've done many. Any literally in today's world..u never know people gonna do..and also it's amazing how many times I hear..the payment is on the mail. Or I just came from there..or u get the ones that are real crazy and will try and away when they hooked up. So if don't wanna be embarrassed...don't buy a car u can't afford or do this. I've never seen a repo where they have to build a dang erector set for the front tires. Me having zero knowledge about this, is this done only for the fronts or are there some instances where it's done for the back as well? They don’t pick up for a single payment, it’s processed the 2nd month you miss past the grace period & dispatched on the 3rd missed payment. Not worth it though, you got to pay storage & tow. This is some funky rinky dink tow company. The majority of repos nobody even hears as it’s a minute or two and they are quick like thieves in the night.
why are the car dealers and finance companies so nice when they are trying to get your business and the second you dont pay they are nasty and try to repo your vehicle and can be very nasty to you? im starting to think they are only in business to make a profit.
I've only had one experience with repo and it was horrible. The guy came and got my truck at like 4am no problem. I wake up see it's gone I knew. So I called the sheriff to find out what time it was called in and what company took it because I had a truck bed of merchandise in it. Sheriff says no repos were called in to them or any surrounding jurisdiction. So then I assume it was stolen because of the stuff in the bed. Sheriff get Onstar to locate it. Rather than take it directly to the lot and secure it and inventory the bed. He takes my truck 10 miles from his home and drops it in a parking lot of a old warehouse and goes home to take a nap and in mean time everything in my truck gets stolen
It's crazy how repo people lie to customers about how they can just call and make a payment to get there car back! Once your car is picked up by the repo guy, you have to come up with the remaining balance to get your car back!! I've worked in the car business for many years, and have a very good understanding how it works! Unless, its from a buy here pay here, which may offer some flexibility!

for the sake of virtually everyone I would be in favor of a vehicle shutdown thereby making the vehicle worthless until it is properly secured. some of these folks would vandalize the auto. just a shame.
I would have made a good repo man. As soon as the bank told me that they hadn't made a payment in six months I would have no sympathy at all. I would leave with the car no matter what the sad story was or how much money they had on the way. You're walking home.
