thank you very much ! i'm 73 years old. l started playing guitar in 1948 at age 9 . i played the night clubs 6 nights a week from 1960 to 1983 . then i got burnt out and quit playing guitar altogether till about 5 years ago when i started playing again and posting on youtube. :-)
Love it! Sometimes the rules have to be broken. Reminds me of the good ol' days just jamming on those jazz standards like Just Friends with my dad (God bless his soul) on guitar and me on sax. Thank you for ALL your videos. I have learned so much from you on my journey to playing now jazz guitar.
Wow! That new guitar is sounding great. But, of course, it is the man behind the guitar that makes it sound great and you certainly did that on this one. This was very enjoyable and I thank you for sharing it with us. Glad to hear your hand or finger is better now. Happy Holidays! Sam
Hi Freddy, you sound great as always! I love your new Peerless guitar. It sounds awesome. I know what my next guitar will be. A Peerless like yours of course. Best wishes for the new year. Stay healthy my friend!
With that beautiful tone and that sweet playin' you don't never have to apologise to nobody. Great stuff Freddy, as good as a Jazz fan will hear anywhere, and I mean anywhere.
Hi Freddy! I've been too busy lately to check up on you... I am glad you are doing well and back at it. I also see you got yourself a new guitar (The Renaissance from Peerless -- one of Matt Otten's favorite guitars.) Sounds awesome, specially in your hands. You deserve it my friend! Just checked on all your posts since June to catch up. Great contributions. Thank you and here's my Best Wishes for a very Happy (and Healthy) New Year to you and your wife. XOX
thank you very much Shaun ! it means a lot to me me that i get such a nice comment from a guitarist such as you as i consider you one of the finest cleanest finger style guitarist i've seen . i watch all your videos and to tell you the truth, i'm a little jealous as i played classical guitar for many years till i got nerve damage to my right hand and arm.i can't move my fingers,so i can only play with a pick.but hearing you gives me great pleasure . your great !
thanks Paul ! i tore up my left hand pretty bad about 8 months ago , and couldn't play till a couple months ago . i still check out your blues and those gadgets you use . good hearing from you .
Yeah.. You did Freddy. I wanna hear more melody! Lol! Great playing friend. Best of luck with the hand. I first this one ; say a few years ago? And then some. Love it. Keep groovin' Freddy. Regards John
Thanks Freddy, that's kind. Replying like this has given me an opportunity to have another listen to your fine playing on this toon, just lovely. Well, in many ways I'm jealous myself - I just never had the brain for jazz, and I wish I had. I'm a lousy plectrum player which is occasionally a bit of a handicap in band situations but we all have to make the most of the things we're able to do I guess :-) .. have a good weekend Buddy.
All you need is a red cape with a ligthing bold on it and you'd be ready to take flight. Holy cow Freddy! That's some FINE jazz right there. Looks like your hand has more than recovered......hugs and a big smootch on the cheek......Pamela
@@freddym223 Im glad you're still at it. I'm 71 and trying to play every day. I also play pedal steel guitar so I have plenty to keep up with. I enjoy your talent and advice and have for years. Thanks for the memories. All my best. Larry Dering.
Hi Freddy. Merry Christmas my friend. Extremely busy recovering from knee surgery. Also trying to care for the good lady. She too is recovering from knee ops! We just hit the buffers together! I have a line-up of standards to get down, so look out for them after the holidays! Nice tone and swing m'man. Keep 'em coming. Take care... John

Hi Dick ! happy new year right back at you ! i sent for this peerless guitar .cost $950.00 delivered brand new with about a $175.00 case .i've played $3500.00 guitars that are no better than this . i was surprised how good the quality is .the pickups are well balanced with a soft tone. well you know since your conti is made by peerless ,so you know how good they are .
Hi Terry ! the red is an "arbor AJ136" . . the black one is an "arbor AJ 135 0r 125 i think . they get great tone and only cost about $300.00 new . mine played good out of the box . my new one is a peerless . $1000.00 but plays like a 4000.00 gibson . thx for sub !
