Freddie thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and explain so patiently each bar of the song in a disinterested way. You are a great person, thank you so much for sharing the knowledge of a lifetime.
thanks for commenting . I hope it helps . I didn't mean to come across as disinterested . I was actually very interested in making this video so that people could enjoy the the guitar as much as I have since 1948 when I started at age 9 . Merry Xmas !
Thank you Freddy. After many months using a slightly different style I have found you and 'I get it!' Wonderful to prep this for a family get-together. You have a very useful teaching style.
Very kind of you to share your knowledge...have a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year...by the way you taught me my first jazz chord. Means a lot take care sir. Respect forever.
glad to hear your doing well with this tune Cliff . i arranged this pretty straight without a lot of fancy stuff so that it would be easy for most people to play .
Freddy - Your arrangement is right where it should be for those wanting to get started with chord melody arrangements. I wish I would have had this 30 years ago. Thank you again! Cliff
Simple is good and underrated. I really value your approach along with teaching at the song level. I did a Satin Doll chord melody lesson and have other ones that I made that use simple jazz chords so people can play a whole tune. Plus you come across as a gentle man. Keep up the great work!
Sorry I posted too many times. But still love o hear your voice down to earth and been a blessing to us in Jesus Christ our saviour. Sir may our lord bless your and see your at rapture as he mentioned in 1 thesis 4. I read book of Luke 17 and sure you served him right. Bless you sir, love to hear your voice, no less than preacher to us. Love in our lord will see you at resurrection😊

ok Freddie, I worked my tail off on this and finally got it down pretty smooth and basically in time. appreciate very much the effort you took to put this tutorial up. I think some of my friends are actually impressed.:)So thanks again!
You are soo patient. I luv your easy to follow video. I am just starting to use these cords more frequent and what a great song to have them in. Thanks for your terrific TAB.
thanks Will . i arranged this so that people who are not very advanced have a shot at playing this piece . actually , it's easier for me to make a more advanced arrangement . it's harder for me to keep it simple and not use big strechy chords and still make it not sound too corny .
Thanks Freddy! I've been playing parts of this tune for years and thanks to you, I finally filled in the missing pieces. Now it sounds like White Christmas! I've embellished some of your arrangement but darn, it if don't sound like White Christmas. Great job as always! Thanks! Cliff
Great lesson Freddy. You are a true artist. I love your playing style. I have been more of a blues, rock , and country guy. However, I really look forward to mastering your jazz style, with the beautiful voicings you use.
keith weyuker hi Keith . yes , I to started on old country tunes and B.B.King blues , but once I got into the jazz thing I never looked back . but it's all good as long as you dig what your playing .
thank you Rey ! that's because i am a mere mortal who remembers the struggles i had when i first started learning this very difficult instrument over 65 years ago .
Excellent job as usual Freddy! Thanks for the help on this and other time proven classics. Its really helps to get your breakdown. Thanks very much for sharing your talent in such a productive way. Any time you want to do another Christmas standard I'm sure people like myself (long time player in my 60's but a non-jazz player) would love to benefit from it. All the best!
Hi Karissa . Thanks for the nice comment . hey . i checked out your channel . i really enjoyed listening to you guys jammin ! i'm age 83 . but i was lucky to have good friends to jam with like you when i was young . brings back great memories .
Thank you so much Freddy...I been playing guitar since i was 15 yrs and was not able to play much of the R&B or jazz of the 1950's and 1960's, because i did not know much music theory. Last year i started studying and am amazed at what i now know and can do. I followed you on this song with no problem....Do you have a website which teaches jazz chords and other jazz concepts?
I saw U ..long time ago....but today I am in your video...& so far...half way this song....& I think U teach the level I am......I have no idea how to get to the tabs yet...........................I am just looking @ your hand.....& with that.....song is coming along nice .. Thnks for your time Freddy ............& Merry Xmas
Hi Freddy, I'm really glad to find this great tutorial of yours in the middle of summer which gives me very much time to practice it until the holidays :D I'm quite a beginner and my handicap so to say are my not so small finger tips which make it a a litte harder to properly grab the chords but your easy-to-follow video encourages me to practice on, thank you! I got a question besides, what equipment are you using in terms of amp and stuff? Have a great time and thanks again! Regards from Germany :)
thanks for your positive input Sirius and also for subscribing ! i hope you get this down by xmas . my guitar is a cheap $250.00 arbor aj136 and my amp is a roland cube 60 . early happy holidays :-)
Freddy, Thanks so much for all the wonderful lessons you have posted! I'm amazed! I play mainly blues and ragtime finger-style guitar and am inspired to want to play some jazz. I studied with Pete Pancrazi for a while when I lived in Phoenix. Now I live in Prescott. So this is my question - You have so many excellent beginning jazz lessons - how can I sort them out and put together a logical, organized program? Do you have a lesson #1, lesson #2, etc.? Help! Rick
