Lisa you are a great teacher! I feel like I have advanced much more in the past two days since I have found your you tube channel then I had in the past 3 months floundering around trying to find the right teacher for me! Thank you for making learning the ukulele so easy!
I think this is the first video I've seen that describes strumming so well. It was getting difficult just using thumb to strum and felt like I was doing some goofy compensations.

Happy to help! Donner ukulele has a travel ukulele that you can pick up for under $40 right now. My husband is really enjoying his. Take it on the road.
Although, you’ve always made it plain that the first D on the cowboy strum is a 2 strings only strum, I’ve realised that I have at times been doing a whole strings first strum and then running out of time for the DU bit! Now I see why.
Thanks for all your tutorials and help ..love the slow pace just right for me 👏
You are so welcome!
Good strumming.
Thanks.
I hope this helps you on your ukulele journey!

Both a full down strum and a partial are just fine. Its all about coordinating the timing.
I obviously missed this video, but sometimes, just a revisit to something we all think we know reaps its own rewards.
I hear you there!
