I have purchased many items from the Burbank Ikea over the years. It's fun putting the stuff together. 😄 Not a big fan of their Swedish meatballs, but I love their crepes with the ligonberry jam!

Congrats Nico! the secret to the meatball plate is the perfect bite of meatball,mashed potatoes, Longberry and gravy its the best. I have not been to ikea since covid but we used to go just to eat. Thank you now i totally want to go back
Hi Bill and Lisa! The side with your salmon is their Grönsakskaka, and it's my favourite thing to eat there! I always pick some up in their frozen section to take home.
Oddly, Ikea is one of my favourite places to dine at. Not "gourmet" by any means, but the reason I like it is I've never had a bad meal there. Everything is well prepared at reasonable prices. I really can't say that about every "proper" restaurant I've dined at. Also even on busy days the restaurant's noise level is surprisingly low, so the dining experience is good all around at Ikea.
Yes, we can see the cafe/restaurant being popular. We did notice the low noise level too.

Was hoping you would try the food at IKEA. Have been to a few IKEAs in Austin and Houston and they are huge. Definitely a full day but so many great idea, especially when you have a small space. Have never eaten at one though. Will have to check it out next time.

This past Friday was IKEA's annual Midsummer AYCE Swedish Buffet! Make sure you go next year and use the IKEA friends and family rewards card to save more. You'll be able to try all their dishes! Their almondy and daim cakes are delicious. Get that next time. And look for their Julbord Holiday Smorgasbord in December.

I have a glass table from ikea that cost $99 back then. I used to get the $1 ice cream cone too! Haven’t been to ikea Palo Alto in ages!
They didn't have any ice cream or frozen yogurt, would've matched our apple dessert! lol

Literally 15 mins from my sis in laws place in Eagle Rock. Been to that store and engaged in the swedish food goodness!!
I just came back from Stockholm. Briefly went into what they called Ikea City. Its like walking into a very scaled down store compared to the ones in the states. Mainly sold small items but you can also sit at their customer service to get a custom build.

When I know what I want, I go in through the exit and directly to the warehouse to see where what I want is & just pick it up.

I was just at IKEA in St Louis, and the only food they have are the meatballs and Chicken Tenders, mac and cheese, and fries, salads and desserts.
Breakfast is good value, I always have 12 meatballs and onion rings for lunch
The chicken and meatballs have my mouth watering!
I wish they would serve the vanilla sauce with the apple cake. That’s usually how its served in Sweden. Please visit Stockholm one day during June or July. It’s so beautiful!

Thanks. That looked fun. They built an IKEA maybe 14 yrs older in a city 1 hr away. I yet to go. I don't have a car anymore. I did once work with a Swedish-American nurse ,RN, who made the Swedish meatballs with the lingonberries. Good.

Hi enjoyed your video on Ikea, we went there years ago when they built this huge one here in Las Vegas and I must admit we did not like the swedish meatballs at all and I was very surprised at how much they sell them because we actually thought they were gross lol , but to each their own... As you know just too many other good choices here in Las Vegas... We ate at momo fuku in Cosmo the other night, it was delicious.. and then insider tip they sell a bo saam for $180, but what they don't tell you is you could get a half order which is huge and worth $90 ! And leftovers also !!

The apple cake is similar to Dutch apple cake from Entenmann’s. I don’t know now if they make it anymore but it’s similar to that.

Hi. To me, these plates are a good dinner sized portion. I think in the US we are so used to the over-sized portions that we get which probably contributes to the fact that there are a lot of overweight people in the US. These portions are just right so that you don’t feel over-full. Just enough to fill you up without making you feel bloated after a meal. You don’t feel like you have to go somewhere and lay down after you eat (which isn’t good for you). I’ve been to Ikea but never ate in the restaurant. Next time I go in, I’ll check them out.

Burbank IKEA is my favorite. I didn't know it was the biggest. But it's very new. And the eating area is quite nice. There's actually a really amazing Armenian place nearby--Adana--which has been put on the map by Mark Bittman, who reviewed it for the New York Times. And it truly is the best in all of Metropolitan LA. And that's saying a lot...because I live off Westwood Boulevard in Little Tehran!

The IKEA in Burbank has been there for over 25 years. It was there when I lived there back in the early 90s.
Wow, I’ve never heard of any IKEA that big. While you were going through the menu one thing that I didn’t see is the soft vanilla frozen yogurt in a cone. That would’ve gone perfect with the dessert that you had. Tastes exactly like ice cream. Nice to see Nico! 🇨🇦

Hello! Congrats NICO! The IKEA down the hill from me is in the same shopping center as Costco and a Lowe’s so complete chaos. So I only go to IKEA to get Swedish meatballs and the salmon after I browse through all the aisles. Yes! That’s the thing that items are so affordable but “we don’t need it!” Lol!😊 Don’t forget to pick up a tray of the cinnamon rolls to go! And try their Swedish candy esp. the chocolates…This was fun to see you two checking up on NICO…take care!

Whenever I go to IKEA, (which is rare these days), I always ask for extra Gravy on top of the Mashed Potatoes.
