Thank you for this interview, Karl Goldsmith is to be admired for sharing his experiences. We can all learn from the de-Nazification of his hometown in Germany, and how it could apply to ridding the fascists of today's world.
The German machine gun he had was likely the sturmgehwer. It had a magazine but not for 100 rounds. It fired an intermediate cartridge, not a rifle round like in the Mauser.
