Bit of a deep cut, but watching you type and name cities reminds me of that parks and rec opening where Ron gets a typewriter and decides to type every word he knows. 😆 Amazing work man, your recall skills are mind blowing!
You may know this already, but Truth or Consequences used to be Hot Springs. It changed its name to win a radio contest. The game show by the same name held a contest during the early 50s where they promised to broadcast the show from the first town changed its name to Truth or Consequences. It certainly worked from a publicity standpoint.

This would be such a fun livestream to do! I honestly think once you got one person from each state or who had lived a long time in each state to help, you could probably knock it out of the ballpark. There's also a counties one if you're of a mind to give it a go. Pro tip: Go for the most common city names first. Nearly ever state has a Watertown & a Springfield. Madison, Norwich, Plainfield, and many others are in multiple states as well.
Surprisingly, The Woodlands TX is not incorporated. They have something on the books about not being able to be annexed by Conroe or Houston until 2057, so to the residents the cost of tax increase for incorporation outweighs the benefits it would bring.
The Houston area is tricky to cover with Expert mode. To cover the parts between Conroe and Houston, you need: Waller, Jersey Village, Humble, and either Shenandoah or Oak Ridge North. Still, there's going to be gaps NW and NE of Houston inside the Grand Parkway (SH 99) along SH 290 and SH 90, respectively, where I'm pretty sure there are no incorporated places. In NW Houston, in the Copperfield area, there's a gap between Katy, Waller, Jersey Village, and Tomball. Hockley and Cypress aren't incorporated. In NE Houston, it's between Humble, Jacinto City, Baytown, Dayton. Crosby and Atascocita don't work. South and west of Houston is a lot easier. You still need to pull the name of a few enclaves like Hedwig Village, Southside Place, or Piney Point Village. At least they exist. ---- DISCLAIMER: I had to use Google Maps to fill the Shenandoah/Oak Ridge North gap. Oak Ridge North doesn't ring a bell with me at all. Also, I previously played this using Intermediate Mode and spent the whole time on Texas and Illinois and was unable to cover either state. For Illinois, all I needed was Alton. For Texas, I think San Angelo would have captured everything or come close. Even then, I resorted to wild guessing of presidents names, British cities, European cities., etc. I filled a gap in Illinois by guessing my last name, which I didn't even know was a town. My point is that I'm orders of magnitude worse than CG even in the two states where I've lived.
For Rhode Island, there is a "city" called New Shoreham, which is the only city located on the tiny island off of the RI coast, so that is most likely what you missed.
I know you feel drained and feel like you missed a lot, but heck of a performance! Most normal people are probably lucky to get like 1,000 cities on this quiz. Also I feel slightly robbed. You bypassed my birth city in Cali and my current city in Washington, which you’ve hit both of in other videos. I didn’t get my shout out 😞😂.
As a person from Europe it feels like guessing on european cities in the quiz about us states is not a bad. So if you can Europe you can a lot of cities in US without realising it..
Not sure off the top of my head but my guess is you may have missed Exeter and North Smithfield for RI, there's only I think 44 towns/cities here and many of them are also names you typed for other states. Also the Block Island town you were looking for was New Shoreham! Which for some reason is the name of the town for all of Block Island, not sure why they call the town and the island different names lol
Do you know most these cities from Geoguessr or have you actually had real life experinces with them? I’m really curious since you somehow know all of the tiny obscure towns I’ve been to while on road trips and stuff like Spearfish and Wall. It’s really impressive.
spearfish and wall are pretty well known vacation spots, as are a good bit of the western towns, but geoguessr/looking at maps likely got him to his current level
Most cities I know are from real life travels (lots of road trips), running a small online business shipping orders nationwide, and being a geography nerd my whole life lol. Surprisingly GeoGuessr has not helped me learn many place names
I come here from the hugequiz site, and like doing the expert quizzes. Is this the only attempt at this quiz on the expert level? It's pretty cool to actually see somebody getting an extremely high score, especially with a tougher time limit. Any chance you might try the expert world coverage quiz?
I definitely might do the world version on expert mode sometime! Think I tried it on intermediate a while back. Thanks for joining as a channel member by the way I appreciate that a lot!
@@ChicagoGeographer I just started making videos the other day from the Hugequiz site, I tried the intermediate one, nearly completed it. Hope to see more Hugequizzes soon!
As a north dakota man, hearing you pronounce minot, pembina, and especially whapaton was a treat! Dont blame you whatsoever those cities all arent pronounced like they seem, Minot has a long "o" sound, makes it rhyme with "why-not" "my-not". Pembina is pronounced like you did but the "ina" isnt with a long "E" but an "I" better to think like pem-bin-a Whapeton is pronounced like it ends in tin, whapeton, and the beggining kinda sounds like the word whopper, also the "E" makes the "I" sound, so whopp-i-tin Hope that helps, if you read this. Those are the regions tricky ones :)

@@ImPasta766 its true! hawaii has no incorporated cities, and honolulu/oahu are county consolidated govt, meaning honolulu is the only unincorporated state capital.
@@jayd5694& @ImPasta766, expanding on this, Hawaii only has one level of government below the state level, which are the 5 counties of Hawaii, Honolulu, Kalawao, Kauai, and Maui. Kalawao is tiny...it's the smalled county in the US in land area and second smallest in population behind Loving, TX (82 people vs. 64). The City and County of Honolulu was incorporated in 1907, but none of the others are.
Im very surprised that you didnt completely butcher a lot of the names in California (there were some, i wont lie, but not as many as i expected). Im also surprised you knew of Corcoran, but not Tulare or Delano. You left out a very large portion of the Valley that youd be surprised has a lot of incorporated towns, even tho i grew up in the Valley even i couldnt name half of them.
Since when do we Dutch people pronounce the letter E and A as U? It is simply pronounced Nee - der - land. Edit: I misinterpreted your comment I think. I thought you meant that you were from the country, but you probably mean that you live in the american village.
