Hi Sandra! Thank you so much for mentioning the Persnickety Puzzler channel in your video! You are crushing it in the games with more than 5,000 pieces done! I'm also participating but don't believe I've assembled as many pieces as you have. The Puzzle Olympics is a really fun event that puzzlers would really enjoy so we all need to get the word out! :0)
I've done two puzzles for the opening ceremonies, two for the preliminary games and three for the bronze round. The rules and processes for posting puzzles are kind of finnicky and took some getting used to, but I enjoy seeing all the fantastic puzzles from puzzlers all over the world, and getting likes on my posts too. Over all, a very special puzzling event and I'm happy I found out about it from you and Shannon at the Persnickety Puzzler.
I’m steadily making my way through all your videos :-) I’d never heard about this and I’m looking forward to giving it a try if they do it again on 2025!
Love the puzzles you have done!! And wow those are a lot of pieces as well!!! You've been productive!!! I did 7 for preliminary and 5 for bronze. So far only one for silver, but I'm working on two more right now. I dont normally work on two at the same time but I have one cat that loves to "help" with the process!!!
Sandra, it is amazing how well you are doing. Over 5,000 pieces in one week? That just blows my mind. I wanted to participate in the Summer Olympics this summer but my 2 teens and my 9 year old are home for the summer so I have no time for it. I am doing lots of 300 piece puzzles mostly summer related.
This is my first time taking part in the summer puzzle olympics (only participated once before in the 2023/2024 winter olympics), and I enjoy it so much. I hope to be able to fill the Bingo card by the end of next month. So far I did 4 puzzles for the opening ceremonies, 1 for preliminary round and two for bronze round. Can't wait for next round to open. 10 x 500 piece puzzles on my to do list for the next round and 7 x 1000 piece puzzles on my to do pile for July. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to finish them all in time. Thank you for introducing me to the puzzle olympics.
Love that 3000pc puzzle. It looks so fun. You know my thoughts on Puzzle Olympics, after trying it several times now. But I love it for you that you enjoy it and it gets you doing larger piece counts on a regular basis. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
So far I’ve done two for opening ceremonies and two for bronze. The Athletic Fit one you showed in your examples is one I did for opening ceremonies. There’s only two people puzzling for the U.K.
Great job so far! I’ve done 4,250 pieces so far…but that includes the bronze round. Silver and gold are gonna be my favorite rounds I think…I was pretty limited on the low count puzzles and so I was stuck with some bad quality puzzles…but I’ve got some new to me brands I’m planning on trying…Trefl, Aquarius, Heye and Educa…and I’ve already tried Eeboo and Eurographics. I’m really digging it, even if stopping to take pictures and the actual posting of the pictures on FB can be a pain sometimes. 😂 I haven’t even started my 3000 piece puzzle yet though…I need to get working on it…I actually have 2 that I’d be thrilled to finish for the games. Fingers crossed!
I too find it challenging to remember to take pictures especially when I'm speed puzzling a 300 piece puzzle. Which brands are you working on for the 3000 piece puzzle category?
@@thepuzzlingcanadian I have two different Aquarius puzzles…a Star Trek Next Generation one and a Lord of the Rings one…actually I think I saw the LotR one on a video of yours…that’s what caused me to look up Aquarius as a brand!
Been enjoying the games so far. But I'm on the road for a lot of June... so not much puzzle time. I have given myself a goal of at least three puzzles per round (maybe only 1 or 2 for Closing Ceremonies) . I am at 1849 total pieces with OC, PG, and Bronze rounds. I am looking forward to the gold round as I have a lot of 1000 pc puzzles to work through.
I have done Art Puzzle before and I actually love their brand. They have some gorgeous images and yes they do have that traditional ribbon cut style - two in two out. I don't mind that piece cut style so long as the image has variation.

Happy to hear you're participating. I still have a few more days left for the silver round so I'll need to focus on getting a few more completed.

I haven't made much progress with the 3000 pc but hopefully over the next few weeks I can have some time to work on it.

That Athletic Fit puzzle is perfect for this event.

Glad you're enjoying it. The Gold round seems to be popular with many puzzlers.
P.S. still desperately miss World Puzzle Days . If only the admins were as nice and understanding as Gunther. He made it so fun!
I too miss World Puzzle Days
Art puzzle brand use old fashion ribbon cut which is not interesting these days I do not recommend it
