- Trucking into the underground caves at the Kansas City Space Center in Independence, Missouri. This was my first time in caves in my 6 years of driving a truck.

I lived only 10 mins from there when I was a kid. Thanks for finally showing me the inside after all these years!
It was a little nerve wracking at first, not knowing what to expect. But it stays the same temperature all year under there.
Perfect choice of music! Getting The Matrix vibes 😀👍
I have delivered there a few times driving my 18 wheeler. It will test your backing skills to the dock. New drivers are totally intimidated. You can actually get lost in there if you don't pay attention to the signs.
I use to work there. I could show you all the good hiding spots lol
I think this is the strangest place I have ever seen and it's gigantic!
This place is huge and easy to maneuver compared to the receiving docks you have to navigate under skyscrapers.
I delivered there a couple of weeks ago...never knew there was a underground industrial park
I was there twice and was wondering if the cave Cafe is still there
I layed block in a few of the different cave systems around KC. We worked in the new areas they were converting to warehouses and such. The walls and ceilings were freshly painted. Every morning there would be fresh dark spots on the ceiling with rocks laying under em painted white on one side. That got my attention. Lol
Hopefully all the loose ceiling rocks have come down by now.
@@tomivie1487 I didn't really see em very often in other finished parts of the caves so I think it's just something that happens early in the finishing process.
Old Salt mine .
I watched a Documentary on the old History channel .
Where is the cave with the preppers rv park looking for campers? Its somewhere in kc area?
some one has been doing some digging wow that place is massive
My husband and sons have delivered in them, but my husband had some claustrophobia and we never accepted any loads there after I was driving with him. Thank you for the video - I had always wondered what it was like in there...
Louise Getts Miss Louise I got claustrophobia Just Watching the first couple seconds . I know how your Husband feels . Take Care 😊
I believe it is limestone. It has ventilation by 291 to circulation air. It's mainly a storage area for climate control needs.
It is limestone which I just heard on another video.
I have been there before
It’s Salisbury road?
how did u move your rig around there..
I've been there twice and not much room for error down there . They had a shinnys cave Cafe down there too . It was really small but wanted to see the cafe in a cave
Cool
Took me awhile to find it, but these are the caves the in ones NE of MO 291 and Truman Rd.
Yes, that's the correct location!
Going here tomorrow what is correct way to enter with Semi?
@@DeezulMetal I would say stop at the guard shack, but all entrances are able to handle semi traffic.
4:21 what a great place to jog!
Truck exhaust. No sunshine. No greenspace. Guess if I was in outer space or at the Mayo Clinic in the dead of winter.
@@stephenlennartz3466 I would say those are pro's considering I live in a place with hot weather. Except for the Truck exhaust.
What material it is?
Salt .
How much is parking😃..i will wintertime r.v camp..
I watched this waiting for the "cave in".
Why is there a limousine in there? At 3:47 look to the left. There’s a white, stretch limo.
Different companies rent space down there. You'd get no bird droppings when the car isn't in use lol.
Thomas Ivie there are bats in these caves used to drive down from Omaha and get records for iron mountain.
Cave/cavern=(body)cavity. These are titans you're inside of, bud. Facts.
Titan missile silos?
@@craft-o-matic2377 no, more like veins and arteries that are tens/hundreds of feet in diameter. The larger ones have vessels that are MILES wide.
Got to be an old mine.
Limestone mine. That’s what all the caves in Missouri were at one time
rock quarry before
Are the Pillars made of salt?
No, I'm pretty sure they are old limestone mines.
Beeboppin 🎶
I'm still waiting for it to cave in...
It didn't when they was blasting it out so I guess it's going to hold for now.
It has once but there is alot more than just a salt cave full of warehouses there's a whole military installation in there to accessed by a separate gate.
I wonder what the temperature is down there. I absolutely hate the music background. Mute.
Thanks for watching! Glad the mute button is working out.
An earthquake would suck.
*I AM IN MISSOURI*
Wtf is this about?? P
its a secret ufo base
Watch out for the lizard people who live down in caves
Why are we showing our enemies this?
It's not a base, dumby?
Thumbs down as had to mute the video to get away from the unwanted music you put in
Thanks for watching! Your feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm sorry you had to mute the video as I know it's an arduous process.
@@BufordT Being a smart ass isn't helping your cause
Very interesting but lose the annoying music please
Music sucks. It ruined your video. Narrate or use captions.
This place is huge and easy to maneuver compared to the receiving docks you have to navigate under skyscrapers.
