We had multiple problems at our church with digital break up, drop outs, and what you are experiencing. When you purchase your mics, you should also invest in a “FREQUENCY MANAGER”. This box constantly monitors all frequencies being used by you and anyone nearby. It automatically allocates “UNUSED” frequencies. It also changes the frequencies being used if any one of them becomes disturbed by another transmitter nearby. Shure makes the unit we use, but you probably could get the same thing made by Sennheiser.
I’ll look into. I believe we found the root of the issue. We actually have Allen and Heath corporate involved through our local dealer. They can’t recreate the issue in-house so they want to check it out. I also have an update about our microphones! Pretty excited!
That was awesome, Thanks so much for taking the time to share this valuable information. It just started in our area and I'm heading to church to see if it fixes some problems. You're truly appreciated brother! Thanks
Awesome! I’m so glad it helped! I have a couple other videos in regards to the popping noises if you need to check them out. Actually, I am going to make another video about it. Believe it our not, there were multiple issues taking place. Keep me updated 🤙
I got some popping/bursts last night with Sennheiser xsw2 system. Sadly for me it’s rack mounted in a dj booth where I can’t access the external squelch knob. I had the squelch set right in the middle. According to everything I read it says if you’re getting pops and bursts turn the squelch higher. If you’re getting muted sounds lower the squelch. Idk 🤷🏼♂️ I also read if you’re close to receiver high squelch is ideal but if you need distance then lower the squelch. Super frustrating for almost $1000 in mics.
I agree! Very frustrating! I am actually going to make another video to update this. It’s been such a fight to find the root of the issue. That’s how it is sometimes. Let me know if you find out what the issue is!
@@RevisionMedia it happened to me at a wedding at the end of summer and we realized that the venue had a blue tooth speaker in the other playing music for them. We tuned it off and there was no issue. I think I may look into some half wave antenna to increase connection strength.
I have found the same popping noises on a baringer 32. Found out it was an unshielded cat5 cable used for the snake. Moved to a quality shielded cable and the problem went away
There are so many factors that could be at play. It could be a number of things. Our popping actually started back up again and we are having to troubleshoot even more. Check all of your connections, power supplies, data cables, etc. also check any other oddities you may have like Wi-Fi power adaptor plugs, video equipment and anything else that might be tied into your system. It could be a problem if anything is under rated. I’ll keep y’all updated with our results.
Hi a question have you found what it is yet? I think I found something! I know how to provoke those pops maybe you have it too? it is often when the mixer is cold than when it warms up it does it worse, now i tapped gently on the metal on the top and then it also pops not always but very often.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. That’s pretty interesting. I downgraded the firmware and then ‘re-upgraded’ it and the popping went away for a few months. But now the monster is back!
That’s definitely a common truth! I am pretty blessed at my church. They are very good at giving the right amount of credit and support. Now, finding other volunteers is a bit rough! Thanks for checking out the channel!
Sounds like rf interference. I get similar when I have my mobile phone in my right trouser pocket and strap my guitar on. Nothing to do with the desk.,
You really should stop “broadcasting “ on those “forbidden “ frequencies for many reasons. How are you representing Christ to the outside world by continuing to operate in those frequencies? Saying you can’t “afford” it at this time, or that you’ll switch to newer models when money comes in is sidestepping and ignoring what Christ is calling us to do. Be holy in all things, even tech. It’s not sin for the government to sell off a batch of frequencies but it is sin to you to continue to operate in those frequencies because you’re not obeying the authority over you and that authority is not asking you to sin in this situation. Shure makes a great line of affordable wireless systems starting with the SLX series. Another commentator mentioned serious fines if you’re caught. He’s not kidding. Be godly and honor the Lord and represent Him well. Get out of the “forbidden “ frequencies and do well in the small areas that He has called you to obey in. I’m glad you found your problem, I highly suggest that going forward you switch to Shure. I’ve never had any issues with their stuff. Sennheiser stuff is finicky at best.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I’ve recommended and encouraged the people needed to make the switch. I don’t have 100% control over what happens. I don’t disagree with you.

We pastors always love our tech teams. Sadly we fail to give our sound guys and gals enough credit and support.

I was having the same issue but I found out my wireless router was the problem, so I move my wireless router to a 10ft a way and fix the problem.
Your wireless router for the sound board? You moved it away from the sound board?
Operating in the 600 band (save for a couple little spots) can garner ridiculous fines. Please stop using them immediately.
Thank you! I agree for sure. We have stopped. I appreciate your concern 😎
