    Thank you to ‪@AllenandHeathUK‬ for taking care of us!
    In my last video about “popping sounds” with our SQ 6, I was under the impression that a firmware update was the fix.
    A few days after updating the firmware, the popping noise returned. I’ve been troubleshooting the system for what seems like days. Finally, I think I’ve figured it out.
    We have 7 Sennheiser EW 100 microphones. One G2, five G3, and one G4. All of the Sennheiser microphones are in working order and have no issues. However, we keep getting a loud popping noise.
    After numerous emails with Allen and Heath, who have been very helpful by the way, we’ve narrowed the problem down to what we think is RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). UPDATE!! Not the problem as of 09-23-2022

      Hey, thanks for the comment! If you bought it through a distributor, I would let them know about the issue. Ask then if it's still under the manufacturer's warranty. If not, maybe try and reach out to A&H customer service.

    Hi @Revision Media. I have a different scenario and this has been a headache to me. "Nothing connected to XLR inputs 1 until 25" I am getting a popping sound when I turn the preamp gain. =(

    I have similar problems and have tried to record inputs and outputs to see if it would register. Do you think the desk's monitoring (SQ DRIVE) would capture this or is it sending out a spike that is after this processing phase?

    Hey at this point what would you say about the reliability of the sq6? How about using it outside in the heat?

    • @RevisionMedia
      @RevisionMedia  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think it’s great! I haven’t personally tried to use it outdoors in the heat but I know there is a local company here that does. They don’t have any issues with it. They actually own a few of them as loaners for their customers and highly recommend them. They are rated really well on Amazon too. amzn.to/4bxV2TO

    Hi Revision Media. Thank you for your videos. I have the same problem with poping, expecialy in 1-2 hour when mixete is turned, after that time it stops. Please is problem in RFI or in that IDC cable between cpu and board? Thank you.

    • @RevisionMedia
      @RevisionMedia  Год назад

      It very well could be. I would suggest getting in touch with Allena & Heath to start a service ticket.

      Service for allen heath is far away for me, from my country Bosnia and Herzegovina. From your videos I didnt get was yours problem in RFI or IDC cable you mentioned. Or those two are conected one to other?

    Hi,
    Good content :)
    We have the same issue at the moment with SQ mixer. Approximately how fast did that popping sound appear after mixer was powered on and connected to the powered speaker?

    • @RevisionMedia
      @RevisionMedia  2 года назад

      Man! So sorry for the late reply. It would usually happen right away or at least within the first hour.
